Despite several chances with runners on base, the Brewers couldn’t deliver the timely hit when it mattered most. But even with the loss, Milwaukee still locked up the No. 1 overall seed in the postseason thanks to a Phillies defeat — securing home-field advantage throughout October.

  2. #1 SEED DONT MEAN JACK IF YOU CANT GET PAST 1ST ROUND BYE GAME. THE PERFORMANCE THEY HAVE SHOWN IN SEPTEMBER IS UTTER GARBAGE. THEY DEFINITELY DIDNT EARN THAT #1 SPOT AND FRANKLY, THEY DIDNT DESERVE TO BE DIV. CHAMPS. EVERYTHING THEY ACHIEVED CAME OFF OF OTHER TEAMS LOSING. I DONT KNOW IF I CAN WATCH THIS TRAINWRECK INTO THE POST SEASON. TO GO FROM JULY/AUGUST GAMES TO SEPT. GAMES DOES NOT GIVE ME FAITH IN THIS TEAM. THEY ARE MOSTLY LOSING AND THE ONLY REASON FOR THESE ACCOLADES ARE COMING FROM JULY/AUGUST GAMES. NOT THE SAME TEAM ANYMORE.

  4. They will lose in the playoffs and then pop champagne. All they do is celebrate after they lose. Not at all ready for playoffs baseball. The pitching is a hot mess and they can't put up runs. Will unfortunately be a short playoff run.

  9. I'm going to write this date down for my comment. The Brewers are going to destroy everyone in the playoffs and win the series. This is 5-D chess. Brewers are winning, or at least getting to, the world series

  16. Brandon, you're probably right that "70 to 80%" of the fan base needed to be mollycoddled on the successful play of the Brewers. However, some of us didn't need the speech. This is the BEST team in baseball. The only debate is WHO will the Brewers beat in the world series.
