[Schefter] In addition to dislocating his knee, Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill also tore multiple ligaments in his knee, including his ACL, per sources. Hill remains hospitalized and will undergo surgery today.

  1. Honestly at his age this could be a the end of his NFL career. Hope he invests his money right, he got a lot of kids mouths to feed.

  2. I find the smug commentariat responses odd not because you have to care about tyreek but because this is 100% downside for the kids in every way

  3. It’s really similar to the Tank Dell injury that we saw at Arrowhead last year or the Bridgewater injury (although that one was more severe). His knee twisted sideways and tore the ligaments that supported it.

Dell is apparently already running sprints thanks to rehab and modern medicine, but he’s also six years younger than Reek. Tyreek will play again, just not for the Dolphins, and probably as a possession/Juju-type of receiver.

  4. I was arguing with someone yesterday who said a knee dislocation is somehow better than a broken leg because it’s just soft tissues that will heal.

    Yeah, no

This is a potentially career ending injury for the cheetah.

A clean break that doesn’t go through the skin will heal completely in a matter of weeks.  Any fully torn ligament or tendon is going to take months to a take months to a year to heal and requires surgery

Impossible to say how he will recover from this but I think it’s safe to say his career in Miami is in major jeopardy.  He was on the last year of his guaranteed money.  His cap hit next year is something insane like 52 million dollars.  They save more than 25 by cutting him.  And he has a couple void years already on his deal so Miami is going to be paying for tyreek at least two years regardless

Even healthy he was likely to be cut or traded unless he signed a new contract to lower his cap hit. Now he’s untradeable.

Tyreek to the Chiefs in 2026?  That’s going to hit a couple times on sports media today

  5. I don’t celebrate injuries, but I’m glad this will shut the older folks in my family up. Every darn week “I hope we trade for tyreek” it’s so bothersome

  6. This very well could be the last time we saw him playing, a terrible end for a HOF WR.

Will always be fond of him, we don’t win our win chip without him.

  7. Not only is that a season ender but I think that might bring his career to a close too.

You don’t exactly maintain your explosiveness after an injury like that

  8. Yeah that sucks. Speed WR now 31 and just suffered a pretty devastating injury like that with all that going on, could be the last of him as we’re used to seeing him as that guy.

  9. I just hope this doesn’t affect his D game. That would be devastating to the birth rate in Miami.

  10. Even just the thought of an injury this bad (without seeing any pics) makes me really nauseated. I can handle blood but joints going the wrong way, ~:(

  11. How healthy does the knee need to be to start doing porn since that’s his next career?

  12. Really really terrible, even if he is a terrible person. I have to imagine he’ll try to come back and that someone would offer him some sort of contract, but he definitely won’t be the same.

  13. Watching the tackle, what the hell was the defender doing? I get it really just bad luck but hell looks terrible.

  14. This hurts our chances of trading for him. In all seriousness hope he recovers, think the guys a scumbag but don’t want to see him crippled the rest of his life

  15. I don’t wish bad things on anyone – I hope his surgery is successful and his recovery goes well. With that said – at least we can move on from the Hill trade possibility posts and comments. He isn’t (and wasn’t) needed.

    Go Chiefs!
