[Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] Welcome everyone to O’Brien Ice House for the final game of this Friday night and I Victoria Premier A division and it is um a battle between the anchors on the table. It is the top place Jets who from the season so far have taken the 27 of 28 points. They’ve yet to be defeated and last week was their only blemish on the season so far. Only managing to get the tie. They take on the Sharks who have yet to record a win from their 14 games. Only have two points out of a possible 28 uh for the season so far. and they’ll be trying desperately to put up a good show uh to have a respectful end of the season and um maybe pull off a massive upset. My name’s Michael Glo and I’m joined by Adrian McMillan in commentary once again. And what’s your thoughts on this game, Adrian? Oh, we’ve got a David and Goliath battle here, right? And um Jets have been buzzing all year. Sharks are just doing their best to try to build something for next year and try to get some foundation going for to bring into the next season. And uh both teams will leave it out on the ice and it’s good to see Paige back in the lineup for the Sharks. Yeah, Josh Paige hasn’t been seen for a little while. Got a massive concussion. Um G would have been midpoint of the season. Um slowly been working his way back and he’s actually wearing the full cage today as well, which I think is probably a positive move. Yeah. Yeah. Got the fresh bowl on and ready for action. So, uh, we’re going to have a good battle here no matter what. It just seems like there’s a not a big bench for the Sharks. But, uh, I I hope to see them come out and really really take it to this top team. They’ve gone through the season in an absolute battle and, uh, Jets have really cruised through the season easily. So, um, let’s hope that the Sharks really take it to him and we got ourselves a good hockey game to finish off this Friday night of hockey. It’s amazing the O’Brien Ice House. Great place to play and the OSM live crew absolutely buzzing. Few dance moves pulled. So great to see. So opening face off has been won by the Jets as Croft gets it out towards Barrett. Bar’s been stripped of the puck there by Thompson. Max has the fear of going back. Dan Matchin clears the zone. First pass out towards Ford pass has been turned over there by Max as of Fraser. So it’s set in the corner. Thompson will get there first. Thompson fires, shoots and hit bit of metal. I think may hit the crossbar and the side pipe there. And the Jets will look to clear pass. Fights Kanto. Kenna just walks in, fires, shoots, and now Barrett and that’s going to be loved there by Wy Minder for the Jets. The opposite side, sorry, for the char for the Jets. It has been Kieran Brand as he has been all the way through the season so far. Yeah, good for the SH to get a shot there off the iron, but come back the other way. So from the faceoff one by the Jets who Lakers gets it out towards Sparks along the halfall sends that one in the corner but Barbuto turned it over and the Jets are over here through Jos Paige and skating back now will be Daniel Shaw. So Shaw for the Jets outlet passive as Fiv takes the blue line just drives in net pass. Good one. Nice set up and hotter with the save and the shot there by Heath. Yeah, the net’s off. The play continues [Applause] now. Reed Get it out towards Scott [Applause] skating back with the park out towards Adam. The fev [Applause] puts on the brakes. A head looking towards Kenny Caballo. Blocked it and the Sharks skated out as we got a flying glove. And that was from Luca Cabierro. So Roberts pass the low slot that’s being picked off. It’s going to be cleared away. Thompson will get there first. [Applause] And now Crucial Ed goes out wide. Pass has been picked off. He’s a chance now for the shark. Shot comes in. Big rebound on offer. And that shot was by Kobe Blundle. The Blundle gets the puck back, fires, shoots, and that shot attempos wide. [Music] And so Seden gets it from hotter [Applause] [Music] going for the stretch pass looking for Croft. Barrett’s also there but over skates the puck. Thompson. Thompson poke checked away from him by Dan Matchin. Now Croft little backhand hoping Kanto can get to it but it’s being picked off there by Barbuto. Good wasn’t able to clear. Kept in by Match and Barretts there. Paige poke ticked away from him and a shot there by Barrett who scores. Opening goal of the game goes to the Jets. Yeah, long time between whistles and Jets will get that whistle with a nice goal. really worked hard for it and um I mean the shark goalie earlier in the sequence of playing it seems like a year ago really made a massive save and uh put the net back on the morings himself but then just couldn’t quite get to that one to cover one n so the minor premier of Jets get the first goal in this one as finds Kando Barrett there in support Barrett with the pack looking in his options try to get to the Low slot kept in by matching for the Jets who certainly brought their full tempo hockey to this encounter. Not taking the bottom play sharks lightly at all as Max. Did he play that with the bottom of his stick there? Caugh out the party moves but Barrett now has the part to cross fire shoot scores. Captain’s goal with 13 minutes and 5 seconds left on the clock. just beautiful pass to the middle. He just uh didn’t give the goalie much reaction time. Put it right top corner and uh that’ll be 2-0 with 12 minutes and 53 seconds left on the clock. Seven shots to one. Yeah. So, the Jets showing no mercy in this one so far and they win the face off. Helas has takes the blue line that go for the Sharks. beat out by Scott, but it’s been turned over. Adam trying to cut the middle lane. Astra still has a pucket. A nice glove save there by Wy Hot and that will make him feel much better. Yeah, it’s always good to glove one down when the players come dancing in like that. And uh he looked like he was really on. He looked like he’s confident and hopefully that will boost it up right there. So Jets win the phase of Luke Cavalero looking to clear the zone. Hasn’t been able to. Kept in by Crucial Fire. Cabalero with the block. Blundle now with the puck for the Sharks. Carro sends that one into the corner. Thompson. Shot comes in. Rebound on offer. Uh it’s uh the steady defense of the Jets clear the zone. Yeah, interesting one there to glove it and looked like he deliberately played it. Um maybe he’s looking for an apple trying to get the assist trying to get it down the other end, but uh that’ll come all the way back to his end with 11 minutes and 20 seconds left on the clock. I know. Yeah, it’s been Yeah, we’ve got a he called a miss call. So yeah, mis call. Yeah, always good when the the liners can um admit it and um bring it back to center and heal the playing field, but it’s a Jets who do win the face off again. Crucial will take the blue line. Fire to shoot. Shot attempt was blocked. Crucial gets it back. He lost it. Managed to get it back once again. Lost the park once again. Thompson looking a bit clear but has been kept in by Adam for the jet. Gets it out towards Shaw. Shaw looking for Ast crucial. Sharks looking to clear and they will through Thompson trying to get out towards Fraser. Missed the target to Laramastia as the fe stripped the puck there by Fraser. Yeah, great little play there. just walked in over the blue line, made no mistake, made his way around the D and uh beautiful little shot there. As you can see, just delayed and had the patience enough to find the hole. So, the Jets have conceded three goals from nine shots. Only had one shot on net themselves. [Music] So, from the face off, Max as the fee gets it out towards matching. wide pass picked up by Max as the feed, but that is an offside goal. Yep. So, Sharks will be happy just to take the pressure up a little bit and reset. [Music] Jets are happy to get a face off just outside their offensive zone with 9 minutes and 25 seconds by the time the clock drops. Three to score. Neutral zone face off and it’s going to be won by the Shan Cavalero looking to clear the zone. Hasn’t been able to. It was a block by opposing number 10 Kennedy. Cavalero again was blocked by Kennedy and hand pass. They got a hand pass call. That was probably the only saving grace there for the Sharks. Yeah. Yeah. I think the Jazz players almost a little bit bewildered and didn’t quite realize that came off the glove of this player. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have played it. That’ll go just outside the Sharks defensive line. So from the face off one by the Sharks. So Scott battling against Max Asafi of Hudas there in support. In fact, it was Dan Match and Paige gets to the puck first for the Sharks, but he’s lost it. Atlet pass. Picked up by Barb. Max as the fee just burns off Barbut and Heath. Kennedy tries to send that one the corner. Martin Day will get there first for the Jets and the half wall. Clink pass it back towards Matchen out wide. That was a good pass to Martin. But the shot was off target. So right now the Jets are just toying with the sharks. Usually not a good idea if you’re out in the wild, but um totally acceptable here tonight at the ice house. Brown plays the park [Applause] being poked away. Martondale fires shoots and it’s another goal to the Jets. Martondale gets the goal. Yeah, they found the back of it now once more. 7 minutes and 38 seconds there. 10 shots to one. 4 is a score and uh let’s hope the Sharks can find some answers here and try to put up a fight. So face off one by the Sharks. Gabos sends up one into the corner. Brown will come out of his net to play the puck. Crucial out wide. So Huda is looking for Barrett just on the wrong side of him. headed down there by Fraser who conceded some territory out towards Luga Cabierro. So Fraser [Applause] Thompson with the shot but didn’t get enough of that in the end and went wide. So the Sharks are still stuck on one shot on the scoreboard as Kanto finds Barrett crosses the blue line. got cars to cross. Gets a shot away and hotter will glove that one. Yeah, he’ll cover up and settle things down for the Sharks. Got to say the Jets are buzzing and uh they’ll get a line change for the Sharks. Jets will keep the same staff out and uh we got 6 minutes and 20 left in the first period. 4-nil game. So at the moment with a 4-nil lead, the Jets are on full thrust as a shot there by Croft was blocked. Tanto crucial there managed to get a piece on that one. Keep the play in the zone. Now Croft [Applause] buckers loose. Kanto gets it back to Croft looking for Barrett in the slot. [Applause] Now Brown. Oh, too many men on the ice there. Bad line change for the Jets. Brown just looking for the assist. He wants his apple, but it didn’t quite pay off there. That’ll be a penalty going to Jez. And finally, the Shags get a break in this one. It’s Adam Master with the player making his way to the penalty box. So, power play coming the Sharks way. And it’ be fair to say it’s an understatement to say that the Sharks score from this, but they lose the face off. Helas clears it out. Parkinson will skate onto it. Who like the trailer shot there by Parkinson and he’s found a way through the jet score short-handed. Yeah. And absolutely like the when it comes to foreing on the power on the penalty kill, you’re not going to get much better than that, right? came in, took a short side shot and uh goalie just misbalanced a little bit. You see him there. He collects it nicely. Cuts around to the face off dot. Short angle shot and it just finds its way to the back of the net. Yeah, Hodter just got himself out of position to expose that, but the shot had to be good and it was good by Parkinson. So, it’s a 5n lead now to the Jets with 4 and 1/2 minutes remaining in the opening period. Little bit of miscommunication there between Max and Parkinson, but Parkinson will escape back and retreats back. Then just hands on a pass. Good work by Thompson for the Sharks. So Max as looking for Parkinson being kept in that occasion by Roberts tried to get out towards Blundle but as the park will clear the zone for the Jets. So the Sharks have the puck now through Roberts and he’ll send that one into the corner and Brown will come out of his crease. We’ll just leave that for Max Asia. [Applause] So Clink winds up and shoots the blue line, but that was wide to Kenny Cavaliro. Seven will get to the park first. Try to scoop it out to clear the zone. Paige does length will just concede territory and goes back at Max Fee out wide. Checked away there by Dan Matchin. Matching with the puck. [Applause] So Max has to feed gets out towards his brother Adam just out the pedaling box. So we’re back to five on five hockey. One goal come out of that special teams. It was shortand goal the Jets Max with a shot. Save there by hotter [Applause] [Music] and the save’s been made. Yeah, goalie did enough there. I mean, you saw that nice tow drag release there after coming out of the box. Like jets really they’re not they’re not uh pulling their foot off the gas. They’re really taking it to the Sharks and they’re taking this as a opportunity to get some plays going ready for the finals. So, the scoreboard has actually um not not kept up with the barrage. They still got four goals in the Jets. Yeah, but they do have five. I had to double check my notes to count numbers. Now, Paige has the park for the Sharks. Pass it out towards Scott to Barrett to Kanto out wide back out towards Coft. Barrett’s also there. Lines up, shoots and hotter makes the save. Yeah, great passing play there by the Jets. And the goalie did enough. I mean, when Jets come down and they make two nice passes and get a shot on, then it’s hard for a goalie. You’re going to have to move and readjust a couple times. And he did well. [Music] So from the face off it’s Robert who has it now from the Sharks trying to get out towards Blundle but he lost the puck to Barrett back to the point but Hulas couldn’t trap the parking had to get outside of the zone goes a wide pass out towards Ivankru there looking for Barrett also there is Croft Barrett with the park is waiting for Croft to get himself back on side and he does by forming a scrum puck comes out Barrett cando back to Barrett. This a good setup for the Jets. Barrett trying to get out towards Kanto once again. It was probably just one move too many on that occasion by the Jets out their pass. It’s just past Fraser and that’s going to be an icing call. Yeah, Jets being relentless with their playmaking there. Like you said, just one too many moves, but some really good passing. You you see it right on the tape. some tic-tac-toe players and uh Sharks really need to just try to release the pressure valve here with 48 seconds to go. So Sharks win the face off. Max A Shaw goes out wide. Adam gets the park, burns off a couple of Sharks defenders and will send that one in the corner. Parkinson leaves the race, but it’s going to be Roberts who has the puck now. Roberts looking to clear. Isn’t able to. Max fee keeps it in. Gets it out towards Shaw at the half. Pass to Aras. Just walks in. Shoot. Top shelf goal. Yeah, not much you can do there as a goalie. You just got a really good pass across the Royal Road and then um quick release as you can see that pass through the middle. Dangerous. No mistake made. That will be the end of the first period as well. So scoreboard has five, I have six. And those goals for the Jets, Croft, Crucial, Parkinson, Martenddale, Af, and David Barrett. Yeah, it’s a big lineup there, right? Yes, it is. Yep. And for the Sharks, one shot. One shot. I believe there might have been two. In my own mind, I feel like there was one that got gloved down and played, but uh must have been off the net. scorers got a better look from that angle for me and uh yeah 16 to1 shots 6 nil well the Sharks have got to be deflated but I don’t want to see any giving up and I don’t think they will they just need to find it no mercy shown by the Jets they are very much using this as a warm up for a push for the title yeah they there’s always a tough thing when you’re you’re a top by playing a bottom side in your final game that it becomes a bit of a gong show. It becomes messy. You you could either just drop down to their level or probably the only thing is with the score blown out as it is. How will the sharks respond? Will the sharks decide they’re going to get a bit chippy, a bit aggressive? They’ve got nothing to lose, right? A few invites for for a fisty cuff, anything like that. Yeah, it could get chippy, right? And uh the Sharks have got nothing to lose. So that’s always a dangerous position. And uh Jets, they’re not going to pull any punches. And start the second period. It’s a one by the Jets. Adam Feev. So got the goal to end the first period and gets it out towards Shaw. Shaw to Maxv [Applause] gets it from Shaw. Once again tipped wide there by Artemaster. Dan Mansion gets it out towards Armas Fee. wide pass with a shot. Rebound on offer [Applause] and still Armas wins the park. Now Dan Matchet at the point just walks in pass with a good one. Deflected offshore. Max has to feed to his brother Adam. Fires, shoots. That was blocked. Adam has to feed. Get there first. Trying to get out towards his brother Max who wins the puck now. Gets it to Arum once again. Pass looking for Max also. There was Parkinson who fans on his shot. And eventually Trip Paige the Sharks clear the zone and we could all have a mini breather as Adam Master Fee with the puck looking where so Max F looking where Adam was now Adam Master Fee with the Puck but that was offside as I think Matching the one who offered the pass may have been one of the offending players. Yeah, a little bit offside there and uh there was a shot but it wasn’t far after the whistle. So uh you know in hockey terms once there was an offside and you shoot the puck at the goalie it’s a bit of trouble not received well generally but at the same time he didn’t have much reaction time but look at the puck movement on the outside. So Hudelaris has it from the face of gets it out towards Kruv. Sends that one in the corner and Hudelis will get to the puck first for the jet. Now Blundle Thompson Poke check there by Clink. Shot there by Kennedy and Otter makes the save. [Music] Link unable to trap the puck and it’s going to be Thompson who skates it out now for the the Sharks but he’s attempted pass was blocked by Krulev Huda with a rip wide pass looking there towards Kennedy he wins the puck gets it out looking for Martindale the Martale pass out towards Clint gets a shot away and the save there by hotter and now Thompson the Thompson pass by Fraser and that shot was wide so they are still bogged on one shot after nearly 21 minutes of continuous hockey. Cavalero battling the puck with their Kanto. Roberts there in support but Kanto gets the puck for the Jets to Croft looking for Barrett being picked off by Thompson. Barrett gets it out towards Croft looking for Kanto. Couldn’t get the the tip that he was hoping for and Crucial. sends that in the corner out towards Croft looking for Barrett. Babuto stripped of the puck. Barrett Kanto top of the crease and the Sharks are able to clear. [Applause] So Croft [Applause] shot there by Kanto. Another rebound shot. He scores. And that was a pretty horrible defense there by the Jets letting their goal turner down. Yeah, the Sharks there just caught on a bad line change. I know their players were gassed. You just don’t want to give up. Uh I mean giving up easy shots is one thing, but when the Jets are on like theirs, the puck movement, they’re being relentless. They’re just really getting piling those shots on. 22 shots now. And so the Jets have seven goals from seven different goal scorers. Well, that’s a good thing to see on the score sheet if you’re a coach track going into the final. Yeah, sharing is caring apparently is the motto today for the um the Jets. So Brown plays the park. Let’s turn it over. Heath just fires it up and it’s going to be gloved there by Brown as uh Paige and Match Paige is just um trying to throw his weight around and I don’t think Match’s really caring too much one way or the other. Yeah, P’s doing the right thing there. Just letting them know, hey, I’m here. I’m in your kitchen. And once again, that’s not credited in the shot. So, they’re still stuck on the little bit of a worry with Brown coming out to try to get that assist. So Max has the fever with the puck. Fresh pass looking there for Armas Fever. That’s it. The back netting will have a face off. Yeah. And Jess will get another another face off in their offensive zone. But yeah, noticing Brown really wants to get himself on the short score sheet there and it nearly cost him. Dare I say I think he just wants to get himself in the game cuz at the moment he’s not getting shots. Yeah, exactly. Exactly. And if he’s one of those goalies that likes feeling um feeling the park, getting a bit of He might feel it here. Here’s a chance now. And that shot does come in from Scott. And surely they got to credit that one as a shot. Yeah. He’s looking at the score box like, “Put me put me down for one, will you?” And they’re still not. He’s like, “Hey, come on. Put me put me on the on the sheet for that shot. Come on.” He’s still looking. Come on. Yeah. He’s even pointing at the scoreboard. It’s like my save percentage man, my season save percentage. So battle along the boards still 22 shots to one officially as Clink gets it out towards Kennedy. Sends that one into the corner making it a foot race and Clink will win out. Try to get out towards Martindale. Link again looking for Kennedy. Kennedy will get it to Crusalev trying to get back out towards Kennedy. Good work on that occasion there by Scott, but Crusalev gets the puck. Ring wide pass out towards Costa Huda. Hudelaka try to cut in the middle lane will get the puck back. Will Hudelas Burns or Scott out towards Kennedy [Applause] kept in by Martale just tries to get it out towards Clink. Crucial fires shoots that was blocked by Heath on the way through the Crucial backhand attempt. to Martindale. Get out wide to Cruv at the point. Shot was wide. Hudelis pinching in. Pass back out towards Cruv. That was blocked by Scott. That was a good block too. Pass out looking for Paige who’s tripped up. No call. and Martindale as Crucial Lev will skate onto that one as Thompson lined him up and come off second best as he flew into the boards head first to Cruv gets it out to a two. Luckily Thompson looks like he’s okay. So Barrett Croft fires, shoots with the save. Croft again with another attempt. [Applause] Shot comes in there by Max as that was wide. That’s Kanto will pass back and towards Hakas to Maxv [Applause] and the Sharks aren’t able to clear. So Croft with the puck. Barrett back to Croft to Massiev there. Croft fires, shoots, may been blocked on the way through, but it was high to Barrett. Kanto Barrett again looking for Kanto. [Applause] So Thompson delays looking in his options. There wasn’t any. Max Asi with a stretch pass. Head towards Adam Feev. He’ll try to put on the afterburners. A fe driving towards it. Draws the penalty. Yeah, did enough. Kept the feet moving. Stayed strong on the puck and he’ll draw a penalty for that. And uh yeah, relentless for Jets are really pushing forward. And halfway through this game, there’s a 23 shot differential. Yeah. And still the sharks credited with one shot as Luka Cabierro makes his way to the penalty box. Yeah, he’ll set for 2 minutes or less. And the face off is going to be won by the Jets. Arasia have just um mistimed the pass and eventually gets it out towards his brother Max who has to retreat and Jets have to get themselves back on side. Armas with the puck now. So as the fee of gets it in the corner master once again to Shaw has to go back gets the puck will get it back to Adam fe once again. So Shaw Max has the FV to Shaw. They’ll pass there and that was from missed everyone. Paige trying to get there first. Does for the Sharks. bumped up the puck by Dan Matchin and Massac the FV [Applause] pass being picked off by Paige. Paige able to play that one off the boards. He should get there first but left the pack behind Max to Martindale finds Parkinson. So Parkinson will drop past Armaster Fee didn’t read it initially. We’ll send it back in the corner out towards Parkinson back to Armaster Feev to Max Winds up shoots. Saved by was a good save too. Matching gets it from Maxv. Pass D. Master Fee top shelf goal scores on the power play. It’s 8v becomes the first model goal scorer for the Jets tonight. Yeah, that was a fantastic practice there for the Jets to come in with a power play for their finals efforts and uh they made no mistake. Well, they made one mistake which cleared the zone, but then they came back in another wave and really made sure they put that one home. But a great save by the Sharks goalie in between there too. So, the Sharks will win the face off. back gets into the corner. Good work there by Fraser for the Sharks, but had little support and the Jets clear out once again. Cavalero sends that one into the corner and that should be an icing call and is Yeah, it looked like Brown nearly came out of his crease and came back real quick to not. So, that’ll be icing. And uh another offensive zone face off for the Jets. They’re really dominating this one with 6 minutes to go. And uh let’s see if the sharks can get it out of the zone or whether the pressure will keep going. So from the face of Cabera looking to clear the zone hasn’t been able to. It was kept in by Crucial Kennedy protecting the puck. Trotted pass to the slot as Clink there in support will pass back out towards Crucial. Back out towards Clink. He’s tied up by Fraser. Sharks looking to clear the zone, but a good poke check there by Crucial. eventually does come out for the Sharks as Blundle has the puck. Wide pass over skated there by Fraser and Quinn goes out wide tried to sit in the corner picks up the rebound from the block to Zuda and hotter makes the save. Yeah, he did enough there. It’s been a tough game. He’s been standing on his head for the most part, right? 27 shots he’s had already. Five minutes to go in the second period, the long change period, and uh Sharks really struggling to get out of the zone. Let’s hope they can step it up a notch and make a challenge here. So Jets win the face of Kando Fire shoots, but that was wide. Now Scott looking to clear the zone in Paige will get under the park. He’ll send that one deep, make it a foot race. Larkas will get there first for the Jets. And it’s been projected away there by Heath. Backhand attempt by Paige. Blocked by Cruv [Applause] [Music] [Applause] Barrett walks in, passes a good one out towards Croft who scores. Beautiful setup, but again Hot was just thrown under the bus by his defense. Yeah, left out the dry there. threeon one and then a beautiful back door pass. No mistakes made there by the Jets as a textbook, right? Yeah, it was a beautiful play, but drew hotter out. Maybe hotter committed a little bit too early, but again, you’ve got one defenseman, the goalie. Yeah, it’s not easy, but I would like to see the defenseman take the back door pass away rather than worrying about what’s still coming into the zone. Is that one of those where you you cut off the passing lane and back your goalie to your goalie to take the shot? Yeah, exactly right. And it looks like we got Paige going to the box here for a tripping call with 3 minutes and 26 seconds left on the clock for 2 minutes or less. See there on replay and yeah, big trip there. [Music] just uh another power play that the Jets can work on for the for the finals. So Aras getting it out towards his brother Max. Back to Artum. Now find Shaw. Sh along the wing gets it back towards Adam. Back towards Max wasn’t set perfectly fire. shoot shot was wide and now Shaw can match again towards Parkinson passing to the slop has been picked off by Louis Heath clear for the Sharks and Max Estie gets out towards Adam and finds a lover Parkinson little drop pass to Shaw is a good one as to fe slightly on the wrong side of him but Shaw had time to recover and just picked up the reband off master escaped master fe to match and at the moment the jets power play is just playing games. So Max has to fe Adam fire shoots save was made and the sharks are able to clear So pass finds Kennedy. Got that from Shaw. A master fee of he’ll take the blue line and forced out wide. Cuts in. Gets a pass out towards Martindale. Now Max has to fear fires. Shoots. Save made. Rebound on offer. Jets get the puck back once again. I mean, they’re doing what they can, but I got to say the puck movement from the Jets just relentless. They’re they’re really finding the space. They’re they’re finding the time. They’re they’re finding the tape with all their passes and uh the goalie and for the Sharks has been doing really well. He’s standing on his head at 30 shots. So 9 is the score as um the Jets will also start the period on the power play, but um yeah, the in terms of an anomaly. So the type keepers are then struggling to keep up with the amount of goals the Jets are scoring but I don’t know the shot count as we’ll probably bring up some of the stats and I think the some of the stats will tell it all really. It was 9 in favor of the Jets but the shot count. Yeah, that’s the scary one. 30 shots to one at the end of two periods and a goal waved off too from the whistle there at the end. Yeah, at the end. Yeah. So, uh, 18 minutes on the clock left in this game. Be an interesting one. As you said, it might get chippier. Seems to be bad. Well, we know, um, Jeffrey Thompson’s more than interested if anyone is willing. But, um, if you’re the Sharks, let’s be honest, you, sorry, the Jets, you got bigger fish to fry in the coming weeks. But at what point do you say you’re not getting much benefit out of this and that? Yeah. You’re working your systems, but your systems aren’t being challenged. Yeah. Well, that’s just it. But they haven’t lowered themselves down to the No. No. And that that’s that’s a positive thing. As much as um it’s very lopsided the scores. Uh as we sort of discussed this game, sometimes top sides when they’re playing bottom side is can lower themselves or let themselves be lowered down to the opposition stand and the Jets haven’t let that happen. The shot by Adam and made a good save. Potter despite the amount of goals he’s conceded actually has been really he’s been let down by everyone else in front of him. Yeah, as we say to all goalies, it goes past five players before it goes past you. So, you can’t eat yourself up too much when this when it goes to a blowout. But the saves that he’s making have been really good. He’s been really strong on it. And um I’m impressed with his style. He’s actually a really good goal. He’s going to go for it.” Well, also you got to remember in the last 10 minutes of a hockey game, if you do get that wrong call, then you can be getting a game, right? So, you would have just ticked under that. So it’s the uh Sharks on the power play as Matchin sits for two minutes. And uh I like the way that the Shar’s goalie covered up, took it in the bread basket, but also raised his stick just to protect himself with the Jazz player coming in. And this game is getting a little bit testy. And this the only only thing the Jets can do now to hurt themselves is to let themselves get suckered into it. Exactly. You can do whatever you want. I don’t care. And we’ve got a bit of a discussion going between the refs here and um be interesting to see what comes out of this. Yeah, that was a relentless beautiful beautiful release. just put it right in the top corner. And um hey, penalties wiped out there or one of them anyway. So I am thinking that’s a two out of 10 because one penalty didn’t go up on the clock. So that will just be told to the scorers when you get out. But that’s not even 10 minutes left. So that will be uh yeah for the game. They had 12 nil and in defense of hotter there and even the Sharks that shot was just so good. That was um nothing really wrong that they did on that occasion. [Applause] Kanto Croft still has the puck there for the Jets to Barrett just couldn’t quite trap it and eventually he’s going to be cleared by Scott but Clint gets it out towards Kanto. But Max has to fear tried to get back to his Croft but was intercepted by Paige. Shot attempt comes in and that’s from Huth and that’s got to count. It counts. So their first shot for two periods. Normally I don’t wait that much anticipation for a shot. [Applause] So matching gets there towards Artemaster Fear with less than 90 seconds remaining in this game. So Martinale just sends that one into the corner and has drawn the penalty. Yeah, Jet’s goal. He won’t make it to the bench, but uh we got halfway one minute to go. There’s not going to be any uh stoppages or stoppage time due to the going to let this looks like it was a 4minute miner coming out. That’s up for Barbudo as he’s actually on ice now. But he gets once again on the face of Adam walked in fire shoots and will love that one. 40 seconds. Probably just hoping it takes as long as possible. Yeah, Sharks getting the line change. So the end of a dominating performance by the Jets and a dominating season. They finished from their 15 games with 14 wins and a tie. The Sharks couldn’t manage to get a win all season with only the two ties come out of this one. And um that was a tough night for the Sharks, especially Miley Hotter. Um yeah, he’s given away 12, but we got to give some credit to him. I don’t think Hotter was the problem tonight. I don’t think so either. I think he was standing on his head for the most part. He was getting peppered and he ultimately did what he could with not much support. So it could have been worse if he wasn’t on his game today. But yeah, 100 actually I would say thousand% correct when you say that as well. So we got to give some credit. So Kieran Brown gets the easiest shut off shut off he’ll ever get with only two shots against you. Yeah. Although we reckon he had a couple more to be honest. But um I think he wanted to get on the score sheet for for an assist. He wanted the apple. But that said, you you you got to take them when you get them. It’s um a bit like you know cricket when you get a fifer and through delivering pies. You take it because you know you have some really great days and you’ll get nothing. So yeah, but as you said again like that’s a big confidence boost for the Jets going into the finals and um you you really want to know how they’re going to respond to that for their next game. So, is that going to be, you know, are they going to be overconfident coming out of this or are they going to be just right, you know, is was it just a good warm up or Yeah, the only concern is that maybe came a little bit too easy. But look at some of the other results from tonight’s games. The uh the a night of shut out should be said as the Blackhawks uh shut out the Demons in a 5-nil win and the Monise came from behind to defeat the Bison 5 goals three. This one 12nil was the result. Go quickly go through the goal goal scorers. Three goals to Croft got the hatrick. Two to Arnamas singles to Costa Rus crucial Oliver Park Daniel Shaw Lou Martinale Yuko and David Barrett. Absolutely. Full of uh different names on the score sheet which was good to see as a coach. Absolutely.
