  1. Hot take because I still do love Al, but leaving us twice does annoy me. I get why, but feel like staying and retiring with us would have cemented him as one of my favorites all time.

  2. Lol i would understand if he wanted to go to a team with a real shot to win the title. But the Warriors have basically zero chance of winning a title. Should have just stayed with us if that were the case lol.

  3. As if I couldn’t be less excited for this season…this isn’t the sport I grew up with man. Win a chip then watch your team instantly dissolve. Just sad.

  4. Didn’t think he should’ve gotten his number retired anyways but leaving twice kinda confirms he doesn’t deserve that I’m sorry

  5. We all saw it coming. Beyond grateful for the time and wish him all the best. But I am in pain…

  6. Multi-year is heartbreaking. Hope it’s a player option lol.

Love you Al. Hope Jimmy and Draymond are traded midseason, then I’m okay with Horford and Steph winning another ring

  7. Leaving us twice in my opinion kinda ends all chance of a jersey retirement. And to a team that’s not even a contender smh. Being the starter though is certainly enticing if he really wants to play; hopefully they don’t run him into the ground

Regardless, best of luck to Al. You were amazing for us!

  8. Even knowing it was coming, this is still a somber moment. Gonna miss Al, forever a legend around here. See you when it’s time for retirement, Tio!

  9. He came in won the ring and fucked the 76ers. Tks big guy.

For those saying that: “he could stay and retire. warriors won’t be a contender” lets no forget that the team needed to offload salaries so he couldn’t afford him anyway. Also I wouldn’t bet against Curry and Butler in a playoff series. Maybe if the opponent is OKC. So yeah he have a shot there not a big one but still a shot

  10. Thank you Al. My kids will always remember when their dad yelled “Big Al!!!” And then “BIG AL!!!” when you’d receive a pass for an open three, and then drain it in a key spot. You did that, big man. Thank you.

Also, what a testament to hard work and perfecting one’s craft that he became such a good shooter as his career progressed. Great role model.

  11. I am watching the 2024 Celtics turn into the 2018 Red Sox they won the ship and now everyone’s leaving or it’s getting traded. What the fuck

  12. This really is a whole new team now. Gonna miss these vibes.

I still wish we could have paid Luke if we were gonna make all these cuts anyways.
