New York Yankees vs Baltimore Orioles | Game Highlights (9/27/25)

Cam Slitler is warming up, ready to start the penultimate game of the regular season for the New York Yankees. The Yankees have won six in a row. Looking to keep pace with the Blue Jays, who will play a little bit later this afternoon. Paulie, can you spell penultimate or you know what did he say over there? He just lost me in the first when I started the game and he lost me. I was going to ask myself. I’m glad that you brought that up. Grounded to second one away. And that one tipped into the glove of Rice. A strike out of Westber popped up way up there. Goldid makes the play for the final. And here’s that man Aaron Judge. 52 home runs, 111 runs batted in. And for the batting title race, he leads 330 to Jacob Wilson’s 313. So you got to like his chances. Highfly ball left field. Beaver’s back on the track at the wall. See youa. He’s done it again. His 53rd home run. The Yankees 49th first inning home run and a one- nothing Yankee lead. [Applause] Well, some things just they just don’t end, Tony. And you know, when you’re as good as Aaron Judge, you don’t have to do anything special. Yesterday, Anthony Goldie hit a ball and I said, you know, he didn’t quite get it and it doesn’t go out. Aaron Judge didn’t quite get that, but it still goes out. That’s the difference. I mean, he is on some kind of tear right now. There’s a strike out. Jackson down swinging. Two strikeouts for Slitler. Left field. Ballinger. Nice easy one, two, three inning for Cam Slitler. Here’s Jean Carlos Stanton. Highfly ball deep right center. Cows are back. Turning looking into the bleachers the other way. He’s putting on a show. Yankees lead two nothing. Wow. Can the playoffs start tomorrow? Cuz judge and Stanton are carrying lumber. I mean, this is 427 ft the other way into the bleachers. Wow. 3-2 swing and a miss. Beavers down on strikes. No runs a hit, no errors, and one man left on base. Four strong for Slitler so far. And the Yankees lead three nothing. And Jackson gets hit. Swing and a miss. Placio down on strikes for the second time. Oh, another hit batter as Mayo gets plunked. Broken back. Ground ball of Jazz Chisum. And that’ll do it as he works into and out of trouble. Line drive. It’s a base hit to right field. Oh, would the Yankees like to see McMahon get hot as he leads off the fifth with a single. He’s two for two. Bad breaking ball upstairs. So Rice walks and the bases are loaded for Judge. [Applause] ties him up with the pitch inside. Fast ball. Another pitch inside called the strike. One and two. This is a frustrating advantage. These two balls called inside, both not on the plate. That’s not a ball that you want to adjust to because then you leave the outside part of the plate. And I think Aaron Boon has seen the replays on both of those pitches. He must have thrown him out already because you are not allowed to argue balls and strikes. Yeah, he did. You know, these are important games and this is an important at bat and if you’re Ramon De Jesus, you got to realize it’s, you know, you just missed two pitches. You know, we should throw you out. And there’s a base hit up the middle. McMahon scores. Here comes Gisham. He’ll score the throw to third. Races in there. Judge moves to second on the throw and the Yankees lead 5 nothing. That’s a huge bat by Aaron Judge. You know, you have two pitches taken away from you and you still have enough confidence and enough just to to block it out. Come up with a huge hit. Trying to break this game over. Infield in. And Bellinger lost one to center. Tagging is Rice. Catch is made by Cowser. The throw goes to third. Rice scores. Sack by for Bellinger and the Yankees lead 6 nothing. Just good baseball there. Get it done early. You don’t want to fall behind with a big lefty. He’s got a good curve ball that could possibly strike you out. First and second, two outs. And that one hits Chisel. If you look at Wolram, I mean, he’s been inside to lefties with the fast ball and can’t throw a strike with the curveball away. This looked like it got the underneath the elbow to seem just kind of going in and it looked like it just hit underneath the elbow or just above the elbow, which there’s a little meat there. That’s a good thing. Obviously, it’s painful, but the last thing you want to see is the wrist. Well, he is in the dugout and now Cabayro will come out. So, the Yankees have to hold their breath. Chism so important to what they do. You get the feeling that Aaron Boon feels real comfortable when Cam Schlitler’s on the mound. Well, I mean, just overpowering stuff. High 90s fast ball and he strikes out Henderson on a cutter. Throwing that cutter a little bit more early in the game. It was fast ball curve ball. You know, if we were going to have games, it rained all day. Then there would be a little window. And Beaver strikes out. Eight strikeouts for Slitner over six. when he first starts his drop step to look down to make sure his rhythm is in time. Watch his head go down. Let me check it. Back up. Pick up the target. Go. He does that every time. Another strike out. Little cutter there. Up and away. Highfly ball left field. Bellinger puts it away. And that’ll do it. Seven strong for Cam Slitler. That is a big boy performance for the rookie. allows two hits, no runs over seven innings. Highf fly ball left field and deep. Going back Bellinger, he’s on the track. He’s at the wall. See youa. The Orioles are on the board. A home run by Mayo is 11. Now the Yankees a strike away from winning their seventh straight game. And then the pressure shifts north to Toronto as they have to answer with a win of their own. And the pitch, strike three, ball game over. Yankees have won seven straight. They use the home run again today and they continue to put heat on the Blue Jays as they try to win the American League East and for the moment they are half game ahead of the Blue Jays who are in the second inning right now in Toronto against the Tampa Bay Rays. Well, the big bats have shown up. Big G and Aaron Judge have put a show on during the first couple games. And no matter what happens in Toronto, tomorrow is still going to be extremely important to see how this season’s going to end. Power hitting and power pitching from Cam Schlitler. So yeah, good combination. Banging out of the stadium on the offensive side, throw 100 on on the pitching side. That worked today. Oh, [Music] concrete jungle with dreams are fade out. There’s nothing you [Music]

  1. The Rays are useless. We gave them a stadium, they can’t give us 1 win? They’re prob glad to help the Jays & make sure the Yankees don’t get the Division..

  2. This home plate umpire sucked today. Just as bad as half the poorly qualified umpires in the league. This is the one thing I hate about baseball. We need to go to full robo umpires.
