The Pelicans Make A SNEAKY Good Signing…

The Pelicans make a sneaky good signing that’s going to help ease the transition for one of his young stars into the NBA. We’re going to take a look at this signing and also going to clap back to some of y’all comments on the video that I posted yesterday about Jeremiah Fears inside this edition of Pelican’s Digest. What’s good with it y’all? It’s your people. Mel on the mic. Mel talking about the bells back once again inside Pelicans Digest. And once again, thank y’all so much for subscribing to the channel and liking the channel. Don’t forget, do the same thing. Like, subscribe, share this channel with your friends. Let them know that this is where the best conversation about the Pelicans goes down right here on Pelicans Digest. This Mel was talking about the Bells. And yesterday, I posted a video on the channel uh about uh Jeremiah Fleers and how there’s a growing consensus and talk. Let me get over here. Scoot over a little bit. There’s more of a growing consensus talk among NBA insiders about his potential impact with the Pelicans team in the near future. Uh, a lot of people are saying starting to make comparisons to him and how Chris Paul came in on his uh, rookie season when he was with the Hornets and the Pelicans and made an impact on a veteran roster. And a lot of people feel the same way about his and and you know, I I like hearing that. You know what I’m saying? I really do like hearing that. Um, and uh, today we got some breaking news that involves Jeremiah Pierce and a signing that the Pelicans just made. Uh, so we’re going to get into that in a minute. I’m going to give you the details about that in a minute, but this only further confirms what I’ve been saying and what I said yesterday in the video about the Pelicans are looking to make fears their point guard of the future. I mean, yes, you got Murray, you got P, but again, those guys are still on just two-year contracts. So, you still got time to develop fears into something that could be great. And, you know, we’re going to get in there in a second. But first, I want to clap back to some of y’all comments. I really do appreciate y’all commenting on the page and on the videos and everything that we talked about. Uh, but yesterday, um, shout out to my man to take over 42. Uh, you know, and I don’t find this kind this this negative or nothing, but he asks, “Why are we overhyping Jeremiah? Give him time. He’s not a superstar right now. At best, he’s Terry Rosier. Scary. His style, game, performance, height looked exactly like Terry Rosier. He is nothing like Chris Paul and nobody said, and here’s the thing. Uh, take over my brother. Nobody said he was Chris Ball. At least I didn’t. I didn’t. I I made the comparison. and and not only me uh but Chris Dodson in the article which is what we’re talking about and based this conversation on in his article on clutch points he points out that it’s not about the style of play that makes him similar to Chris Paul is his his ability to be vocal and and not be afraid to talk up and also lead the team when he’s on the floor. That’s something Chris Paul did when he came into New Orleans his rookie season. He was surrounded by a ton of veterans, but yet he commanded their respect immediately when he got into the room into the uh uh roster uh because of his knowledge of the game and and his abilities and and things like that. So, I’m not comparing him to Chris Paul, nor am I saying that he’s the next Chris Paul. I’m not saying that at all. I’m just saying it’s interesting how people are already making that comparison in their in their look at uh uh Jeremiah. But again, if you want more content on that, you can go check out the last video. Uh we’ll talk more about that. Also, in the last video, uh my man Ree Smoke Virgil, he said this, and this is the other thing we going to talk about with Fears. He says Mike Miller said he’ll be an all-star in three years when it comes to Fierce. And I’m and listen again I’m not the only again I’m not the only one who’s saying that that this guy is going to be great or or believe that he’s going to be great with the Bellicans. I think he will be I think I’m not the only one saying this. There’s a lot of people who NBA insiders are also saying this. One thing you got to remember one thing you got to remember about and Queen and their situation. This team is not going to throw him in the fire right away. You got to remember what Joe Dumar said on draft night when he was asked about both ears and queen. He says, “Both of them have potential to grow into great players, but I also wanted to build a team that didn’t put all the pressure on them that they have to come in and prove that they’re great in day one. I want them to be able to develop into great players without trying to force it from day one. It’s why you see the roster built the way we did.” And that’s the thing. And so again, if Joe Dumar is saying, “I’m not putting them in the fire right away. We’re going to develop these guys, then you can’t then there’s no pressure.” Now, there’s always pressure when you’re a first round pick. Okay, let’s be clear here. No matter what team you’re on, you’re always going there’s always going to be pressure and expectations if you’re a first round pick, no matter the sport. So, the comparison again, the the comparison to Chris Paul, I don’t think it was a comparison based on his play. it was more based on his vocal his his his leadership things of that nature that a lot of uh players uh have respect for and again uh pardon me as my policy acts up uh and again they’re not getting thrown into the fire and also like like a lot of people are thinking they think he’s going to be an all-star not this year not next season but in a couple of years down the line and if you have a team that’s that’s developing him during that time frame then who says it can’t happen I think it’s I think that’s great news to hear that they believe that he’s going to be an all-star. A lot of people starting to believe this and you and is proving in what the Pelicans are doing with them that they’re giving them time to develop. Okay. So So that’s where I’m at with that. You know what I’m saying? And that’s also why uh we’re going to another comment. Uh real quick, I wanted to answer this with two shout out to 504 N boy JC. He said, “Hold on, Mel. Did you actually say and thought that EJ EJ Liddell was going to be the boy of the future? No, I was just throwing random names out there, fam. I was just throwing random names out there. And but you know, my point still stands that the Pelicans have consistently whiffed on drafting point guards. They have I mean, we have we I know I just threw EJ Leiddell names out there, but but you know, Kyra Lewis Jr., we had Buddy Healed at a We drafted We got Buddy Healed. What happened with that? Uh, Dyson Daniels, what happened with that? We have consistently, not saying that we haven’t gotten it right. I’m just saying that as far as point guards, I think we finally have a chance to sh to have a point guard of the future that we can build around because these last couple of draft picks as far as when it came to the point guard position have not panned out. I don’t you even want to go into the second round. Some some of the names Jordan Bone ring a bell. Does Jordan Bone ring a bell? That was that’s the actual name of a second round point guard pick that the Pelicas made a few years ago. So with that being said, let’s get into the breaking news that’s going on because again, this once again proves what my theory is that they’re going to make the point guard of the future and they’re going out of their way to make sure that he has everything he needs to feel good to make the transition into the NBA. uh is coming out today that according to Liam Willard with uh Sports Illustrated, the Velicans are signed ex Oklahoma Sooner forward Jaylen Moore to an exhibit 10 deal, bringing in more to compete against his ex- teammate Fierce in training camp. Moore will also get a chance to compete with a potential roster spot or join their G-League affiliate, the Birmingham Squadron, which I I I really don’t see because again, we we already got all those contracts filled up. I I think they could get revoked at any time, which I uh but I think they’re really bringing this guy in to ease the transition into the NBA for fears, which means they are investing in fears, which means they see him, as I have said and what others are starting to say, as the point guard of the future. Jaylen Moore uh is 66. He was a Ford uh played four years at Jo uh with Georgia Tech and Oklahoma. Played his last two seasons with Oklahoma. Uh, a lot of people think that he could be a good G-League player. He has some he has a little upside to him, a good rotational player, but the main thing that he was there for in Oklahoma and one of the things that the Pelicans saw in him was his ability to help out here. If you recall, uh, when Oklahoma was in the SEC tournament last season and they lost a game against Kentucky, here’s missed the last second shot. Moore was there to comfort him and and tell him keep his head up. This is again this kid is 18 years old and Jeremiah hears. This kid is 18 years old. So you’re signing which is essentially his OG which is essentially his OG to help him ease into the transition of what’s coming up in training camp. And also I look at it from a strategic standpoint. I’m looking at it from a strategic standpoint. And this is what I mean. You’re bringing in a guy that’s familiar with this game with here’s his game. Okay, you’re bringing him in. You see, and he’s at the the brine position, which is Ford. You can see how him and Fur work together and use that to implement that into his play with the other Fords as far as Zion and and Herb and Trey and everybody else and and and uh Sadique Bay and everybody else. you could see and use this kid, this Moore kid who knows again knows Fer’s game, knows how he’s going to work on the court. This is the if anything, this is a development signing to see how you can make Fierce’s game fit into the roster and that makes sense, you know, bringing in somebody that’s familiar. Now, you might say, well, the Pelicans could have signed Cam Reddish and and and uh uh you know, uh Zion’s former teammate. The Pelicans are done investing in Zion Williamson. They’ve given them over hund00 million dollars at this point. They’re done investing in him. You’re in five, six now. All you have to do is be on the court. If anything, we’re going to start working on developing these other guys. Because again, what is the whatever I always consistently said was the movement that the Pelicans are on right now. you’re going to try to win now in this season and next with Zion Williamson while simultaneously starting your rebuild behind the scenes with these young rookies. So again, I like this signing. I think it’s a sneaky good signing for this reason. You’re bringing in somebody that you can not only help help this kid ease his transition, his emotional, his spiritual, all that that good train, all that he’s going to need cuz he’s going to have some ups and ups and downs this rookie season. You can bring in somebody that you know can be useful and also you can use as scouting with the issue of scouting to help here to see where he how here works with a forward that he’s familiar with and help and then you can help communicate that amongst your other forwards and and and point guards and all that. So that can all work. I think it’s a smart thing from the sneaky good signing from that perspective. What are your thoughts on it? Clap back with your thoughts in the comments right now. What do you think of the Pelicans newest signing of Jaylen Moore? He’s on an exhibit 10 deal. He’s just coming through with training camp, but I think this is a good signing to help Jeremiah Versus. What are your thoughts? Or do you think we just trying to throw in another body for training camp with your thoughts in the comments, man? I really do appreciate y’all. 1. Oh yeah, it's a very smart move by the Pels. This gives Fears a more familiar face on and off the court and to continue his professional development for his psyche. Fears will be one of the top guards in the NBA in the near future. Mark my words!
