It’s a Saturday night preseason showdown between the Flames and the Jets and it’s coming up next. Bit of a malfunction at the junction there involving Rory Karens and racing it up the right wing side. Here comes Der. Der gets buried by Kousnets as the Jets shoot and score. [Music] Also in there on the for check as Nikita Chibraov knocked back to allow point to Samberg that drops it and now Jagger will center it. Chibberov shoots and scores. Heading into the regular season here. Back to the right point held in by Perk quarterbacking this Flames power play. He slides it across to Karens and he’ll drop it off and now Frost over to Perk with a shot. Bouncing puck. They score. [Applause] Zayn Perk took the shot. Adam Kla was parked in front and might have tipped the puck. He ends up giving it away to Anderson Dolan who leaves it left wing side for Moresy who banks it off the boards ahead to Anderson Dolan who centers and Ford scores. Bounces back to ball and he tries to thread the needle to cars. It bounces away from him but Kloka picks it up. We’ve got a threeon-one. Karens to Clapka who shoots and Comry makes a good glove save. IQ getting this Jets power play set up. Drops to Pian who shoots and scores. [Music] Crosses the red line and slides a right wing side to Hanzac who gives it back to Karens who centers it. That puck got redirected by Parak who snuck in and stopped by Comry. Now Karens jamming away in front. can’t knock it into the Jets net. I think it’s safe to say that this line with Karen’s Hanzac and Klka has had as many scoring chances as any Flames line tonight. Now Coronado gets a return pass and shoots it in behind the Jets net. Comry out to get it. Gives it away. It’s loose in the blue paint and Frost flings one just wide. Comry got lucky there. Here’s Gridden when the puck goes the other way. Flames clear the puck out. Clap over skates it. Karens picks it up and shoots and rips it right off the top of the crossbar. Flames starting to grade some chances here in the third with the Jets out in front. Four to one. Here’s Frost back to the blue line. Bahala a drive. Fought off. Rebound and Grin scores. Matt V. Gridden picks up the rebound and buries it. And the Flames have cut the Jets lead to four-2. Jets win an offensive zone dry. There’s Morrisy near side. Pianc, a one-time stopped by Kulie. And now Chibov, who’s got two points tonight, does some twisting and turning and drops to Morrisy. Slides it near circle to Pon. Pian shoots and he hits the iron without one. Had Kulie beat high on the blocker side. Rang it right off the goal post. Loose puck in front. Hanzac a backhand and he misses the Jets net. Back to the right point. to Pereck. Perk stick handles to get away from Nyquist and now protects the puck from Taves. Perk stops, takes a hit and moves it down low. Karens a backhand and he just misses Conry’s net. Look how much attention Zayn Perk got there. Mhm. Really open things up for Rory Karens who almost made it a one-goal game and then gives it away to Tames and then trips Tames and Martin Pospasil will take his third penalty of the hockey game as time expires here at Canada Life Center in Winnipeg where the Jets defeat the Flames 4 to2.
