Ravens could be 1-5 when he gets back

  1. I would imagine that even when he returns, his explosiveness will be diminished too. You hate to see a guy get injured, but you love to see that you might have a better chance of taking one or both of the games.

  2. Id rather play Lamar. I understand the playoff game last year, but historically he’s never played that well against us.

Personally hate to see anyone get injured and hope he heals up.

  3. Don’t ever laugh as the hearse goes by… it’s bad for the soul to celebrate another person’s misfortune and injury. Best of luck to Lamar – may he have a quick and speedy recovery.

  4. The league is better when Lamar is playing. Not glazing just saying. With that said, let’s go win this fuckin’ division boys.

  5. That’s normal for hamstring injuries. I said it the moment the broadcast said it was a hamstring injury that he will probably miss the Texans game and the Rams game and then return after the bye week. I imagine they will really want him to come back for the Rams game though. With all of the Ravens problems and injuries on defense, they could very well lose to the Texans this week without Lamar. They will definitely lose to the Rams if Lamar doesn’t play. The Rams have one of the best defenses in the league at the moment, and the Stafford to Puka connection has been tearing everyone up. Like I said, there is a good possibility that Baltimore starts 1-5. Which means that we really need to take care of business and beat the Browns and Bengals back to back. That puts us at 5-1 with 2 division wins. A four game lead over Baltimore is huge. Cincinnati honestly might not win another game until December when Burrow comes back.

  6. AFC North title is just sitting there, begging for the Steelers to take it off into the sweet night

  7. They have the rams and Texans next, then their schedule gets pretty easy. Best case is they are 2-4, get Lamar back they roll. But they have problems beyond Lamar. Wouldn’t be surprised if this turns into a lost season for them

  8. I always root against the Ravens, but Lamar seems like a genuinely good human being and obviously great player. I don’t want him to be hurt.

  9. People forget they still have Derrick Henry, fantastic line, and a damn good defense. Stats are being skewed right now because they played 3 playoff games in that of the Eagles, Chiefs, and Bills. (Most teams would have lost all 3)

These guys are going to roll the rest of the year when he gets back.

  10. With their next two games being the Texans and Rams they could be 1-5 if Cooper Rush doesn’t play well

  11. Its a shame. Lamar is a hell of a player. Wish he wasnt a Raven though.

That really could really be a problem if they have to roll with Rush for the next couple weeks. They have Texans, Rams, bye. They definitely dont beat the Rams without Lamar, and with the way that defense looked, not sure if they are beating the Texans without him either. 1-5 is getting damn close to having to run the table to be in the division hunt, especially if we can win our 2 games in the next 3 weeks against the Browns and Bengals

  12. Lamar is a great QB, that’s awful, but at 1-3 with how their defense looks, that might be the nail in the coffin for Baltimore

  13. The Bengals fully quit on the season when Burrow went down. The Ravens lost their best defensive player for the year while their best offensive player will struggle to stay on the field after a 1-3 start. There’s just no one standing between the Steelers and the division except a ton of future injuries to key players, and even then it’d just be leveling the playing field with the Ravens who are already two games back.

  14. So the pressure is really on to not drop either of our next two games. We definitely could lose to the packers, but if we’re sitting at 5-1 while the ravens are only at 1-5 or 2-4 then that title looks like it’s ours.

  15. Lamar has taken a lot of hits this year when in the past he had been really smart about not taking the big hits. He isn’t the biggest guy at only 210-215lbs. He is also an explosive runner but is starting to get on the older side for a runner in the NFL.

Hamstring injuries tend to linger because athletes don’t have time to properly ease into full explosive movements that NFL games require.

This could be also be a premature sign that the Ravens cannot/should not be running Lamar as much as they have but part of Lamar’s nature as a player is holding the ball longer while making plays with his legs. Their current OL with injuries to Stanley and Faalele at RG is not equip for Lamar to work more exclusively from the pocket. (Lamar himself has made huge strides in working from the pocket as a passer and is definitely capable but it is his legs that make him special.)

  16. Hope he gets better. Obviously it helps us if hes out but I like it when all of our players are healthy and playing one another 💯. I have him and tyreek in fantasy too lol its been a wild weekend

  17. Sucks for him, but we’ll take every advantage we can get. A 1-5 Ravens team, along with a Burrow-less Bengals and the Browns being the Browns…bodes well for us. We really need to be 5-1 going into the Pakcers-Colts-Chargers stretch.

  18. The man puts his heart and soul into the game. Always sad to see players get hurt. Best of luck for a speedy recovery. If we can’t beat the ravens at their best, then we don’t deserve the north.
