🚨FIRE BRIAN CALLAHAN! Tennessee Titans OVERREACTION Monday After Blowout Loss vs. Texans

[Music] The overreaction Monday videos are going to start getting very, very repetitive after every single Titans loss and just how ugly they are. Welcome into Titans Today by Chat Sports. I am your host Brett Alper and I think me, every single Titans reporter, every single Titans fan is asking this question. How is Brian Callahan still employed and still the head coach of the Tennessee Titans? Even Paul Kaharski tweeted out this morning, no changes expected at the coaching staff because everybody has that question. So I’ll ask you guys this question. 0 and4 a ugly ugly ugly loss to the Houston Texans. It was 6 nothing in the fourth quarter. But how much do you want Brian Callahan fired? Because honestly, you could fire the head coach. The team is still pretty bad, but you need to at least get some changes in there cuz it feels like he’s lost the locker room. Go down in the comments section right now and scale it from 1 to 10. For me, it’s gone long. It’s gone on long enough. It’s time. You have to make a change. And we said I said it back in the off season. Hey, he’s on the hot seat. He’s going to have to at least be competitive. And I’m not saying go out there and win games. Well, obviously you want to win the games, but just go out and compete. Look like a better team than you did last season. And last season they were the worst team in the NFL. And this year, I came in and thought the Saints were the worst team in the NFL, but now it seems like the Titans might be still the worst team in the NFL. I mean, a 26 nothing loss. Cam Ward, you can see those stats right there. 10 for 26, 108 yards and an interception. CJ Strad figured it out. This was what the Texans were considering a get-right game for this team cuz they were 0 and3. They were thinking that it was a dumpster fire. And the Titans were like, “Well, you’re playing a dumpster fire.” Well, all the fans were probably like, “Hey, maybe you have a chance. Maybe you have a chance.” But no, you lose another one. And it feels like this is truly might be rock bottom for this Tennessee Titans team. This comes from Terresa Walker who covers the Titans and she tweeted this. Titans have lost 10 straight, matching their longest skid losing streak since leaving Texas for Tennessee in 1997. Since this team was basically a team, they’ve lost 10 straight to end the 2024 season under then coach Ken Wizenhunt. And current coach Brian Callahan is 3-8 after a 26 to nothing loss shutout in Houston. And it just looks ugly. It looked like the Titans never had a chance in that game. Cam Ward couldn’t get comfortable. He got sacked multiple times again and nothing is happening for this team. And then Brian Callahan goes to the podium and he just talks about it. I think it’s a reflection of all of us not doing our part well enough at this point. Excuse me. That’s players. That’s everybody. We haven’t found a way to win a game in a while. And that’s a reflection on all of us. And if you’re a player, how are you okay with this? You go into this game and you get beat up. And at this point, I think some of the players are just kind of, well, we’re losers. All right. Well, we’re used to just losing at this point. We’re not mad. We’re not upset. It’s just going game by game. Kim Ward said it best. They asked him. He said, “I’m going to keep it a buck with you. We ask.” That’s ex his exact quote. And the stats don’t lie either. The Titans offense is one of the worst in the NFL, if not the worst. Yards per game, dead last. Passing yards per game, dead last. Rushing yards per game, 32nd, 31, 30, 29th. Fourth worst. Points per game, dead last. And then third down, a little bit better, but you’re still second to last. And it doesn’t help that the offensive line is bad, but it’s just ruining Cam Ward. It’s not making him look good and it’s making him look like he’s going to be a bust when we know the talent that he has. This is the quarterback efficiency the first four weeks of the year. And if you’re in the top right corner, yeah, it’s good. It’s going good for Jordan Love. It’s going good for Sam Darnold, Jared Goff, all those guys, Josh Allen, even Daniel Jones. But then you look all the way in the bottom left corner, completion percentage above expectation, Cam Ward minus 10. and then all the way to EPA 03 in the negatives. It looks bad for him and there’s nothing he can do. His receivers aren’t catching the ball. His players aren’t doing anything. His offensive line isn’t doing anything and it’s only going to get worse before it gets better. JC Laam is hurt. Your defense is hurt. Your offense can’t do a thing. Calvin Ridley can’t catch the ball. He said he was getting he was hurt. I don’t know if that’s the truth, but whatever. Ta T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T Spears is eligible to come off IR this week. Do you really think that’s going to make much of a difference? No. So, the Titans, I think, have no choice, no choice whatsoever, just to fire Brian Callahan kind of at the end of the year, clean house, figure it the hell out because it’s not working right now. And if you keep them on, you already got rid of the play callers or hit the play calling duties. Gave it to Bo Hardigree. Didn’t work out. You kind of just have to fire the coach at this point. So that’s that because I don’t know when you’re going to get a win. Is the Titans season over? Obviously the playoffs. You’re not mathematically eliminated, but it feels like it’s kind of over, doesn’t it? It really, really does. Go down in the comments section right now. Give me a Y for a yes or give me an N for no coming up. Got a bunch more overreactions after Sunday’s loss. There was pretty much one good thing that I saw and I’ll get into that. But first, I got to tell you about our sponsor of today’s show, and that is prize picks. You and I make decisions every day, but on prize picks, being right can get you paid. Don’t miss any of the excitement this season on Prize Picks, where it’s good to be right. Prize Pix is simple to play. Just pick more or less on two to six player stat projections. If you get your picks right, you can cash in. And a new feature, you can follow other prized picks players directly on the app and copy their lineups in one click. Whether it’s a friend, a celebrity partner, or just someone whose pics you like, hit the follow button and check out every lineup they create in the new feed tab on prize pick. This is the lineup that I have for Monday Night Football. And I think Garrett Wilson might go off a little bit. There’s a double header. I got the more on receiving yards. Then Bo Knicks, he hasn’t been so hot. I’m going to go with the less on 224 and a half passing yards. And then JK Dobbins, the more for 65 and a half rushing yards. You can download the app today and make a lineup just like that one when you use code CLNS and use get $50 in lineups after you play your first $5 lineup. That’s code CLNS to get $50 in lineups after you play your first $5 lineup. Prize picks. It’s good to be right. All right, my uh first overreaction, trade everybody. I think you traded Jarvis Brownley Jr. which was a problem because he was a good player and now he’s with the Jets and we’ll see how he is. He’s inactive for tonight’s game, but we’ll see how he is next week. But I think that was a dumb trade and that’s kind of foreshadowing that maybe it’s time for an absolute fire sale. Get rid of everybody that is decent, that’s good, and get some capital for it. And who’s the one guy that I think could get real good capital? The best player on your team, and that’s Jeffrey Simmons. You’re letting him rot in the prime years of his career. And this is what he has done this season. 14 tackles at defensive tackle, which is really impressive. five tackles for loss, two sacks, and I’m pretty sure he’s second in the NFL in pressures right now. He has a 90 PFF pass rushing grade. He is playing great. He is the one person that looked really good yesterday against Houston. He broke through the line. Got to see CJ Stout in a sack. It was awesome to see. And the Titans could get a lot of draft capital for Simmons. And the Ravens, they just lost one of their star defensive tackles for the season. So they could look for a trade. And who should they call up? They should call up Jeffrey Simmons. If the Eagles, if Howie Roseman wants to call someone up and say, “Hey, we need somebody.” You can call up Nami Ma Mabuk. I think that’s how you name. He was the Ravens defensive tackle. He’s out for the year with a neck injury. You could get a lot of capital. First round draft pick, maybe even a second round draft pick. You could get something for Simmons. So maybe put him on the trade block at some point. The second one, I don’t know if this is super overreaction, but it’s kind of the question that you wanna ask yourself. Should you bench Cam Ward? And it’s not because he’s bad. I’m not calling him a bust. I’m not calling him a non-talented player, but everything around him is terrible. And the stats, they don’t lie. 51% completion percentage, 614 yards, two touchdowns, two interceptions. The QB rating is awful. The offensive line is terrible. Your wide receivers can’t catch the ball. You just can’t do a single thing. Cam Ward is getting out there. The second he snaps the ball, he’s running for his life. Offensive line not doing any favors. The play calling is not doing any favors. And it’s kind of hurting him, his confidence. I mean, if you look at the pass blocking grades for everybody this season and you see JC Laam not there because yeah, Peter Scronsky is having a great game or great year. Everybody else though, it’s kind of like, all right, well, we’re just going to try our best. Try our best. Cam Ward has been sacked 17 times this year, and some of them is his fault. Some of them he’s holding the ball a little too long. He’s on pace for to be sacked 72 times. 72. That’ll be I think second most. The most is Derek Carr back in 2002 with the Houston Texans when they became an expansion team. That’s the most. And on pace at this point, Cam Ward could go for 80. You got to make some questions like, hey, do we really want to ruin our rookie confidence, but do you want to just take him out? I don’t know. But it does not look good for Cam Ward right now. And it’s kind of what is around him. And the last overreaction, I’m just asking the question, where the hell is that first win going to come? When is it going to come? Cuz if you look at the schedule and you had your first four games of the year, the Broncos, Rams, Colts, Texans, you lost them all. Then you have the Cardinals, Raiders. So, you play the Cardinals next week, you have the Raiders, you have the Patriots, and they just came off a blowout, and who knows what Frabel is going to want to do to this team. Then the Colts, I’m going to put that as a loss in Indie. But then you go to the back half of the year, the Chargers, that’s probably a loss. The Texans, maybe Seahawks, Jags, Browns, Niners, Chiefs, Saints, Jags. week 14, week 17, I don’t know. I mean, the Browns, the Saints, the Raiders. Which team could the Titans make a comeback at? What is the team that could surprise them? It’s go like, that’s the question you have to have. But I also say this is the NFL. Yesterday, the Giants beat the Chargers. A week ago, the Browns beat the Packers. Everything can anything can happen in the National Football League. And the Titans will get a win. I don’t think they’re going 0 and 17, but you have to ask yourself when are they getting that win? When is it going to happen? Who is it going to be against? Because this team is might be one of the worst in one of the worst. Go and predict the Titans record for me down in the comments section. Already 0 and4. What do they think? What do you think they finish at? Go down right now. It’s disappointing this season to start Cam Ward. I was looking forward to watching a lot because you’ve seen the potential, you’ve seen the talent with him and hopefully they can get back on track by the end of this season. But we got you here. We’re still getting keeping you covered almost every single day. So make sure you hit that sub button and as always, tighten up. [Music]

  1. Because it’s very Simple Amy gets a lot of heat from firing to early, she doesn’t want to do that anymore.. And do you honestly believe she wants to be humiliated by New England Cali will be gone by then..

  2. I will not watch another titan game with him coach. Apparently they do not care that we spend our hard earned money on this team. They should be ashamed of building a new stadium

  3. i dunno man i hope we can do something but i have been here before it seems like and im gonna continue supporting my team because goonies never say die and i might be a little delusional LOL

  4. You know who they should get? Eddie George. Coached at TSU and is currently coaching Bowling green. He doesn’t have the coaching pedigree of a Belichick, but he knows the NFL, knows the team, the owners, he’s loved by fans , respected by players and most importantly, he literally can’t do any worse than Callahan, but he’d make me watch again, and they could get rid of him at the end of this season if he was bad. But man, if your lucky enough to have e your whole job be football, you make millions of dollars , and you don’t know the rules to the only thing you have to do? What’s that say about who is keeping him employed

  5. How fucking dumb and clueless is Amy Adams Seastrunk for still letting Brian Callahan coach despite the Titans fans crying out for Brain Callahan to be fired. Poor Will Levis got 99% of the blame for the Titans losing when all along it eas Brian Callahan who is a inept abomination and the real reason why the Titans are losing

  6. The NFL needs to force Amy Adams Seastrunk to sell the team. The Titans fans are being held hostage by Amy Adams ignorant incompetence. What the fuck will it take for Brian Callahan to be fired? Enough is Enough
