Cootes is better than the invention of sliced bread. There, I said it.
There are criticisms of this front office, but the scouting and player development has been way better.
Maybe I’m just high on the Cooter right now but in years to come, people will revisit this draft year and be like, “*Can’t believe we got him! What a draft steal!*”
Joe Sakic – also drafted mid teens. Also around 5’11 185. Not saying Cootes will have a career like Joe, but smarts > competitiveness > shot/skating > size
