Sam Aldri is on the mound for this season finale. Yeah, I look for him to have that really solid game. He’s one of those ones where you want to finish off the season strong. You had some really good games down in the minor leagues. Degi gets strike through to a good start for Sam one away and mauricio sends one into right field for an 02 base hit Astros have their first runner. It’s Mauricio Dubón victor Caratini hit again. So two on one out for Janer Diaz right handed, hitting catcher there is a base hit into center field. Yer Diaz gets an RB. I Kini goes first to third. Yer picked on the first pitch he saw and gives the Astros a 10 lead. Good for Jer. Good, aggressive baseball picks up an RB. I doing so like a little slider down but with that pitch coming back to him, Janer just drops a barrel on it. Picks up an RB I so the bases will be loaded for ramon arias, the ground ball hit right there and he, he’ll fire over to second and that would be the force out there on Cam smith, the inning is over on the fielder’s choice. Game one. 62 has lance mccullers is on the bump for the Astros to make his 13th start of the season 6.7 ones at, er A wants to finish strong one out. Here’s Trout. Trout finishing strong. Struck him out looking on a fastball and the inning is over just trying to grab the lead here in the second run, grounded out his first time and that is strike three called. That one was high, put his hands on his helmet in frustration as he gets rung up by Malachai with the bases loaded and the side is retired sweaters on 1st and 2nd for Bryce Matthews and the next pitch that’s grounded sharply down to third stop though by R gets up throws and it’s dug out nicely by key boom. That was a good play by and also key boom to dig that out and the Astros are going to leave a couple more runners on base. Lance has two strikeouts today. Adele’s gone down twice today. Lance’s third. It just might be Lances last inning. Colton Gordon still want to go, got him upstairs up and in to Chris Taylor and Taylor who is pitch hitting for Taylor Ward goes down on strikes and that’s a 123 for lance mccullers that RB I single in the first flight out in the third one deep to left field. Does he have enough there? It is Diaz his 19th home run as a catcher ties a franchise record and his 20th on the season. Yer has knocked in both runs today and the Astros lead it 2 to 1. He knew it too. He was put some good swings on al De and finally got a slider he can handle and barreled it up. He looked into the dugout. He knew that was a big number for him. Congrats to Jer. The Astros pen to the side of the Angels pen the longest home run of Bryce Matthews career perhaps and it’s 5 to 1 on the third home run of the inning. Bryce has hit some tanks in his brief time with the Astros who is coming with the Astros against the Arizona Diamondbacks , but not wasting any time here. Absolutely unloading Caratini. It’s his first at bat as a left hand hitter. Caratini had better numbers this year. Lefty versus righty in the air center field to do back. Still going back. He’s near the wall. He’ll watch that one go back to back games with four home runs for the Astros as Carini delivers his 12th of the year and it’s now a 6 to 1 game good for Victor. It’s got to feel good going dead central on a fastball up 417 ft shot for him. Both catchers on this roster having some big swings in this game and Victor leaning into this one, that’s a new career high with his 12th home run for victor Tarantini. There goes with two outs, a little tapper and with Bryce’s speed, no chance, zero chance, zero chance. And now heading to third is like , why not take advantage Moari with some heads up base running. He was off with the pitch and gets to third on that infield hit. He loved that. He was looking in paying attention price chopping that sweeper really no chance for sever John and as soon as he threw it to first base, Ramon took advantage and moved on to third. There goes Matthews and the pitch is a strike and Matthews has a stolen base. That’s his first big league steal after getting 41 bags at AAA Sugarland. This year, Melton’s been on base twice with single and a walk. He stolen base. Today. There’s a swing and a miss and down goes Melton and that will end the inning. They threatened but failed to score. Leave a couple runners on base. Astros are a 61 lead over the Angels bottom of the eighth and Gordon his fifth inning of relief. This one popped up. Victor Caratini shielding his eyes and stays with it in the air to right center Cam smith to his right, puts it away and retired. That’s grounded left side deep in the hole backhanded by the shortstop Dubón on the outfield grass one hop throw is in time to get, oh, nicely done by mauricio Dubón to retire the side back here, bottom of the ninth of game 162. And you’re looking at rookie Jaden Murray on to close this season out for the Astros runners at the corners. GM will be the next batter. Today is zero for three line to center and he gets a run in, brings a home at 6 to 2 shot there by does get that first RB. I look at the Angels in the outfielder. We might still have some magic that’s hit hard and stop by Rus from his knees across the diamond is second base, but everybody’s safe. He had a better shot maybe I know it’s a tough play to throw the first base in that one. What a play that was tying run has come to the plate here in the bottom of the ninth inning. This is a fun way to finish. It has been one of the Angels best players this year. A team leader in RBIs 103 runs batted in for Ward this year called third strike ball game over Ward took one on the outside corner and the Astros take two out of three from the Angels winning it by the final score of 6 to 2.
