Campbell and Moses looking like a solid pair….

  1. I hope we never have to have a discussion about arm length or wingspan ever again. Some people went absolutely mental with that.

  2. Despite having short arms, Campbell RAS (Relative Athletic Score) was through the freaking roof. Arm length is included in RAS, so he is an extremely athletic 6’6ā€, 320 pound human. He is also a freaking dawg and has a fantastic work ethic and attitude. Starting at LT at LSU as a true freshman tells you everything you need to know about his football character.

After 4 games, that pick looks like a an absolute Home Run.

    Keep ballin’ Will!

  3. Not that its bad but these charts are so silly. It doesnt count all the players in the league and also the Y axis is what matters where he’s middle of the pack, the X axis isnt really relevant since the best time to pressure is never.

You can pretty much make this plot charts say anything.

  4. Listen, I didn’t bang the drum loudly for Will Campbell. My honest to God thought was “There’s no way a guy can play that well in SEC and just suck *but* the data around the arm length thing is there so..” But I was always surprised by the amount of people that thought he was gonna straight up suck. Maybe his build could prevent him from becoming elite (so far not the case lol) but nobody who watched the guy at LSU could think he was gonna suck.

  5. Turns out everyone who assumed a kid who started at LT as a freshman in the SEC going against NFL caliber pass rushers, and only allowed 5 sacks his entire college career, would translate was right.

  6. Time to put the whole arm length thing to bed. It’s an arbitrary measurable. Technique, footwork and strength are a whole hell of a lot more important than a half inch of arm length

  7. Really sucks seeing the 49ers could’ve kept McGlinchey and more instead of paying Aiyuk. Fans were always really mixed on him but pretty clearly outperforming McKivitz here
