Aaron Rodgers ranked 37th out of 38 QBs according to PFF, how is this even possible?

They judge players based on arbitrary and subjective criteria in a vacuum where the point of football – to win the game against the team you’re going up against – is somehow irrelevant.
Well here’s the thing about efficiency and not running the ball and good defensive play. Your not scoring top tier fantasy points.
PFF grades and rankings are highly scientific metrics which combine stats, advanced analytics, personal bias, and randomly pulling names out of a hat.
PFF is biased and has a terrible way of ranking players. I cringe any time people use it as a positive statistic for a players performance. If you want to see something funny look how they rank Cornerbacks.
They treat west coast qbs like 3rd string backups
I cracked up week 1 when qbr somehow gave him a rating below 70 when he completed a high percentage of his passes and threw 4 touchdown passes. Lol
Because PFF.
I would say it is because of PFF…
PFF decides the rankings first, then picks the data that supports it
PFF is pure garbage
anyone know who owns PFF?
It’s the depth of target to be honest, PFF isn’t great for quarterbacks because it’s system dependent
We still post about PFF here?
We do not care
Why do we care about the PFF again? This post should have never been submitted.
I mean
He ain’t lighting up the league, hes just competent. It’s just been so ling since we’ve had competent qb play, especially a guy with the leadership Throw Rogan seems to have
3-1 with him being a positive factor is the only ranking we should care about my friend.
Why would anyone use Chris Collinsworth’s website or anything of his? Here’s a guyyyyy who makes shit up and intentionally incites rage for clicks.
Who cares what the rankings or metrics say.. as long as we keep on winning and stay healthy is all that should be priority
It’s right up there with Steelers will be ranked 20 in the league somehow too.
Fortunately, none of these rankings affect anything in the real world.
PFF=Shit!!!
Winning is the only metric we should care about.
I pay no mind to PFF. I use my eyes.
The QBR rating is such a stupid stat that legit makes zero sense. The old QB rating, to me, makes way more sense.
Fake stats with no measurable intangible impacts
Honestly, the only stat that matters is wins. If the Steelers keep winning with him under center, I could care less about any of this!
Pff has Zero credibility. These same people have Marcus Mariota as the #1 QB lmfao.
I’d love to hear why Joe Flacco is rated 7 higher than Rodgers. Almost every single possession for the browns is punt, fumble, or interception
It’s cause PFF is a joke
PFF is comprised of trolls.
My team used to have this really good QB, even better than the guy you have now. I think this dude won like four MVPs or something wild like that.
Anyways, even then, his PPF rankings were middling at best. Ignore that garbage stat.
Any company that Chris collinsworth is part of is automatically a shit company. Ignore them
Engagement bait. Nothing more, nothing less
Because if you take the fandom away, what Rodgers did wasn’t anything special. It was all short, quick passing. Which is fine, that’s what he is now, that’s why he was a free agent.
Nate Silver’s new metric Qbert has Rodgers squarely in the middle of the pack of QBs as of week 3. At midday we’ll get an update on how all QBs perform
It sounds like they are saying we are winning in spite of him but it’s hard to argue what he’s done for us even at that age. This team relies heavily on an intelligent decision maker at QB and I think it can be argued that he is the most football intelligent QB in the league.
They don’t trust the Oline in pass setting that much, so they’re doing a super amount of quick throws. It looks a lot like a Starter running a Backup’s offense on a lot of plays. That’s probably the answer.
He wasn’t even second-worst in *the AFC North*.
You think that’s bad! They had TJ Watt as the third worst defender
PFF grades are inherently flawed and there’s no real way around it. For PFF grades to be actually accurate and effective, it would take cooperation from every NFL team and a ton of time because you HAVE to know what each player’s job and responsibilities were on any given play to “score” them appropriately.
PFF also has this bad habit of giving poor ratings for the player who takes advantage of mistakes by their opponents. To them it seems it’s only a good play if a good player outplayed a good player doing the right thing (or so they think).
PFF is essentially making thousands of semi-educated guesses and then creating a scoring system off of those guesses. Some plays are pretty clear to see what happened but the vast majority requires them to guess at what was supposed to happen and giving grades accordingly. That’s not even taking into account other biases so it is a supremely flawed system that by definition can NEVER be accurate.
If they were to factor in the standing behind the play like he’s Obi Wan, then he’d be 1st in PFF.
Rodgers is getting dinged by PFF for throwing a lot of short passes. PFF rewards downfield passing: their grading system gives higher positive grades for more difficult throws, especially those that travel further downfield and are well-placed — even if the pass is dropped. Short passes can be neutral or even negative. Routine checkdowns, screens, or quick outs that don’t challenge the defense (in theory) typically earn neutral grades, even when effective (in practice). Rodgers’ PFF grade could suffer if his short passing is deemed to reflect missed downfield opportunities or even a lack of aggression. PFF scoring is very subjective.
PFF is dumb and things of that nature.
and once again, picking the pittsburgh team in the sports videogame comes with woefully lowballed player stat ratings
You guys are glazing him so hard. He had 1 good game he is 4/3 the past 3 games…. he has two games over 200 yards 244/203. The defense has won 3 games for us, like always.
PFF is generally pretty terrible. The only thing I feel like they’re kinda right on is offensive line.
Does this rating heavily rely on youth as a factor?
