The Afc north looks to be at its lowest point in years and yet we can’t capitalize becuase our star qb who made everything seem better than it was went down and our coach runs the most obvious or just bad plays. This schedule man. (Come back joe)

  1. Joe isn’t going to fix this team. The first 1.5 weeks with him were also terrible offensively. Playcalling is abysmal, Zach needs to give up the reigns.

  2. We need to bottom out and hope that we clean house (coach, GM, scheme, etc). Wishful thinking I know. We have Joe, Ja’Marr and Tee for a few more years so hopefully can get a reset and back to winning.

  3. Joe isn’t coming back this season. We aren’t going to win anymore games this season. No coaching staff changes will be made but we will get to pay for stadium upgrades as tax payers. Yay life!

  4. Joey B, in a boot with limited mobility, is our best hope. Played better with a calf injury than JB6 is playing now.

Not saying he could actually play, but good gravy the O is horrid.

  5. I’m just mentally preparing for him to leave. He doesn’t want to leave, I know, but this kind of management and ownership will drain a QB of this level of his ability to tolerate this BS. He’s going to want to go somewhere he is taken seriously. He probably won’t go anywhere in this division but I bet he makes a play for somewhere else in the AFC while it’s weak.

  6. This sub knows fuck all about play calling. Did you see the game thread explode when the ball was batted down on 3rd and short? 3rd quarter, 11:11 to go, 3rd and 2 from our 38.

The call is empty backfield, Perine lined up far right with Chase inside. Perine runs a chip while Chase runs a quick out and turns for the ball. The design is for Browning to take the snap, drop one step and throw. It’s a quick, short pass to beat the blitz that the Broncos were bringing and pick up a first down. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that play call and teams run it every single week.

The wrong part was our fucking right tackle let two defenders run on either side of him while he stood there doing nothing and were left unabated to the quarterback. What this sub constantly thinks is a play calling issue, is a player execution issue. If Mims wasn’t playing terribly and stops even one of those defenders, the pass is thrown and Chase has an uncontested catch on the sideline for a first down because the DB was playing inside.

  7. The Superbowl window has closed, with or without Joe.

I feel so sad for Chase and Higgins with their long-term contracts

The ONE person from the front office I blame most is Duke Tobin and his abysmal player selection for OL/DL the last few years

  8. We haven’t looked like even a mediocre football team yet. Should be 0-4.

If you told me that these guys skipped training and practicing completely this off season, I’d believe you.

    Starts with the coach.

  9. Say what you will about Mike McDaniel as a coach, but at least his team hasn’t quit on him! (And I’ll save you the reply: YET.)

  10. burrow being out really exposes how bad the bengals are at drafting, roster construction and coaching. He should probably demand a trade to save his career after he’s healthy.

  11. If there’s no hope for the season just keep Browning the whole year and get a good draft pick out of this shit situation.

  12. Honestly it’s much deeper than the play calls. The players aren’t executing on any level. It starts with line play, which is embarrassing on both sides of the ball. When Browning has time to throw, he throws absolute ducks. Players aren’t getting opening or separation.

Every facet of the team is failing hard, and I think it’s because they have quit on ZT. I mean your star QB going down is a huge morale killer, but this team absolutely doesn’t care anymore. So at this point it doesn’t matter what plays you call.

  13. Everybody in here so depressed but I honestly can’t see a better scenario. We never could compete with the Eagles or any other top 5 team with confidence. Getting a high draft pick maybe even leveraging the pick for some more draft stock is what this team needs to get there. Not saying the front office will get us there with this opportunity, it’s the chance we needed.

  14. I’m not convinced the Ravens are actually worse, they just ran into a tough schedule to start and now will have an easy schedule to run through. I think they’ll still end up like 11-6 or 12-5 (assuming health)

  15. Ravens fan here. Parallels are wild.

If our QB is out, our season is over.
    Shit start to the season.
Bottom 5 defense in the league.
Bottom 5 OL in the league.
    Fans calling for everyone’s head.

Godspeed over there. Much prefer a competitive div over watching the steelers mid their way into a title.

  16. I see some of you are still in bargaining or denial, I’ve moved on to depression, although I may circle back to bargaining later this year

  17. Should just trade him to a team like LA when Stafford retires and let him be free to be the player he should be

  18. Zac Taylor: Okay guys we’re going to run it up the middle for -5 yards. They’ll never see it coming!

  19. The only way our team has been successful is a good rookie QB on a rookie contract, or if we have a high draft pick and Duke lucks out with high-talent selections (i.e Chase after Burrow injured his knee). Honestly, i think the only way we reset another window is to hope we lose a ton this year. Top 10 draft selection next year along with some of the young talent on the team now and maybe we could be back in contention 2027-ish. I’m praying for Josh Downs lol

  20. We should have a soft reset.

    Accept Joe isn’t coming back.

Brown Jr sucks and we may be able to leverage injuries to get something out of Chargers for him. Not sure if it’s even possible with the cap hat but try and get something for Hendrickson. Maybe even Karras, Logan Wilson and Taylor-Britt.

Stock up some draft assets that Tobin and Taylor can spaff up the wall on shit players they can then undercoach next season haha.

  21. There is something that is very off with Bengals! Too many offensive penalties which suggests lack of discipline. The play calling is very suspect too. The defense cannot stop the run or the pass very much. The defense usually gets an interception in most games. The Bengals are totally lost on offense! There is nothing to look for the rest of this season. The owners and coaches are not motivated anymore!

  22. We can’t capitalize cause our team sucks. Burrow couldn’t fix this. oline and dline get no push. Defense is slow (Knight and Hill are the exception). Game planning and schemes are atrocious. Too many average players as 1st round picks. No discipline (more penalties than first downs). Absolute disgrace.
