I just want to see some moments from EP40, he doesn’t have to lead the pre season in scoring
I just want some moments. I, you know, he doesn’t have to litter the score sheet. If he does, that’s great. It’s preseason, so I’m not going to get too worked up about whether he leads the Conucks in in preseason scoring, but I I want to see the confidence that I saw at times through camp where he would take on guys one-on-one and try to make those moves and beat them. Like, that’s the guy that lit up the National Hockey League and got to 102 points not that long ago. And we saw last year a player that fought confidence all season long. So, you know, I think he’s had a moderately decent camp. He’s been invested. He’s shown some moments. Like a lot of veterans, they sort of eased their way through the first week. And really, I think it’ll be fair to start judging him. You know, they got two games left against the Oilers in the preseason. We don’t know what kind of lineup Edmonton’s going to ice, but hopefully it includes some superstar power on the other side that makes it a little easier to assess what you’re looking at from a connect perspective. So, you know, for me, I I just want to see him flash a few times. He’s playing with Besser and De Brusk. I mean, that is likely to be the top line that opens the season. So, you want to make sure that those guys are up and running and and at near top form by the time October 9th rolls around. We’re still a ways away from

I don't need anything in preseason from anyone on the main roster. Just get warmed up and ready. Pushing it too hard right now before you're in game shape is how you end up with injuries. Get up to speed, feel comfortable with what you're doing and be ready for Game 1. Obviously for fans who are concerned about his play, a breakout game in preseason would be great, but there are a lot of guys end up hurt early on because they're not in game shape yet. Ease into it, get some confidence, and be ready when the games matter. I was a competitive swimmer. Pushing for a big game in preseason is like doing all sprints in warmup at a swim meet and ending up with tendonitis before the actual races start. That's the worst thing you can do. Nobody cares what you look like in warmup. Just get yourself ready to go for when it matters.
Who cares, too many pre season games as is get this sh1t off the ground already
