This is why every game matters. Yankees would be AL East champs, if they didn’t choke that infamous game against the Marlins, played better against the Blue Jays all season (literally just 1 game), or if 10-or-so games Boone didn’t insist on using Devin Williams and blew all of our games. Same thing happened to the Mets when losing 2 of 3 against the Reds in July literally sunk their season without them knowing. Congrats Blue Jays, you certainly did earn it! But man, knowing all of the games the Yankees blew that costed us a #1 seed makes me ILL.
