I bet you didn’t feel that way when Slye nailed everyone leading up to the colts game.
Edit: Every kick. Too funny to edit out
Fuck it Slye was the man until he wasn’t. Problem isn’t kicker we have what 2 TDs in 4 games and we wanna complain about kickers.
Its the titans. If they are good we get rid of them
I mean kicker is one of the most volatile positions in the league, kickers will inexplicably start/stop kicking good, i mean koo was an elite kicker for 2 years and then out of nowhere flatlined. Same with butker, you just cant predict some of these things
Folk was 100% accurate within 55 yards last season, I don’t remember him missing anything. You don’t trade consistency for the “chance” Slye hits a 60+ yarder
Titans fans and former players name a better duo
Two field goals weren’t going to win us the game anyways.
Out of all the issues, this isn’t really one that tugs my nuggets.
He was going to be not great by the time the team is ready to not be a shitshow. Almost nobody stays good in any major sport very long after 40. It is downhill at that age, when competing with the best in the world. (I’m just about 40, and that sounds weird to think of myself as an old guy)
Better to get rid of a player a year or two too early than too late.
But kicker is the least concerning part of this franchise’s crappiness.
I don’t give a shit who our kicker is with all the problems we have right now lol. There’s a reason Slye has been on 6 different teams in 6 years.
I called it during the Colts game.. those 2 missed 60 yarders would give him the yips… if he’s not forced to take those kicks, he’s not missing anything against Texans
Who cares about a fucking kicker we stink
Slye is fine. Off game. Move on
You people are so emotional about every little thing it’s embarrassing
Would those 6 points have mattered?
One of the issues, even under Vrabel….settling for 3…when we need 6.
Dan Campbell has set the bar on his team….we go for 6….and not settle or play for 3 points. Dan’s inside the 30….naw fuck that we want a TD and the 2 points.
The team’s last few years have settled for 3….and hopes to get lucky by a rushing TD or random 10-yard screen pass that goes for 40.
BC sent him out to kick a 64 and a 62 yard Fg for the fuck of it. You don’t do that to a kicker.
Did y’all forget Folk ended the year hurt missing like 2/3 games?
Signing a 40 year old injured kicker is not generally a smart move.
It’s the “Titan way”
Once 6 points matters in the final score then we can worry about our kicker. If something is better out there get him but its probably not going to move the needle this year
I never liked this move. A lot of talk about how he wasn’t great from 50+ but he did great here. Yeah he couldn’t hit a 60+ yarder, but sly is a career 80% guy with known accuracy issues. All it took was one long miss and he clearly has the yips.
Sometimes I work in fine dining as a side job, I’m a pro, level 2 somm all that shit. I never take management jobs because how wasteful the changeover becomes, at first they invest in you, almost too much then they ask where u are on you time off
