On September 30, 2011, the Kings signed Drew Doughty to an eight-year, $56 million contract. In those eight years, Doughty won the Norris Trophy, two Olympic gold medals, led NHL defensemen in playoff scoring (2012, 2014), and won two Stanley Cup rings.
