Kellen Moore & The New Orleans Saints Pulled Off HIGHWAY ROBBERY!

[Music] The Saints pulled off Highway Robbery. One of my favorite segments we do here at Saints Now by Chat Sports. I’m going to discuss the absolute steal the New Orleans Saints got in the draft. And that is none other than rookie safety Yonas Sanker. I’ve been so impressed with his emergence in the National Football League. I think he is going to be a huge factor for this defense moving forward. And I want you to start off this show by getting in the comments section. Describe Yonas Sanker in three words or less. I’m going to do it in one dog. D A WG dog. Number 33 is a dog in my book. And I want you to sound off. You get three words. I only needed one. It’s your turn. Highway robbery for Yonas Sanker. Guys, this player, I’m so excited that he’s a part of our team. For what it’s worth, got to give a shout out to Virginia. Hell of a weekend for Virginia football fans. Well, Virginia college football fans specifically. Um, he was drafted in the third round, number 93rd overall by the New Orleans Saints. And I was really excited about this addition because he was a player who was praised for being a very rangy, very versatile, very physical player who you can line up anywhere on the field. And we’re going to go through some numbers in this video and you’re going to see that he is actually living up exactly to that in college. An extremely extremely effective, impactful, productive, and proven player. He led the ACC in solo tackles in 23 and 24. I think that this guy was set up for success in New Orleans, and I’m so excited to see him finally get some reps in in 2025 thus far, guys. Is passer rating allowed? It’s not a typo. 2.8. He’s given up one catch. He has an interception, three pass breakups, 16 tackles. This dude has a nose for the football. He is flying all over the field. He is somebody who is involved in every single play. And we got to give him a little bit more credit here because although the stats are like, “Yeah, that’s awesome. Good for him, man. That’s sick.” Well, how does he compare to the rest of the league? Pretty damn well. News flash. Uh Jonas Saker, don’t look. But he has the ninth highest overall PFF grade among all safeties in the National Football League and the fourth highest coverage grade. Steel. A steal in the third round. Ladies and gentlemen, that is what the New Orleans Saints did with this player. And a thing that we’ve been praising him a lot for was the versatility and the ability to line up all over the field. And you can see based off the snap alignment, he’s been getting very, very active on the Saints defense, but also in special teams as well, he’s contributing in punt and kick return, punt and kick off, field goals, and everything. Like, he is a player who is just a contributor. And at the end of the day, that is an awesome awesome sign from a third round pick. Again, he’s a top 100 selection, so you would hope that this would be a player that could have a big impact, and he certainly has. And in my opinion, we’re going to see more and more and more from Yonas Sanker. The future for this player is absolutely shining. It is so bright. I need to put on my shades over here because he is set up to have a great great future. I love that he is playing next to Justin Reed right now. Getting to learn from a quality veteran who’s seen a lot of successful football. He can learn from him. I also think that he is a guy who is going to be a huge huge asset as this team continues to take shape for Kell Moore’s team uh like roster. And so for Yonas Sanker, I’m excited to see that the breakout is happening. I’m excited to see how it continues to grow. And I’m really really eager to see his role evolve as he continues his development. I said that he was a dog. If you absolutely agree, if you think that this dude is a rock star and a steal and an absolute stud, I just need you to hit the thumbs up icon. If you agree with the statement, Jonas Jonas Jonas Sanker is a dog. I’m an idiot. It’s Jonas Sanker. If you agree that Yonas Sanker is a dog, hit the thumbs up icon and drop a like on this video. Now, we are definitely seeing the Jonas Anker breakout. Welcome to the National Football League. It’s like you got to get one of those oldtime graphics where it had welcome to the league or have a day and you have all the different things. Dude, bring those back. Those were Okay, fun fact, we should probably bring this back here to Chat Sports Studios. But anyway, long story short, we were seeing Yonas Sanker break out in a massive, massive way. And a big reason for that, it’s partially due to the Julian Blackman injury that happened in week one. And since Julian Blackman has been injured, Yonas Sanker has been thrusted into the starting role. You’ve seen Jordan Hen get rotated in as well. Terrell Burgess is also a guy who’s on the depth chart, too. So, for the safety room in New Orleans, originally was Justin Reed and Tyron Matthew, and then it was Justin Reed and uh Julian Blackman. Now, it’s Justin Reed, Yonas Sanker. Moving forward, will it be Jordan Howd and Yonas Sanker? Will it be Yoda Sanker, Justin Reed forever? Will Julian Blackman come back? Or will they look to draft somebody? We’re going to talk about all of that and then some here on the channel. But first things first, got to tell you about today’s presenting sponsor, and that is the best daily fantasy sports app here in the wide whole wide world. It’s Prize Picks. I absolutely love Prize Picks, and it’s my favorite way to test my ball knowledge because I make decisions every single day. You make decisions every single day, but Prize Pick is one of the only places that being right can actually get you paid. Price Pix is the only app that offers stacks, meaning you can pick the same player up to three times in the same lineup. What to pick more on Josh Allen’s pass yards, rush yards, and touchdowns. Now you can pick all of them in the same lineup only on Prize Picks. Follow other players directly on the app and copy their lineups in one click. Whether it’s a friend, a celebrity partner, or just someone whose picks you like. Hit the follow button and check out every lineup they create in the new feed tab on prize picks. For week five, Saints versus Giants. I’m just going for some touchdowns. For what it’s worth, you put down 20 bucks, this one will win you $120. Cam Scataboo finds the end zone. Feels like that’s going to happen. Chris Alav, we projected the more once. He scored a touchdown. We’re going to project the more again because we want to make some money here on Saints Now. We’re trying to project it into existence. So, let’s see Scataboo and Chris Olive find the end zone and let’s see your boy cash in on prize picks. Download the app today. Use code CLNS to get $50 in lineups after you play your first $5 lineup. Reminder, that’s code CLNS to get $50 in lineups after you play your first $5 lineup. All of that information is available in the comments and description of this show. Shout out to prize picks. It’s good to be right. Now, let’s look a little bit ahead here because there’s a conversation to be had. Jonas Sanker, my opinion, is the future of the safety room, but the Saints will also have a top draft pick. So, you have a conversation to be had. Do you go quarterback? Do you go wide receiver? Do you go lineman again? Do you go edge rusher? Do you go safety? So, let’s just kind of have the conversation. Reminder, the running mate for Yonas Sanker for the long term has not been decided yet. Justin Reed, I like him. I think he’s a good football player, but he’s not going to be here forever. So, the question you have to answer, who is his running mate? Jonas Anker’s the future. Is it going to be Jordan Hen? Or could you potentially use one of those top picks to maybe add the top defensive player in all of college football right now or arguably one of the top college football players and the consensus number one safety, Caleb DS, just going to go ahead and say this right now. If the New Orleans Saints are in a position one through three in the draft order and they do not love one of those quarterbacks, they’re not absolutely drop dead in love with one of those guys, which I think you should be if you want to take one of those players, maybe you look to trade out of the first overall, second overall, third overall pick, and you get Caleb DS a couple picks later. Maybe you just take Caleb DS with the third overall selection because the two quarterbacks you like were taken ahead of you. I think using a top pick on Caleb DS would be an excellent decision. I think that this defense with Yonas Sanker and Caleb DS being the safeties. Could you imagine that? Could you just close your eyes? Picture Yonas Sanker, Caleb DS leading this team on the defensive side of the football. It would be so so much fun. And I know that I’m looking ahead here and I know that we’re having a conversation way too early about what to do with a pick. And I still think that quarterback would make a lot of sense, but you got to find your running mate for Yonas Sanker because clearly he’s a guy that is going to be a part of this team moving forward. And I think that if you bring in another player to complement and play alongside him, not only does that open up Yonas Sanker’s opportunities, but also opens up better football for the defense as a whole. So, I would love to see Yonas Sanker get a little bit more help. I’d love to see him get a new running mate in the future. I’d also love to see him continue to break out. Where’s number 33? This whole video all about JS Yonasinker number 33. Gotta give him a lot of credit, man. First time getting an interception in the National Football League is on the former MVP. Not bad. That’s not bad. Got to give him a lot of credit there. Let’s get 33 subscribers on this video in honor of Yonas Sanker’s breakout so far. And let’s keep talking about this player. I want to just kind of rifle through four reasons why I love Yonas. There’s a plethora, but I’ve kind of narrowed it down to four. First one being he’s just an extremely productive player. I love that the New Orleans Saints drafted a player who is productive, who is proven, and he’s not a project. I like that they got a guy who they know could come in and make an impact pretty much immediately. I love that the Saints use a top 100 pick on an player and on somebody who’s making a very fast impact. He has a nose for the football. This guy is making plays every single chance he gets. If the ball is anywhere near him, he is he is making the play. If it’s not, he is in full sprint to go and make that play. He is somebody who is a heat-seeking missile. He’s a ball hawk and he’s a player I’m really really eager to see continue to grow. The versatility, the range he has, the athleticism he’s got. He is such a special player and I think that he’s a guy who provides a massive spark to the defense. He’s a young player who can be a physical guy, a tone setter, somebody who can provide that energy, and that jolt to the defense in times of need. And I think that that him being a young spark on this defensive squad is a really, really valuable thing. I’m so excited to see Yonas Sanker’s growth. I’m so excited to see him continue to be a part of my football team, and I hope you are too at home, ladies and gentlemen, because this guy right here is going to do some special things in the black and gold. Got a gut feeling about that one. Now, be sure to subscribe to the channel, but also hit me up on social media. I actually kind of talked about this, not in full detail, but in some detail earlier on my social media accounts and on the YouTube shorts page.
