Interesting, Legault and Smith still in. And I dont think Suzuki will make it through waivers.
Tbh I’m surprised Labanc was released
Im surprised they didn’t keep Nadeau for the last preseason game at least
Im glad Smith made it through. Kid has heart and skates hard so I respect him fighting for his spot.
On the subject of bradly nadeau, I totally understand the excitement and desire to see him in Raleigh sooner rather than later. I’ve heard some posts about the frustration with too many back end vets being in the way of Nadeau finding a spot on the roster. Vets that were signed to add size and toughness, which was a big need.
The big question is: what’s the rush for Nadeau to be in Raleigh? He just turned 20 in May. I’d imagine he’ll work his way in naturally over the season due to injuries, etc.
Pretty happy to see Ryabkin going to the Wolves and Labanc might be going for a NHL role which he wouldn’t get in Carolina. I do have a bit of a bad feeling one or more of waivers might get picked though.
Smith is a good guy to keep around
not surprised but bummed they cut Labanc, hopefully they can sign him to a 2-way and he can play on the wolves top line
i had a feeling they would keep Smith in the former-brenden-lemieux role of 13th forward they can keep in the press box but plug in for extra physicality if needed
Nadeau needs minutes, and he wont get them in raleigh until there’s an injury or something, so as much as the kid belongs in the show, im ok sending him down to keep him playing
Interesting both Jarvis AND Stank are listed and centers on the roster.
