Mic’d Up: John Mozeliak’s Final Games | St. Louis Cardinals
I’m going to miss you. Thank you. No, that’s real talk. I mean, I’ve known you from day one. Here we go. Here at the ballpark and it’s our final home game of the year and the final home game for the president of baseball operations, John Mo. [Music] See you up there, Vucci. How are you? Thank you. How are you? First of all, congratulations on an incredible career and uh thank you for everything you’ve done for this organization and certainly for the city of St. Louis. Well, thank you. It’s uh obviously mixed emotions. Uh I I think back to those 30 years, all the ups and downs and and uh I just know how lucky I am. That’s a good dude. [Applause] Did you play? Actually, that’s pretty good. Daddy always love those hats. Holiday. So, I’m going straight to the dwitz though. Yes. [Music] Are you really going to retire? Yes. I’m out. Thank you. Got less than us. Really? They they seem loud. Yeah. Well, it’s a tough crowd, boys. So, we’ve determined that if you prep any walk out with a David Freeze walk up series going on, that helps. You’re known for wins and losses, right? But I think what I hope people understand is it’s it’s much more than that. It’s really about relationships. It’s about the people. But when I look back at it, I think that’s my my favorite part is all the people I’ve gotten to meet, gotten to know, and a lot of them I call them friends. I know you can’t show any kind of kindness to me, but I do have that for you. Thanks very much. Oh, thanks so much. No money. Okay. Now, I’m going to cry. You’re a former batting practice pitcher and you’re going to throw out the first pitch today. You you still remember how to do that? Uh, not really. Um, there’s a lot of things I did 30 years ago I probably can’t replicate, but uh, you know, I I hope I don’t embarrass myself, but we’ll find out. It’s going to hurt. Make sure you get it. That’s the goal. Got to get I love the advice. I can get it there if I stand 20 ft. Yeah, I don’t care where you stand. Yeah, I could definitely do that. All right, brother. Oh, you came to make fun of me, huh? [Music] Yeah, just in case. John Mojo baseball operations. Good memories. Oh, I’m fine. I like awkward. Please join us one final time including one of the best this organization has ever had. John [Applause] kind of high. There you go, bro. All right, let’s hit it. Thank you. Oh, thank you. You are awesome. Cheers. Thank you for everything. I can’t thank you enough for what you meant to me in my career. Some days are better than others, but uh you’ve always been a constant professional, and I thank you for that, and I wish you nothing but the best for you and your family. Thank you, Mike. Appreciate it. Good luck. That’s real talk. [Music]

What I'm sorry for is all those empty seats behind you.
Bye Mo you won’t be missed and neither will all your BS🖕
You won't be missed bum!!!!
Things didn't go how we wanted the last few years but we were still lucky to have him
Good riddance
Seeing this side of Mozeliak is nice. It is different from what we normally see. It humanizes him more and can make me feel for him. I'm sure it has not been easy for him to walk out to a bunch of people boo'ing him and cursing his name.
John Mozeliak, you will ALWAYS have my support! #12in26 #STLFLY
Thanks for what you did Mo. Bloom, time to build a team with a direction.
Cards fan since 1985. 7 years old for Halloween I was Jack Clark for Halloween . From 1988 to 1995 the cards were baaaaaad! Walt Jockety and John Mozeliak brought back the cardinals that won and played hard, brought mark mcgwire, Tony larussa, Matt Holliday, Edgar renteria, bright Willie McGee back to St. Louis, all the players that helped the cards win in 2006 and 2011. All those pennants and division titles and wild card wins!! Thank you John for the long hours on the phone and all the deals you made to make the cardinals what they are!
The next chapter of Chaim Bloom will take time to build and I cannot wait!
Did know Mo was a lefty.
Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.
You mean until they re-tital him, AGAIN! C’mon man!
Man it's sad having those seats empty after giving the fans low hanging fruit for most of his years. However, the Cardinals in the playoff mix somehow under Moe. Love him or hate him, he's going to have a red jacket. So he did tons better than most GM's, and worse than some.
