And Jeff Blashill is fired up to try to get his first win like you said. And there’s the goalie we want to keep an eye on tonight. Spencer Knight. 58 and two. Spencer Knight as he plays in his first preseason game in Chicago colors. Puck back to the line. It got past Paro. And now a race for it. Chasing after it is Moore. He tries to get there. Does got a shot away. Bennington’s able to make the save. Moore. And we know about his speed. There’s that loose puck and you can see him fly by Parano there. Finds a way to get to the puck first. A quick little shot. shooting for a rebound there. You can see his speed. He’s got that first step. All of a sudden, he explodes on him. Got into the playoffs on a tiebreaker. They edged out Calgary and nearly beat Winnipeg, the president’s trophy winner in the first round. They were two seconds away from winning game seven in that series. There’s a chance and a shot turned aside. Great look there for Green and a nice save by Bennington as the Hawks come close open in the scoring in the offensive zone to see how tight the DR there caused that quick turnover. And there’s Green with a good wrist. Knocked ahead for Laperty, but he swatted at it. Missed. Blues get the puck. Played back to the point. Laperty pressuring trying to jab it through the neutral zone. Got it to the line. Fowler there for St. Louis. Makes a pass to the blue line. Now it’s chipped across to D’vorski. Carries in by himself and scores. A shot from just inside the zone. Posted in and it’s one- nothing Blues. gained the blue line and ripped one through a screen. See the quick transition by St. Louis. Long play up the ice. Dorski gains the line. Just sneaks one through the defender’s leg. Long cross ice pass. Dorski rips one posted in. Net front in the offensive zone. He wants the guys to be in front no matter what your size is or what your position. offensive zone, get in front of the other goal. Worked in around a wrap around attempt. Knight able to shut that down. Hawks on the rebound and it’s controlled by Riel. There’s a wrist that hit traffic in front. Pounced off the skate of Walker. He’ll play it back down low. Picked up behind the net. And a paddle down save by Knight is walking in front with Matt L. More. Mishak setting up the one-time for Hayes, but he fanned on it. Loose puck is scooped up and away goes Joseph. Shorthanded. Got a shot away and Knight’s able to make the save. One shot of the man advantage. Bennington again stick handling able to make a play to Butch Navage. Chips it over to Dalaborski. The goal scorer in this game. Pereos up on the rocks with a shot and a stop by Knight. Figure it all out. We got a little skirmish off the start here. Laperty Matt L having words to his partner Delastro. Murphy one more time. Fank pass. MV down the wing trying to get around Pareo. pushed off the puck though. Fowler Pereco’s partner feeds it ahead. Matthew Joseph gains the line. Feeds it over. Pare played it across. They score. Shen with the finish on the setup by Neighbors and Braden Shen makes it two nothing Blues. [Music] See this long play up the ice and you see on the entry guys drive to the net and back door is Shen for the tap in. Nothing Spencer Knight can do on that one. You see Paro, who had a heck of a year as defenseman. He’s all the way up in the play. Makes the play. Goes to the net. Is almost there to tap it in, but Shen sneaks behind him. And bumped down low by Sherman. Hayes stays in the battle. Knocked towards the goal. Backhander on goal. Pennington down. Able to make the save. And then there it is. Just a s simple little chip by Hayes. Get in on the for check. Isak comes in. Loose puck. Gets a whack at it. Nickard is back for Chicago under some pressure. Stolen. Dangerous. Robert Thomas with a play in front and it’s fought off by Knight. It bounced off the Hawks defender. Knight’s able to make the save. For the Blues. Spencer Knight with a stop and it keeps it. Two. [Music] former third round pick of the boys from Beantown. There’s a wristster by Fowler. Blocker it away by Knight. Oh, big save by Knight. And another stop with the glove this time as he robs Puchavic twice. The first one was incredible. Passes that Jeff Bles will not like that. the then when you go through your crease to somebody back door and you have to rely on your goalender for a great save like this and Spencer was dialed in. He was low to the net. Saw the puck coming across and obviously a great push to get that left pad on it. Colton Dock off the bench into the play gets it behind the net to Mishak. Got it in front. Bennington down able to make the stop and he hangs on there shooting for a rebound and then there’s a good play by Doc as Missak sees him. A little give and go hard to the net. L gets the loose puck. Picking some time. Pops right back up. Blues break in. Pass to Walker. Had a bit of a lane, but it was off the mark. Back in front and that’s off the goalie and off the post on that opportunity for Sunquist. Knight got a piece of it. Then a rattle off the outside of the goal post. Most on the team. Long feed. Shan works in. Takes a look. Stop by Knight. Got the glove on that. Fought off that shot by Braden Shannon. Covers the rebound for a face off. Knight stands tall. doesn’t give the short side of the net. Holds his position, makes the save and doubles back on the left side with that pass. Fed to the side of the goal to McKay. Ox move the puck with confidence on the man. Tipped in front and Bington makes a save off rifle. Puck still loose. Comes free. Lordis swats at it, but the Blues able to muscle it away and it’s cleared down the ice by Braden Shad. Michael there finding that little soft spot in there as the pass goes down the goal line. Reichel finds it gets a good whack. The Grizzling fed across tipped in front. Reichel over to Lars with a shot. Pinled off a stick wide. Played back to Reichel. Great movement by the Hawks. Reichel one-time blocked in front and the loose puck scooped up and cleared by Fowler with a half minute to go in the period. But really good movement by the Blackhawks and both of these uh sequences started off of faceoff wins by Green. So they still sit serving their five as Mayu makes his way across and we’re set for the third in St. Louis. Another faceoff win for Green. Blows back in. Pass broken up. Long feed. Short-handed opportunity for Laferty. takes a peek over his shoulder and a stop by Cranley. Is able to stand tall and keep it out of the net. Played across. Mayu gains the line trying to dangle through. Pushed off the puck, but following up is Snutaroo cuts in front and the puck slide free. [Applause] That was a nice tip in for his first goal in that league. Here’s a chance for a goal for the Blues. And a good save there by Knight on that rush by Butch Navage. Delmastro fires it over. Murphy Rich Shaw wide bounce off the end boards Laferty cuts behind makes a pass Tony Nado feeds it back gets it back scores in off of skate one off Mayu and Tony Nado makes it a one-goal game with 902 to go in the third and what’s been very obvious as this game has progressed the Blackhawks are gaining more confidence on winning races to puck gotten some good scoring chances and they’re finally able to get a little bit of a lucky bounce here off a defenseman’s skate Nonetheless, it uh is well earned. You can see Murphy makes the play down. You see the net front presence as Nikay is holding the net front. We got a two to one hockey game. And Tonado decides to throw it at the net. And here’s another chance and they score. This time Tony Nado set it up and it was fired in by Gavin Hayes. Two quick ones and the Hawks have tied this up at two. All right, he got in on the for check quite a bit. This comes off of faceoff win and Jeff Blash is going to like this. Gain center ice, get the puck in deep. That’s not Bennington in net. You can see the other goalender doesn’t handle the puck nearly as well as Bennington does. And Blackhawks are able to jump on that loose puck. Aid Hayes goes to the net. Donado with a goal assist in a very short period of time here. And the Blackhawks have tied this game up 27. Blues had a wide edge in play in the first period, but since you know 10 minutes into the second, Tony, it’s been the Hawks really turning up the heat. That shot by Thomas, glove by Knight. Blue’s on it though. Perco one more time. Rest deflected and Pat saved by Spencer Knight here. St. Louis loses focus and thinks they’re all going to come after Dak. There’s the little play up the wall. Moore keeps going. Nobody blows the whistle. Makes a good shot. So Allen up the boards. Thomas cuts it off. Shen on the puck. Plays it back. Here’s Fowler with a pass. Chance now. Joseph shut down by Knight. Big save there by Spencer Knight. Dickinson out against Robert Thomas on the draw. Scramble. McKay gets the puck, knocks it free to Murphy. He’ll try the other side off the glass, but over there to pick it up is Snugaroo. Picked off with the empty net at the other end. It’s into the net from Dickinson all the way down the ice and that’ll seal it with 3 seconds to go. The Hawks roar back with a big third period and Jason Dickinson’s empty net makes it 42 Hawks physicality. That’s not something that the Blackhawks are known for with all these young players and to have Colton Doc step up and make that big hit on the really good experienced lineup with lots of the St. Louis Blues key players in the lab. So the Hawks get four in the third. This one ends fourth two

Watch highlights from the second preseason game as Chicago rallied from a 2-0 deficit in the third period, scoring four unanswered goals from Dominic Toninato, Gavin Hayes, Oliver Moore and Jason Dickinson to seal a 4-2 win over St. Louis
