Last off seasonason you said, “Don’t call us Sacramento.” The A’s literally put out a brand guide. Here’s what to call us. We’re ATTH. We’re green and gold. We’re not Sacramento. We don’t have any identifier. We’re just the athletics. We’re not attaching ourselves to Sacramento at all. Now, had they stuck with that position, I would say, okay, at least you’re sticking with that position. Had they gone the other way and said, “We are going to be branded as the Sacramento Athletics.” That’s actually what I think was probably in their best interest from the start. But they chose not to do that. They were very intentional about not doing that. And then they read the room and then they changed directions on that. There’s a Sacramento patch to counter the Las Vegas patch on the other side. They get rid of the elephant patch. And now they’re putting it across the chest. All of this goes into the entire reputation of the A’s to say one thing and do another or try something until you realize, oo, this is hard and then stop trying and just do the opposite thing. Like all of this fits a a reputation and a narrative that already exists out there and they’re just feeding into that by even doing something as simple as S.
