  11. Agreed. The Met fans thought they were already champions because you signed the Dominican Whore, but they forgot one thing. They’re still the Mets. It doesn’t matter who owns the team, who you sign as free agents, or even if they win a title. They will ALWAYS be second fiddle to the most successful franchise in the history of American sports. They shouldn’t worry about being the “big brother” because that will take generations of winning, if ever. They should just worry about being a good franchise and becoming a perennial contender in the NL East.

  13. Mets have were not used to having high expectations. The teams at the top Yankees, dodgers, Astros (not this year) Sox face tons and tons criticism when they underperform. Mets wanted to be Big Brother but get very defensive when held to that standard

    Also did Kay forgot about Otahni? He was def the best “free agent” of all time

    – Did you think that the unloadings would leave with the regular season? NO! I expect a fierce barrages of load during the playoffs, as the Yankees themselves unload don their playoff opponents
    – No shakeups at the top, but the list grows longer. I’m classifying this instance under “Mets Fans” since the original might be too wordy. After all, Michaels loads should be easy to digest

  33. This is embarrassing. I get that he needs time to fill but he’s a professional broadcaster and he’s getting into the weeds with trolls? Don’t read the tweets Kay! Half of them are probably bots! Be better. Especially because Soto is going to be there for a long time and the Mets aren’t going anywhere so they’ll probably make you eat your words.
