I see basically everyone demanding Zac's job this season and anytime we have a bad loss. Tonight seemed worse than usual specifically on his end, so the question is:

Realistically will Zac be fired this season?

Who would replace Zac if he is fired?

  6. No. The answer is no. He can cry that Joe got hurt. Even though the team gives up first sign of hardship. Sloppy in all 3 phases. That’s a direct reflection of leadership. He should get fired but they won’t do it

  10. No. Because Mike brown treats this team as his business and not as a football team he wants to win. He sees it as expensive to build a competitive team front office and out, we know this.

    Zac being fired should happen, but is a band-aid of a fix. The entire front office and scouting department needs to be canned and rebuilt. This team needs to be modernized, but that is expensive and hard so it won’t happen.

    We’ll slap some other poor schmuck with Duke Tobin and his band of losers and will get the same result. This team is rotten from the front office out

  13. He needs to be. Defense has held well and is just straight exhausted with how little the offense is producing. Taylor doesn’t have the offensive mind for today. He’s got a 2019 brain and we’re in a resurgence of the run game which is just does not care about.

  17. With the way this ownership operates it won’t happen until after the season. This looks like 2019 all over again and no one is coming to save the day. This team looks checked out with the way they played tonight. Once that one huge Burrow card fell the rest of the house of cards crashed and burned. We’re in for a rebuild but sadly the people doing the rebuilding are still going to be Duke Katie and Troy.

  20. This guy is a straight up loser. Been riding Burrows coattails. Has 0 accountability and is completely out of his league. He wouldn’t even get a HC job on a college program if he’s fired.

  24. I don’t think he’ll be fired, it’s really not all that likely he keeps his job once his contract is up though. Especially if we miss the playoffs both this season and next season. Zac can’t prep a team for the regular season like Marvin could and I can never see Zac going 4-0 despite having such incredible talent on this team. Losing Burrow shouldn’t mean this team sucks this much ass, I really don’t see Zac surviving past 26 unless we pull off some miracle run next year which, while possible, I’m not holding my breath for.

    So just hold on. We’re still 2-2. In a game where we gave Denver like a billion possessions, we only gave up 4 scores.

    Do I think he will get fired at the end of the year? Yeah, this time I think he might. Mike Brown doesn’t need to not be cheap to go get a coach and really doesn’t need to not be cheap to move on from Taylor. His contract is through 2026, that’s a lame duck season pretty much everywhere but here.. usually.

    He *will* get the season to try to fix it, but if it’s not significantly better than this for three months, it’s going to go beyond just “Burrow got hurt” and into “this guy’s offense is just really fucking bad. You shouldn’t need Joe Burrow for this offense to be at least productive.”

  29. I think the smart move is to finish the season with him fire him in the off season with the thought that they’ll have a better idea of which head coaching candidates will be available

    However… since the front office will never shell out the cash for one of the premier candidates anyways we might as well fire him now. As for who they hire to replace him? I dunno probably some stupid choice like a position coach from a d3 school because he had the lowest salary demand.

  31. Are we really doing this for 14 more weeks? Zac Taylor is not getting fired this season. If he gets let go it will be at the end of his contract.

  32. He may but not until after the season. Mike won’t pay him to not coach. I mean think about it. Would Zach get hired as another head coach or even OC for another team? We all know the answer and so how can that be your guy?

  36. two things that come to mind after this game.

    1. i think if Burrow was on KC, he would have won as many SB’s as Mahomes, and probably more, because he doesn’t need an OL.

    2. Zac without Burrow, is DEN after they lost Manning. they had like a lost decade until Payton/Nix came back where they were just not competitive at all.

    I said it back in 21 after i saw the shield steal a SB from you guys. there are cities that they want to win the SB, CIN/BAL are not those cities, so you have to take it from them, even when they don’t want you to have it. You have a QB that can do it. i said then you don’t have a HC that can do that, and since i don’t follow CIN, i had no idea about your org, but your GM is preventing it too.

    9 is literally erasing every mistake this coaching staff and front office make. it reminds me of what Manning was doing with Elways bad GM moves or TB12 with Belichick’s bad drafts. a great QB is the great eraser. and 9 is one helluva eraser.

    You guys are just not the same team without him. It’s actually crazy to see. I said it as soon as I heard he was injured, the league is not good without him playing. as a BAL fan, i wish 9 was in a different division, so i could really enjoy watching 9. either way, speedy recovery to him.

  37. This team prefers to have as little talent as possible in all facets of the franchise. I’m more convicted of that with every season. It saves them money, because they don’t have to sign on to huge contracts. I’m unconvinced that ownership considers Joe Burrow a good thing because of his price tag, seeing how they let him go unprotected year in and year out.

  38. if we’re lucky he gets canned after this season and we get Joe Brady from the Bills. If we’re unlucky, he at minimum finishes out his contract which lasts through the 2026-27 season

  39. Pretty sure Zac just called another 50/50 toss up down the sideline by Jake Browning on 3rd and 2.

  40. Mike Brown gave Marvin Lewis nearly 20 years and all he did was go 0-7 in the playoffs.

    How do you think he’ll reward ZT for taking them to a Superbowl? Get used to it, dip shit Zac attack isn’t going anywhere.

  41. Unfortunately no. I see 2-3 years more of Zac Taylor. The Owners of the Bengals are not football fans. Mediocre is still a 1/32 revenue split.

  42. Ugh idk but he’s making me sooo mad. I just don’t get it. But all those penalties?! I couldn’t watch it. Glad I didn’t. I get bummed seeing their faces. And Zac just sounds like Marvin Lewis. Idk who would replace him but I’d love for someone to.
