Angels Fan Shares Baseballs at the Ballpark ⚾️🥹
[Music] I’m Matthew Lanzone. I’ve been an Angel fan since I was born. I’ve been doing this since 2014, so 11 years. My dad and I were following the Angels on a little away series. And I kept seeing this kid running up and down the stairs, not getting a ball. And I was getting ball. I got two balls that game. As we were leaving the game, the game ended and I stopped my dad. I said, “Hey, one second. I got to do something real quick.” So, I run down back to the seats and I see the kid crying, balling his eyes out. And I asked the kid if he wanted the ball and I just gave him the ball and his face and smile. I’ll never forget it. It just lit up and his whole day was turned around after that. Mike actually saw the baseball. He was very excited about it. He actually had the whole team sign the baseball you’re going to be giving out today. Wow. That’s awesome. I mean, all of them are impactful. There’s one that really stands out to me. We were sitting down and I saw this father and son just hanging out enjoying the game and I went down to the dad and son and said, “I have this ball. I want to give it to you.” Kid started jumping up and down and the dad uh pulled me aside and said, “Thank you so much for this. We’re actually from Hawaii and this is going to be remembered forever. I hope he looked at that ball and remembers that day as much as I remember that day myself.” [Music] You just want that one memory that you always remember. And to me, it was always getting a baseball, a foul ball or a signature from a player. I’m not a player. I can’t give signatures, but I figured if I can give a kid a baseball and change his whole day and his whole outlook, it’s kind of something that we can look at every day and smile about.

That's why I am an Angel fan. Sure, our fanbase can use a little more engergy, but I'd better than having to wear a bullet proof vest at Dodger games.
