Im gonna be honest im not a fan of him especially taking over for a legend like POP but I also don’t know him and know what he’s about so I’m gonna give him a chance show what he’s got and to me personally there’s no excuses bc this team from top to bottom is a playoff team(notice how I said playoff not play-in) especially if everyone stays healthy and he doesn’t over coach them to the point of where he’s coaching them out of the game instead of keeping them in the game I also wish they could’ve worked something out and brought back CP3 but I understand he wanted to be closer to his family as he’s gonna retire at seasons in, but it still would’ve been good to have him around as a veteran presence for his team because they don’t have much of it don’t get me wrong I like Barns, and Bismack and Fox bt even if he doesn’t play much his leadership around the team would be far more valuable

2. People forget this man has been in the spurs system for years 😭 goes to show they don’t know ball. I’m excited for this season just a taste of the future coming soon 🤭🤫

4. This is his real rookie season. Inheriting Pop's system overnight, not having a coaching staff around him, and losing Wemby and Fox are all huge hurdles that were unfair to ask him to navigate

7. With the core of Wemby-Fox-Castle-Harper-Bryant, the Spurs are the ones who will be winning many titles over the next 10 years. IF…and this is a big IF, their wussy head coach doesn't get in the way b/c the glory days of CIA Popovich and GMgr RC Buford are over.

8. If Carter Bryant is sent to the G-League, then wussy Mitch is an even worse hire to replace an alpha male GOAT coach like Pop than I originally stated. Sean Sweeney is a head coach-in-waiting. Can the coaching staff cover for Mitch? I'm thinking no. We will see.

9. Vassell and his bloated contract, and Keldon, are taking minutes away from Harper-Bryant. But can we find a team to take Vassell's contract like the Bulls took Zach Collins' contract last February?

11. So exited for Mitch. HE IS THE FUTURE OF NBA COACHING. Looking at what he did last year with the players that were out is inspiring. Every game even on losing streaks Mitch still got the best out of them. They competed the full 48 and that's all you can ask for. I'm with dig bick mitch

15. This guy is solid, he had a few questionable rotations last season but it seemed like they were just experimenting on what works after Wemby's injury. Excited to see what happens!
