Pittsburgh Pirates vs Atlanta Braves – FULL GAME HIGHLIGHTS | September 28, 2025 MLB Season
between 2009 and 2016. Today is start number 140 in a Braves uniform for Charlie Morton and 95. A little bit low as he deals to Jared Triolo. Charlie Morton. Groundered to third. On to second for one. Come on. Double play. 5 4 3 two now. lifted in the air deep out to left center. Harris drifting back, but he’s got room and Proar puts it in the air [Applause] and the short stop. Trioto brings it in. Ronald Akuna lifts it high and deep to left center. And she is long gone. Two to nothing Braves in the first. [Music] [Applause] And it had some hang time, too. Shallow out into right center and a good running catch. Canario sliding on the grass to Rob Ball. line drive but into the glove of Triolo. Braves on the Akunia homer take a two to nothing lead. [Applause] Two. He struck him out and he did it with a curveball. One-1 here to Nick York. And York pretty deep to left. Proar back in front of that short wall. Just enough room for Juriken Proar. Swing and a miss. Strike three. Flores is down. A little curious as I always do watching that pitch. Should be routine out to Canario and it is entire media care. He apologized again for saying a potty mouth word, but it was all in good fun. Well, bouncer up the middle is going to turn into an inning ending double play. Sale one, two, got him. Slider bearing down on that back foot and Gonzalez went right through it. Those that don’t win the division are still going to the postseason. The Astros got eliminated yesterday. Pro Far is 0 for two. It is wild to think today, but that’d be something. 30 and 95 be nice. Hits it well, but he lines it to York. Ooh, called strike on the inside corner. Akuna is down. One, two, three, third for Odo. Let me step aside for Charlie, but I’ll still throw a bulk of this game. It’s admirable certainly to see. It’s very easy to kind of mail it in when things go sideways and go south in a season. sail struck him out. 96 blown right by Nick York [Applause] about that. Got to finish the season and stop. A roller to first off the bat of Drake Baldwin. He is 0 for two season and like you said pretty decent but maybe even some more room for growth because you see the big arm and mention how good his fast ball has been but still a little ways I have the mental fortitude off the end of the bat towards Ronald Duna Jr. and he brings it in. Foul tip into the mid of Drake Baldwin. Two down. Triolo able to get that low velocity on that big of a breaking ball has always been impressive. He does throw the slider with a little more firmness and it’s line. You know what? Looks like Nick Allen. This could be his job to take over. That went off the glove of Flores. They will get Alvarez at second and Allen will reach. Nick Allen’s going to try to steal a base here. Now they got the tag in and Nick Allen is the second out. going to be a big one and the dominoes will fall then after that one two slider Odo has gotten into a nice groove talked about it quite a bit but his impact is going to be felt here for a long time and it’s being felt today a lot of these Pirates hitters falling victim style but forehead I don’t think so you don’t want to do that one Reynolds comes in and pinch hits here and the first offering he sees he lines to the wall and left cruises into second it’s double to Pittsburgh. The Pirates sent their center fielder Nate Mloud who was an allstar as that one falls in and they might get a run out of this and they will. Akuna can’t do anything with it. It’s two to one. But Charlie made the point that it was Nate Mloud leading. It’s a special sport. Gives us so many good stories. Taking off for second base, right? They got him. They did. You are right. Excellent throw by Baldwin. And Allen does the rest. His seventh strikeout today. There it is. 95 top shelf. Canario is down. Big debut Tuesday against the Cincinnati Reds. Matt Olsen liner to left and Fan can’t get to it. It bounces into the third row. A double for the Braves first base. Little feather in the cap of Barco in his second big league game as he strikes out one of Major League Baseball’s best hitters in Ronald Duna Jr. Tommy Fam back a few steps. Out number two Kim reaches for it. And Matt Olsen is stranded every single day. We are well said. Alvarez on to second and they will get the lead runner in Nick York. Yes. 96 painted inside corner. Cam Deainy. Little frozen pizza here on the final day of the season. 3-2 pitch. Yes, he gave it to him. A final strike out of the season for Chris Sale. Nine strike tickets. He might have passed one of the all-time Braves great. Yeah, a lot of numbers to like a lot of cool accomplishments as Harris is going to ground out here to start the bottom of the seventh. Marcelo Zuna concluding his sixth season with the Atlanta Braves and going down on strikes here. Marco gets him with a splitter send off, but you never know how it’s going to end up. We felt that same way about Charlie a year ago and here he is. Quick bottom for the Braves and they’ll try to keep this two to one here in the eighth. Nacho Alvarez has that liner off the bat of Gonzalez from Kinley. and Sinsky gets underneath it, hits it to Harris. Two down in here and he grounds it to Nick Allen and Tyler Kinley. Kind of fitting for the year he’s had. Three up, three. Matt Olsen will get one more opportunity at 30 homers. He’s due up third here. Allen to right. Oh, it fooled York over his head and Allen is going to get a double out of it. Ela peeled down and Proar did go according to Brock Belaloo. Ramirez one, two. Olson soft little liner. It drops out and around third. He will score. insurance in the eighth. [Applause] It won’t be a homer. It’s a bouncer to short. Whoa, a bad throw to first. And now Matt Olsen is going to come in and score on the careless air by the Pirates. [Music] right direction. Line to center. Michael Harris. Yep. One more great catch for him. Great deadline. Whether or not he would continue on, he’s still here. A free agent after the season and getting a strike out of O’Neal Cruz. Two down here in the ninth. 17 consecutive saves for Rice Saglacius. A strike away from 18 straight to finish the season. Starting with Charlie Morton’s final start now. A Glacius trying to polish it off. Ground ball off of Aacius’s glove. Allen makes the play. And for one final time in 2025, Braves win. [Applause]
