The Reds have secured their spot in the Postseason! (2025 season highlights) 🔴⚫️
High fly left center. Ramos back. Matt Mlan’s first hit of 25 is a homer. Return of the Mack at GABP. Well, Matt Mlan just missed hitting a couple on opening day. That one right there got enough of it. That’s a little insight to the strength of this young man. He doesn’t have to hit it flush to hit it out the ballpark. Look for a lot of that to happen this season. into right field. Base hit. Wave on Mlan. Scoop by MTOS. Mlan scores. Ellie de la Cruz with a game tying single. It’s two. Well, really love to see that aggressive early and then showing the patience of laying off a couple close pitches. Little breaking ball and Ellie just stays disciplined and ras it to right field for the RBI single. Rocket ride to right. Home run. The Red’s first lead of the game. It’s three to two. We talked about the power of Christian Incarnas on Strand. He makes solid contact. Doesn’t make a difference where he hits it. The ball’s going to travel. That ball’s well out of here. Double play ball. Mlan has to hit the bag. The throw. Got him. Double plays in three straight innings up the middle. Short stops galore ranging well to his right. Getting himself in position to catch that ball and throw on the run. Moss pops it up. Mlean going out. Reds win. A one two three night for Alio Pagan. And the Reds have leveled the series. their first victory of 2025. They take it three to two. Well, really a nice job by the pitching staff today. Only three runs needed to get the win. Taking the mound for the first time as a red, the 28-year-old Brady Singer. Nice. And the slider wipes out Simeon. As I said, I think what Brady Singer does well is read the swing of the hitter. He said, “All right, you’re going to chase. Let me go a little further out.” Good pitch for strike three. Yes, tied him up. That slider looked sharp. Yeah, I think establishing the inside part of the plate for Brady Singer is really important specifically against these lefties. Lefties like the ball down and in. It’s a really good pitch. Tiveres foul tip strike three. That’s a third strike out for Singer. Love when your pitcher comes out and just throws strikes after you go out there and score some runs. Tendency sometimes is for those pitchers to go out there and let up a little bit. The O2 strike three called got him looking. Sinker came back to the inside corner against the left-handed hitting switch hitter Tiveres. Payoff can hear Apollo now. There is no more time. He is throwing it. He’s working both sides of the plate. A little two seamer runs in on the hands of Marcus Simeon. He’s throwing darts out there. Swinging a miss. Got him with the slider. Down and away. Wyatt Langford down on strikes. Three more strikeouts for Brady Singer in the sixth. Called strike three. All the offensive output. Brady Singer just continues to pitch efficiently, throw darts, strikes him out. Boy, Brady Singer has been absolutely phenomenal in his first start in a Red’s uniform. Seven innings of one hit shut out baseball. Ellie de la Cruz his three hits on the young year. All singles. Hard ground ball. Base hit. Now the Reds begin three for three. Really good swing right here. Fast ball up and away. It’s awesome to talk about LA de La Cruz being compact in the swing. All 6’5 of him. Mlan sets the stage. De La Cruz drills it to center. O2 to a walk and make him pay all the way with a threerun homer. It is 6 nothing Reds. Well, this is called making a statement early. First game of the series and the boys have come out swinging the bat opposite way. Down for a hit. Couple of runs. Tremen scores. Fredel scores. Mlan to third. A two-run two bagger. Ellie de la Cruz a triple shy of the cycle and it’s nine nothing. Ellie de La with yet another well-hit baseball. These guys are really working through the baseball. Destroyed deep right center off the base of the batter’s eye. He has driven in five. His first two bombs of the year come tonight. Reds by two touchdowns. Make sure you stay in your seats, folks, cuz this young man is some kind of exciting. His ability is just off the charts. Number 21, their ace Hunter Green on the hill. Yeah, Hunter’s last time out in San Francisco, eight and two/3 innings. It’s impressive on the inside edge. A perfect start. Valdez on three pitches and he gets the strike out. His second of the game that allows the infield to move back. Got him looking again. Just such a difficult pitch to hit right there. 99 mph up and in. He walked Cruz on four the first time. He strikes him out here. Second time through a breeze. It’s one, two, three. [Applause] Foul tip strike three. Struck him out. Slider down and in. Talk about a feel for pitching. I feel Hunter Green has thrown a couple of different sliders. One at 92, that one at 89. And I think purposely 22. Look it. Wow. To left center. Lux handles arms up in victorious fashion. Another seven strong from Green. He has set down 17 in a row. Marte three hits, two ribbies and double has scored a run. High fly down the left field line. Laurato going way back and that is gone. A grand slam by Noelby Marte. The Reds have thundered 20 runs. Wow. Reds now have three batters with four hits today. Two two rifle to right. That’s down for a hit. Wave is on for Fredel. Costanos from right. Throw to second. Fredel scores. Mlan first to third. Another right-handed hitting base hit for Ellie de la Cruz. It’s a one-run game to right field. Castanos misses the ball. It’s off the wall. Mlan scores. De La Cruz a peak and right. He gallops to third. A standing double to tie it from Hayes. It’s three all. That ball is absolutely blistered. And when you’ve got a pitcher on the mound that can’t figure out a way to locate the ball on the inside of the plate to a righty. It allows the righties to lean out over the plate a little bit. And now the game is tied. Roped over third. Fair ball. That’s a couple of runs. De La Cruz scores. Hayes jogs home. Steer up to second base. A standing two-run double. The first five have reached and they’ve all been able to come in. And what is most amazing to me about this, John, all of these runs have come not only in comeback fashion, they have come against a lefthanded starter. Hey hallelujah. To center field. Some carry. Rojos in fairly deep center. That’s just a great job by Marte. Great job. Sackfly RBI broken back. Little flare that could have been a run. Wave is on. A challenge for Marsh from left center to the plate to to off glove. A score. Marte to third. Fired by Sanchez. Gets away. He gives another run. The Phillies collapsing and the Reds taking plum advantage of the opportunity. Next man up, keep the line moving. Austin Hayes scoring and yet another mistake defensively from the Phillies. Two-2 once more in the air. Left field. Marsh going back on the track. Grand slam. The deadline deal with the back breaker. It is 8 nothing Cincinnati. Well, the aggressiveness of Miguel and Duhar giving himself a couple of chances hitting balls foul. A slider that didn’t do much of anything. Just stayed right there and the power leading to the grand slam. A moment for Marte. The Reds did not know a deficit until the ninth. They briefly tied it before review ran it back. Grounded through base hit. Mle scores. Freedle home. Throw from left is late. Reds win. Marte rises to the moment and the Reds come up off the mat. They gave it away. They take it back from Toronto 54. Yeah, just outstanding numbers. Of course, the the record has been because of the lack of offensive production, but his walks are down, his strikeouts are up. He’s been dominant. The strikeouts come and he whips Lindor like like that right there. It’s just like here it comes. Get ready. There you go. Frozen strike three. No hesitation from Hunter Green. Here it is. Hit it. Struck him out on three. Wow. Looking. Wow. Just outstanding command. The aggressiveness of Green has been punching out nets left and right. Foul tip. caught clean. Strike three. Another split strike out. McNeel knifes through. Stevenson gathers. First strike out for McNeel in 32 plate appearances. Struck him out. Ro the heater and a hundo. Double digits for Green after that split. Take your medicine. Third time this year, 12th time on his career that he has struck out double digit men. Struck him out. 11 for Green. The velocity is certainly impressive, but the command has been really good. Struck him out. A dirty dozen for Green. He ties his season high. He goes off to an ovation. Two- two pitch. Middle of the plate, right center field. And Cincinnati is going to take the lead on a Benson base hit. He’s on his way to second. He slides in safely. It’s one- nothing Cincinnati. 109 mph rocket. It’s one- nothing. That’s what I’m talking about. One of the strongest guys you will see in Major League Baseball. Just gets a little force. Pretty much dead down the middle and rifles that into right center. Hayes scores easily. Called straight. An absolute gem when they needed it most from their ace. The Reds still going in the playoff chase behind a complete game. Shut out from Hunter Green. It’s cracked to center field. Fredel going deep. Gap. Suzuki through second. Spinning throw by Fredel to De La Cruz. Suzuki rounding third. Fire to the plate. It’s there. The T. It is out. Fredel de la Cruz. Trevinho. And they cut him down at the plate. That is a good cand and really nice job by TJ Fredo cutting this ball off and hitting the relay. Man, you want your infielder to make the long throw. Ellie with a dime. That is cracked left field. Home run on Duar. Did you just call that? I don’t think it’s calling it when he’s allowed the third most overs in the National League. Excellent job right there, Miguel Anduhar. You see how he pulls this ball to left field, staying up the middle, fouling off pitches until he can get one he can handle. And handle it he did. He drives this to left center field and gone. All three hits for the Reds have left the yard and Steer brings Cincinnati back within one. Well, when Ian is leaving the ball out over the plate and up in the zone, these guys are not missing it. Spencer Steer homered his last time. Slap to left center. Pro Armstrong going back. Leaps at the wall and gone. Two tonight for Steer. The first red to 20 on the year. And Cincinnati slingshots ahead six to four. [Applause] lifted center field. Hayes has it. Fredel latched down the right field line. Fair ball. Home run Fredle. He yanks a laser just inside the pole. 42 Reds. And the question is, can you smell it? And can you feel it? And I think that’s exactly what’s happening downstairs. Opportunity is right in front of us and take advantage of it. Acknowledge him. Pagan punches him out. Will hit to right. Down for a hit. Wave is on for Mlan. Suzuki just now scoops off balance. He missed the ball. Mlan scores and Luck shuts it down at second. an RBI standing double. One- nothing Reds. Hitting with runners in scoring position and taking advantage of opportunities. That’s exactly what this team has done this entire series. And not the home run this time, but a double with a runner in scoring position leading to a run. Got him looking. Swing complete beyond short base hit. Later break for Freedom. Canario just now gathers. Twin Mill is on. Relay to the plate. Freedom scores. Gets away. Marte up to second. The Reds have their run. And another man in scoring position. Elvie Marte right back up the middle. And TJ Fredo has to go back because that line drive possibly gets caught this time. Safe easily at the dish. He swings highf fly right field. Marte all the way back, leaps at the wall. He caught it. He takes away a game tying home run. The biggest play from Marte in the outfield. He saves the day. I saw him after he caught the ball running to TJ Fredo like, well, does he have it? Does he not? That is an outstanding play. getting to the wall, scaling and extending. Outstanding. McCutchen to right. Marte and route again. He got it. The Reds close out their home slate of the regular year with a win. They top the Pirates two to one. The Reds are a half game out in the wild card. What a way to finish the home stand. Quickly late and they start in the middle and break off. You get a commitment. Grounded left side through base hit. Lux scores. Rivy for Steer. He ties it. Lux. Couple of hard hit balls to left. Make it three. That’s fair. Lux up to second. Lost briefly by Bowers. Lux trying for three. He’s got it. Double E7. And the Reds had the go-ahead run 90 ft away beginning the inning. Great hustle by Gavin Lux. That’s to center field and down for a hit. Lux jogs home on Doohart does it. I would say that’s pretty good execution. How about you, John? RBI single to center and the Reds ahead two to one because you want to be the guy to drive the run in line drive base hits. S Stewart delivers a comebacker that plates the first run of the night for Cincinnati. Noel P Marte comes in to score and the Reds have a one- nothing lead. Topped in front of Paul plate. Miseroski stumbles off the mound and everybody’s safe. Key Brian Hayes with a swinging bunt drives home the second run of the night for Cincinnati. Doesn’t matter how hard you hit it. The exit velocity is not going to be high. It’s not going to be an analytical darling, but it’s a knock and an RBI and a two nothing lead and there’s nothing Mizarowski could do. Another payoff and it’s a base hit to left field. Two runs will score. Ball gets away and this will then clear the bases. A six spot for Cincinnati. TJ Fredle drives in two. A throwing error brings another one home. And the Reds have serious breathing room now. Been through more and they can’t kill

Congratulations CIN and good luck in the playoffs. 👍
Lets go Reds!!!
LOLMETS
Q. What do you call 40 millionaires sitting at home watching the World Series on TV ?
A. The New York Mets.
They had the Wild Card in the palm of their hand. And blew it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cincinnati, Ohio thanks you. un-honking-believable !!!
Heck yea!! GO CINCY😁
On the 50th anniversary of the greatest team in MLB history playing in the most memorable World Series in history the Cincinnati Reds back their way in to the 2025 MLB playoffs. Baseball these days just doesn't feel the same.
I knew this Reds team would do well before the season started. They barely scraped by but it feels like they finally have all the pieces to be a really competitive team.
Good for the Big Red Hitting Machine!
Most of these will probably come from the o’s game
Ya go reds lol Mets
Good job, Reds! You guys wanted the win more than the LoLs.
poor mets
As a Mets fan, congrats. Y'all wanted it way more.
Congrats to the Reds..longtime fan since Big Red Machine
If Marte didn’t rob that homer, the reds are likely not in the postseason.
What a season!! Let's go Red Legs!
Keep that Red river flowing into the playoffs!
Hope to see ya in the NLDS!
Forgive my ignorance, but I don't understand why the Reds qualified if they finished with the same record as the Mets. In the AL, the Tigers qualified if they finished with the same record as the Astros. I don't understand. Forgive my ignorance.
Lmao Mets spent all that money for nothing
The same year MLB decided to lift the ban on Pete, we make the playoffs. #YouCantKillUs
I have always been cool with the marlins, now I’m a fan of theirs lol
Now you face Yamamoto, Snell, Ohtani, and Glasnow in the first round
First playoff appearance for the Cincinatti Reds since 2013
Imagine the final World Series game coming down to being between the Guardians and Reds.
That is PERFECTLY possible and could happen.
THANK YOU MARLINSSSS❤
Let's make it an all-ohio world series!! Congrats reds!
These young Reds have nothing to lose
Starting off with a McLain home run, as if we're supposed to believe that is something that happened.
Next stop L.A. lets go reds
We F***ing on the Reds bed tonight!
Both Ohio teams made the playoffs. Wow
What a roller coaster of a season. Let's keep it going!
All hands on deck, guys! I never liked leaving our fate in another team's hands, we should be able to handle our own business & our clinching shouldn't depend on another team's failure. Thinking it was over when we were swept by the A's, my Reds dug in with Marte's clutch home run stealing catch versus the Pirates the icing on the cake. We're hungry & we want our piece! Folks, we are in the 'Tito Effect' era. Just going to enjoy it while I can…
believe
La Cocoooooooooo
Go Reds!!!!
First round knockout
This is the first time the Reds have reached the postseason since the pandemic-shortened 2020 season. They last reached the playoffs after a 162-game season in 2013 and have not advanced since sweeping the Dodgers in the NL Division Series in 1995. Up next is a trip to Los Angeles for Game 1 of the best-of-three NL Wild Card Series vs. the NL West champion Dodgers.
This is only the sixth time the #Reds are a playoff team in my life (1995, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2020, and 2025).
Stadium attendance is so bad for a team who made it to the playoffs,
The Reds deserve more Love from Cincinnati.
This city really needed this. Let's go
good video, would've liked to see burns and stewart tho
GO REDS
