🚨REACTION: Chicago Bears Get MASSIVE WIN Over Raiders On Josh Blackwell’s Blocked Field Goal!

[Music] The Chicago Bears win in thrilling fashion thanks to a Josh Blackwell blocked field goal with less than 40 seconds left to beat the Raiders 2524 to improve to 2-2 heading into the bye. What a win. My name is Harrison Graham. This is our Chicago Bears now postgame show. Spam the dubs in the chat. Gut check win. It’s not always going to be pretty in the NFL. It’s not always going to be easy, but the Bears found a way to win this game despite a lot of self-inflicted errors, despite the inability to stop the run. We’re going to talk about it all here. Let’s start with the quarterback. In the first half, the defense gave you two quick takeaways inside the Raiders 30 and you got three points out of it because you got stuffed once and Max Crosby made one of the best interceptions you’ll ever see. Dropped into coverage, swatted the ball to himself, picked it off. They got another possession inside the 30 that they only got three off of. I mean, the Bears defense was giving the offense short fields and they just weren’t doing anything with it. And it really wasn’t a Caleb issue. It was the pass protection was getting driven back. They cannot run the ball. This is going to be something we’re going to talk about this week. The Bears got to do something to get the run game going because it’s all on Caleb in the passing game shoulders here. But when the back was against the wall, when it was time to make some plays, they made some plays. They hung in there in the first half. We’re down 14 to9. Took a quick lead in the second half. Got a stop and score to go up 16 to uh 14. Caleb threw a beautiful deep end to Roma Dunay for a long touchdown, his fifth of the season. uh talking about Rome there. And then down 24 to9 late, Caleb gets a couple of key scrambles, hits a couple of key throws, including one to DJ Moore, one to Roma Dunay, and they mercifully and finally found a couple runs that actually worked with DeAndre Swift because that continues to be a major struggle for this offense. But I said it all week, this game is not about style points. This isn’t college football. There’s no college football playoff committee to impress. You’re one and two. You’re coming off a comfortable win. You’re on the road facing another one and two team who’s desperate as well. Empty the tank. You got a lot of key guys out. Kyler Gordon, Jaylen’s on IR. TJ Edwards is still out. Uh Grady Jarrett doesn’t play in this game. Just guys are down everywhere. Can you find a way to dig deep and get a win? And that is exactly what the Chicago Bears did against the Raiders on Sunday in a game that they probably should have won easier, but also at the same time could have lost. It’s like it’s it’s hard to digest it all given the missed opportunities in the first half off those takeaways. But in the end, Caleb drives him down late. They take a lead. Bears defense forces a long field goal. Big play by Kevin Byer who had two picks today. We’ll talk more about the defense in a minute. Gets the stop on third and two of Genty which forces the Raiders to kick a 54 y with 30 something seconds left. So even if he made it, you had two timeouts and 30 plus seconds left to try to get back into field goal range. So, that was a huge play. Obviously, Blockwell, Blackwell, Blockwell, that’s the Bears tweeted out, uh, gets the block and, uh, they end up winning the game 25 to 24. Absolutely glorious win. Caleb Williams continuing to be clutch down the stretch. One thing he was consistently last year is he put them in position late to win a lot. Did so again today. Um, let’s talk about this running game a little bit. I don’t know what you do, but this ain’t it, man. And again, they found a few runs late. That’s encouraging. But as a whole, 26 carries, 69 yards. Swift under three yards a carry. Uh Kyle Manungai again had a couple nice ones. I mean, you know, I think the immediate answer is how about eight carries instead of four, right? Like I I think you got to give him more of a look. I’m not sure if, you know, they don’t fully trust him yet. Seventh round rookie, it’s hard to say. And again, I’ve given Swift credit. had a couple nice runs late, scored the game-winning touchdown. So, you know, I’m not acting like the guy shouldn’t play at all. And I do think the run blocking is a bigger issue than the pass protection for this offensive line right now, but you got to try something because status quo, you’re just not finding success on the ground. The Raiders rush for 240 yards. You rush for 69. to win that game. That’s a testament to the secondary dominating Gino Smith and to just making timely plays offensively with Kale Blooms in your pass attack because I said it all week. You cannot let this be the breakout game for Ashton Genty. Oh, it was a breakout game. 64 yard touchdown run. He caught two touchdowns. He averaged almost seven yards per carry. He’s breaking tackles left and right. That is the top 10 pick we talked about leading up into the draft. He looked every bit worthy of the number six overall pick today and he gave the Bears major major problems. But even Raheem Moster, four carries, 62 yards. I mean, their running game compared to yours was just I mean, night and day. It it just could not have been a bigger gap uh between the two teams. So, that’s to me priority number one during the by-week. How do you get the run game going? How do you slow down the run? It is hard to win games when you can’t run the ball and you can’t stop the run. somehow you did today. I I don’t know how, but uh again, that’s a testament to Gino having a rough day in the secondary. Tyreek Stevenson, big pick as well. We’ll talk about the defense a little bit here as well. Then just some overall thoughts heading into the bye-week. All right, sub for Bears Dubs. We’re so close to our next milestone. 132 subs away. Can we get there tomorrow? You can double your money even if one of your picks doesn’t hit. Price Pix offered a max discount play for Jaylen Herz this week. More than half a passing yard. I turned that into a three-player lineup. I thought Ashton Genty would score. Then they could score three times, but uh that goblin play hit as he had three touchdowns, just needed one. Uh and then Rome just got over the finish line. 69 yards, took the more on his 61 and a half, $20 entry to win $105. Your boy has some extra cash to play with. Download the Prize Fix app today. Use our code CLNS to get $50 in lineups after you play your first $5 lineup. That’s code CLNS to get $50 in lineups after you play your first $5 lineup. Prize picks. It’s good to be right. Okay, before we get to the defense, not a good game for Cole KT. Got away with it cuz you won, but my goodness, he drops a critical pass early on on one of those takeaways, I believe, on a seam shot. Caleb put it right on his face mask. It was the same concept of the Bills preseason game if you remember when they uh beat Buffalo up the scene. wide open, hits the back foot, lets it rip, hits him in stride, dropped instead of first and goal at the five. Uh the next play you lose four yards and then Caleb gets sacked and you’re out of field goal range and have to punt. So you’re probably going to get a touchdown, but at minimum you’re getting a chip shot field goal. That was a massive killer in the first half. And then another play late in the first half, Caleb avoids two sacks, scrambling right, piss missile on the run. It’s Cole or nobody. It’s not going to be ruled to drop by, you know, PFF, Pro Football Reference, all that stuff. But it’s about a foot off the ground and Cole’s got his hands on it. Like, he should squeeze that ball. It was unbelievable play by Caleb. Doesn’t come up with that one. Has two false starts today. One on fourth and one where the Bears end up having to punt and then another one after you finally got a nice three or four yard run by DeAndre Swift. Ends up being second and 11, second and 12. Anyway, you won the game. Cole’s a good player, but he did not play like a $12 million tight end today when you didn’t have Coulson love him. Like, he he needs to play a lot better than that. I I thought it was one of his worst games as a Bear. Did have 46 yards, but like come on, dude. You You can’t drop that seam shot. You can’t have a false start on fourth and one. It’s unacceptable. It’s unacceptable. A guy who earned his paycheck today is Kevin Bard. He and Max Crosby were going blowfor-lb blows the best player in the first quarter. Two picks, one of them was full extension. He baited Gino into one two where he kind of faked to go deep center field and then he flipped his hips and uh beline for the ball and jumped the crossing route. Really nice play. I thought he was awesome. Had some big tackles. Again, I think he was in on that third down stop to force the long field goal for the Raiders with less than 40 seconds left. That was huge. What a performance by him. And then we got to give credit to this guy. What Tyreek Stevenson has done the last two weeks without Jaylen Johnson, it’s impressive as hell. He said this week, he says, “I feel like I I I’m the number one guy right now. You’ve played like it the last two weeks. Last week he was terrific.” And again, I don’t know like what the coverage numbers are going to say, but they held Gino to 117 and he had one of the best interceptions I I’ve seen a corner make. Guy has a step on a crosser to start the second half. First play of the second half. Gino throws it kind of on the run. He kind of had to bail out of the pocket. And Tyreek full extension dive picks it off. It was an unbelievable play. Unbelievable play. I think it was defending Jacobe Meyers who didn’t do hardly anything today. So Tyreek has stepped up to the plate and answer the bell. I think he’s responding well to Al Harris’s coaching. So big big stuff from the defense. Tmaine second straight double digit tackle game. He’s been stepping up with TJ Edwards out. So uh just a lot of good stuff from the defense. Did they did they get gash in the run? Yeah, they got gashed. The run defense is still a problem, but the secondary was great. Dennis Allen, I thought, dialed up a couple of timely blitzes as well. End of the day, without three key starters, you hold them to 24 points and they’re building, that’s a win. That’s a win. And you got a bunch of takeaways doing it, too. Second straight game with four takeaways. So, absolutely love that. Let me ask you this. Going into the by-week at two and two, is this a playoff team? Type Y for yes, type in for no. Some steps in the right direction. you had to get to the buy two and two or better. You found a way to do that. So, uh we’ll find out after the bye-week. Got to get some guys healthy. We’ll talk about uh a lot of different stuff this week. Bye- changes. The Bears can make uh some other stuff as well. But guys, celebrate this win. 24-hour rule. It can apply to us as fans as well. Celebrate this win. Had to have it. Got it. Dramatic fashion. You just love to see it, man. You absolutely love to see it. Hit that subscribe button and bear the hell down. [Music]

  1. Love the win❣️ I just knew they would lose, but I'm happy I was wrong.🥹🙌 With that stated, what's up with Cole Kmet🤔 He's been terrible since last season, who was mainly a guaranteed catch for Justin Fields.. Now I'm wondering if Colston Loveland was a reason behind on why he was drafted??? 🤔

  2. Awesome win. Byard was awesome but Stevenson has been the Bears MVP. They would be in trouble without him. Kmet was a disaster. Was he trying to lose the game? Does he miss Eberflus? Lets trade him to the Cowboys.

  3. one of my fave things about this victory- coach gets the last laugh on that idiotic and snide sideline reporter after halftime. she should focus on asking reasonable and respectful questions instead of making smug disrespectful gotcha statements.

  4. We could’ve taken some many RBs in round 2 or 3. Hell I think Hampton might have been the right call at 10.

Instead we have a bunch of players who are hurt or barely play.

  5. We lost alot of momentum in the first due to Swift not being able to do his part that cannot keep bieng ignored if we want to win he needs to accept roles in a recieving mannor because monongai is coming in off of the bench in his first year and averaging close to 4 ypc

  6. Bears win baby bear down ❤ we are finally are 2-2 in an amazing magical win and fought through also as Caleb made an amazing comeback TD drive keeping his poise and having his chemistry with everyone on the team and ben johnson is an amazing coach and we definitely can turn our season around let's gooooo # bear down baby❤

  7. Our defensive posture will be corrected when we are able to give them a break and i feel that will be possible w fixing the run game being able to possess the ball comfortably knowing we can hand the ball off and get 3rd/4th and short conversions we cant because we are still trusting swift who is nothing more that a rotational piece not an every down back

  8. And yes I agree Cole has to step it up big time he is our vet and should be setting a way better example and be more of a leader for Loveland, one of his worst games of his carrer. hopefully they get him to bounce back quickly
