It’s a great time to do it because we got Major League Baseball on the board. WNBA playoffs this week. We got week six college football on the horizon, but Sunday NFL takes center stage. So, make sure that you jump on and use the promo code pick at checkout and get 15% off your purchase. But let’s get to this one between the Boston Red Sox and the Detroit Tigers. No starter confirmed for Boston as of yet. The Detroit Tigers will send out Tariq Scubble, it looks like, for this game. They have clinched a playoff spot, though. And like I would say for a lot of Sunday’s card, tread lightly. You know, we’re doing the videos the night before. We’re going to try to update it for you, at least what we can on Sunday. Um, but if you’re betting this game, do your due diligence. A lot of this is going to hinge also on results from um from Sunday’s card. But if the Detroit Tigers win, you know, they need to win out to have any semblance of a shot to try to get the AL Central if Cleveland um were to lose one of their next two games on Saturday or Sunday. And if they do clinch, I mean, that could be a big reason why, you know, you could or could not see Tariq Scubble because the Tigers will be playing in the wildcard round. It’s just a matter of if they’re going to be playing at home, if they win the division or if they if they don’t win the division, if they’re going to be heading out on the road. So, if I’m Detroit, I want to save Tariq, but I also want to be able to get home field if possible. So again, that’s why I say there’s sort of a lot to sort of dissect in this matchup. Now, the Tigers kind of put themselves behind the eightball down the stretch. They should be in a better position than they are, but this is a team that lost nine of their last 11 games. They just did not play well in the month of September. And when we saw Scooble in his last road start, six innings, a three-run ball, one earned. Um, but it was a loss to the Cleveland Guardians. And I remember that game very well. You know, Scubble was rolling along. The Guardians are redot. And then Scooble drilled David Fry in the face with that fast ball. And then he tried that play through his legs where he tried to throw it like like a like a center on a an offensive line. Didn’t work. And then everything kind of just unraveled from that point. But I do still think he is obviously a quality option. Still a front runner for the Sai Young in the American League. And you look at the the Boston Red Sox in the last couple of weeks against left-handed pitching. This is a Boston lineup that, you know, is barely above league average in terms of batting average. The isolated power numbers aren’t anything special. The team OPS numbers are just outside the bottom 10. So, for me, I I still think that that Scubble could have a strong outing here. Again, it will depend on who Boston sends out in this matchup, but I think that, you know, Boston knows they’re going to be either playing the Yankees or the Blue Jays and going on the road for their wildcard series. It’s just a matter of getting there as healthy as possible. I’m not saying they’re going to throw this game or tank this game because they are still at home, but I just think the level of motivation for Detroit kicks in here and I’m going to lean towards the Detroit Tigers in this one and that’s going to be my free pick.
