Rockies vs. Giants Game Highlights (9/28/25) | MLB Highlights
Sunday afternoon baseball here at Oracle Park. The last time this year and it’s game number 162 as the Giants and Rockies close out the regular season on the hill today for the Giants will be the veteran right-hander Logan Webb. Logan Webb, 61, 225 pounder. He’s 28 years old out of Rockland, California, making start number 34. Trying to get his 15th win. He’s done it before. He’s going to try and equal his personal high in wins for a season. And here we go. led it back. Got him. And that’s how this game gets started. So, one away. And here is Goodman. Swing and a miss. He struck him out with that four seed fast ball. So, two down. And here is Blaine Crim. Got him. Weld stretches out the side. Giants are coming up. Kate Brown, the Rockies rookie out of Indiana University coming off a 10 strikeout effort in a game against Seattle. So, here’s Adamus. So Thomas is in the leadoff spot for one reason and that’s maybe he gets an extra at bat. It’s the first pitch to center field and wow on a hair number 30. But you think the fans were into it and were aware that he was one away from 30. Standing ovation and it could not happen to a better guy. Third time in his career that he’s had 30 or more. but he just entered a long drought. Giants have not had a player hit 30 home runs or more since Barry Bonds did it. First of all, we’re going to regress to the home run. You see the high fast ball challenge and Willie Adamus takes on center field and he knew it as soon as it left the bat, but he had reached 30. And he does it in an impressive way. Right past the bag and down the right field line. that gets stuck under the angled sidewall. Going into digging out is Drew Gilbert and into second and holding is the speedy Doyle with a double. Yankeiel Fernandez got change up right below the strike zone and Fernandez could not lay off. It is Kyle Caris finds this one to Ramos who comes in and lunges forward to make the catch. One nothing Giants. Wilmer Flores nice round of applause as he stands in line into center field but it’s right at the center fielder Britain Doyle. Why not here now is Jung Hu Lee B. He could go 0 for 30 and she would like him. Yes, that is true. There goes the runner. Two pitch. She is strike three called for to second and got him at strike him out. Throw him out. Striking out looking Bailey thrown out at second base is Lee. Well, you’re going to hear a nice round of applause. Wilmer Flores is coming out of the game. So, Wilmer Flores, just great contributions to this Giants team over many years. And you see the affection from Giants fans, but also from his teammates, from the staff. Dave Gretcher came over and gave him a big hug. Those two have been so close for all these years. One out for Ryan Ritter. Strikes out swinging. He’s got another one. 94 mph fast. He’s using that fourseamer today to very good effect. Tovar the hitter. Got him. Six strikeouts for Web. Hunter Goodman. One-two pitch. Goodman strikes out swinging. Got him on the four seamer. So add another one for Logan Web. Got him. One half throws. One bounce to Eldridge. Willie Adamus ends up 50 ft in center field with his momentum after making that play. What a great play that was from Adam. Ravi Divers is the first player in the majors to appear 163 games in a season since Justin Mono did it with the Twins in 2008. Divers high drive center field out of here. Number 35. 35 homers, 109 RBI’s. This one’s down and in. And he hits it. Starts measuring and he didn’t have to think too long as whether or not it was going out. So that’s pretty impressive. Here’s Doyle. Kind of got him. Eight strikeouts. just sort of established the hole at bat down around the knees and then he force seamed them up above the belt by design and that high fast ball for seamer that’s become a really good pitch for him. So the Rockies with two outs have two aboard and a chopper up the middle and Adamus has to go to first he does and that’ll end the inning. Colorado strands a pair Giants are coming up. Well during the break we just got this news Mike congratulations to Logan Webb. He is assured now that he will lead the National League in innings pitched and strikeouts. He’s the fourth giant to do with Amos Rosie, Christy Matthew, and Bill Voyel. Ezekiel Tobar. Adamus off balance throw. Perfect. He’s putting on a clinic defensively today. And here comes Bob Melvin out to the mound. So for Logan Webb, that’s five and a third innings. And the fans are already on their feet realizing that he’s being taken out of this game. A standing ovation for Logan Web. Five and a third innings in his final start of the year. And that gives him 207 innings pitched this season. The ace of the Giants. This is Goodman, the big slugger. Way out into triples alley. And this one’s going to bounce up against the number seven archway. And on the move is Goodman. And they got him. Now Goodman’s not going to leave until it’s confirmed. And it’s confirmed. Well, it couldn’t have been more perfect. I mean, we talk about Drew Gilbert and he loves to show his arm off. Well, Christian C has got a great arm, too. And he relays a one hop strike right to Chapman who puts on the tag and they got him by two inches. And will the Adamuses depart? Well, we’re having another one of those moments here. And another opportunity for the fans to express their respect for what was done by Willie Adamus this time as Bob Melvin sends in a new short stop and Adamus gets the big ovation. Jordan Beck at the plate facing Tristan Beck. A ball back to Beck who gets knocked over. Stands up on the mound throws to first. No problem. Just dust off and go after the next guy. It was not real graceful, but Beck gets back. The big dog in this lineup, it’s Hunter Goodman. The pitch is lined to short and cost drops it. He’ll pick it up. Throw to second for one. The throw to first. Double play. Well, the Rockies aren’t going to be that happy about that. But that was not an intentional drop. He The ball was knuckling on him and he knocked it down. And the Rockies don’t like it. But he did not do that to deceive the Rockies. The problem is it turns out to be an advantage for the Giants. They get the double play and that’s it. The the acting manager is coming out to argue with the umpires, but he’s not going to win this argument. We’ll go to the bottom of the eighth inning. Giants still ahead two nothing. Two outs. So McCrae to third, de now. Junghu leads the hole into the hole. One run’s going to score. Here comes Demers and Devers is going to be saved. Third hit of the day for Lee. Knocks in two. One last chance for Giants fans to do that chant. And the Giants lead is 4 nothing. Here’s Bibbons with McCrae now in left. Got him. Throws a slaughter in the outside part of the plate and lets it just move and fall out of the strike zone and get him to chase. Jordan back. Got him. 3-2 back door two seamer absolute perfect location and now the Rockies down to their final out has doubled struck out and single swag and a miss the season strikes out the side. Well, it really turned out to be a day of milestones for the Giants and they wind up on the season 81 and 81. But William Thomas gets his 30th home run. Raphael Deers. He appears in his 163rd game. And Logan Webb wind lines up leaving the National League innings pitched and strikeouts. And now they’re going to go out on the field and they’re going to say thank you to the crowd. So we just want to say thank you for all the support. I know this year end up not the way we wanted to, but we just want to thank you all. Thank you guys for the support. You guys were unbelievable. Said I speak for the whole team. We love you guys. You guys support us every single night. It means a lot. You guys spend your money to come show up and support us. You cheer hard. We love you guys. Uh I know we didn’t reach our goal this year. Uh we’re all disappointed, but you know, like Willie said, we’re going to go home. We really are going to get better. And we’re going to we’re not going to disappoint you guys next year. We’re going to be playing a lot later than this. So, thank you guys.

Where is that intensity in the game that mattered against St. Louis? π
Please can we start playing in October moving forward
Going to miss my Giants news every day, big life time fan from 1962. Spring season couldnβt come soon enough. Maybe by next year theyβll give this team the tools they need to win the whole thing.
Love the Giants! Thanks for an exciting season! We'll get 'em next year
5:10 Any time you're on the same list as Christy Mathewson, you know you did something right.
Exactly as I predicted. Nothing but a .500 team. Not good enough to go for it all, not bad enough to get a high draft pick. They are stuck in no where land. Free agent hitters don't want to come to SF and they don't seem to draft well. Changes are needed for sure somewhere along the line.
We are with you win, loose, or draw…….Go Giants! It was a tough season for everybody, but we love to be with you guys through the tough times, as it makes the good times that much better. Thank you to each member of the franchise. From Mr. Posey, to the concession stand workers at Oracle. Together, we are Giant. Congratulations to Willy Adames for cracking 30, and to Raphie Devers for the Games streak.
And a special thanks to Willy, and Chappie for your kind words to the fans. As upset as we, the fans, get with a loss, we also know that you guys are also upset, and hurt that you disappointed us. We feel that hurt with you, and want you to know we understand. The universe is wicked tricksy, and anything can happen in baseball. Thanks for making being a Giants fan a lot of fun!
Everyday a great day to be a GIANT
great season cant wait to go 81-81 next season πππππ₯³π₯³π₯³π₯³πππππ
Lots of good highs, lots of bad lows. Was fun to watch when they were good. Here's to next year.
Great season anyway. We got some hitters. Just have to work on the bullpen. And it sounds like Flores is leaving the Giants. Is this true?
And we have reached the end of yet another.500 season. Gotta give it to the Giants, at least they are consistent.

B.Melvin is doing everything so the Giants don't make the playoffs……

-We need any one of those two back up catchers to back up for C-P.Bailet,C-A.Knizner is the worst catcher on our roster he doesn't hit,Throw runners out or block balls behind the plate he needs to go,a long with INF-C.Koss,I would have kept INF-B.Wisley over INF-C.Koss and never sent OF-L.Matos back down,he would be my everyday RF'er….

RP-S.Bivens,RP-J.Paguero,RP-M.Gage
RP-R.Walker,The Giants strategy was start and sign anyone that is DFA'd from previous teams because they are cheap,And that doesn't and didn't work…B.Melvin Benched W.Flores the majority of the season when he had 16'HRs and lead the team in RBIs,and wondered why we couldn't hit while we had runners in scoring positions, name another coach who benched the teams RBI leader just for a 30 year old bench player who has never been close to 60'RBIs in his entire career?????Benching W.Flores after he goes 3-4 with a HR,3 hits and 2'RBI's is the dumbest decision,Every,Then RF-L.Matos comes back on fire and he sends him back down with zero options left on his contract for G.McCray,Come on how is that a good decision,B.Melvin uses the same analytics strategy as Farhan that gave us 5-6 terrible seasons…..His lineup is even worse nobody is in the right spot in the lineup there for they can't be consistent at the plate,CF-J.Hoo'Lee goes 4-4 at the lead off spot,B.Melvin moves him to the 7 spot,Put DH-R.Devers in the 4th whole at the cleanup spot batting behind LF-H.Ramos who should be in the 3rd whole so DH-R.Devers can get RBI's instead of solo Homerruns,Those solo HRs should be 2 or 3 run HRs……
B.Melvin takes out 1B-W.Flores who has 16'HRs and leads the team in RBI's with over 60 for a guy who will give you at least 2'Ks during his two At'Bats,At least take him out for 1B-J.Encarnacion….
I love my Giants
Will always love the Giants. Thanks for going out on a win and thank you Adames for breaking that #30 curse. This team has the talent, rest up and come back better in β26. See yall next spring!
Next year we will hit 89 wins
2021 still makes me sick. I really thought some Wilmer magic was gonna happen against Max Scherzer n the Dodgers UGH. Like 2014 Mike Morse game 5 vs STL
man I just want to make playoffs
Thank you Wilmer Flores!!!
When itβs your team, itβs your team. Playoffs would have been great, but they battled all season had had some moments. Go Giants!
This was a good season to a point but also disappointing as well. We shall see how this team improves next by making some definite changes with some of the players. GO SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS!!!
C ya Melvin
Thanks for the good effort Giants. Have a greatg offseason and be ready for next year.
even tho it was a bad season it shows what we can do when we are playing winning baseball had some really good streaks there so def alot to look forward too and some changes for sure need to be made but i still love this team no matter what
I feel like some of the fans are way too hard on this team. No matter what happens, I will love my SF giants. Win or lose, I'm a forever fan
Great to hear Kuiper saying "Outa here!!!" Before the season ends.
Overall about the most that an objective fan would hoped for this season. Some decent growth and some positive signs of good days ahead.
Thanks y'all π love your guys FC from Thailand I was here 25 years that why's I love Giants πͺπͺ. 49ers not winning
