#cincinnatireds ROLLER COASTER Season Continues with Bad Loss to #pittsburghpirates

Well, Ellie J. La Cruz tried, but he can’t do it all himself, apparently. I mean, gets on base four times and he gets no help. What’s up? This is Jeff Carr from the Lockdown Reds podcast and the vibes are high. We got #packga gabp and we’ve got all the best vibes you’ve ever heard of in the entire season and hype videos. Doesn’t matter. Ellie de la Cruz homers, two-run homer, two singles, walk. He gets on base four times. The only time he scored was when he scored himself on a home run. The rest of the lineup had nothing. I mean, Spencer Steer walked a couple of times. He scored off that first walk. He was the other part of that two-run home run. Miguel Andrew Hart had a hit. TJ Fredel had a hit and a walk. And everyone else stunk. Horrible night from Matt Mlan. Matt Mlan killed so many rallies tonight, but the double play ball killed so many rallies tonight. Where’s the run game? This was a horrible showing by the Reds to start this Pirate series. They’re playing not to lose. You can tell me all you want about vibes. The performance says otherwise.

  1. Welp we had a playoff spot for 1 day that was cool I guess šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø seasons done… reds have done it all year they get your hopes up just to crash it all down. Can’t wait to see this awesome offense against skenes tomorrow

  2. Yes Elly did what he could , but the rest of the Reds offense didn't showed up in this game vs Pirates and now the Reds could be in trouble in the NL wildcard race especially if Mets beat the Cubs in their game and then if the D-Backs beat the Dodgers in their game. So the Mets could be back up on the Reds in the NL wildcard race and then the D-Backs could tie them in the standings. Mets-Cubs tied 7-7 bottom of the seventh inning. Then the Dodgers lead D-Backs 1-0 top of the second inning. So somehow need Mets, D-Backs to lose the Reds would stay tied with Mets one game ahead of D-Backs, but they got to win games not lose them. If they don't get in the playoffs as a wildcard they'll look back losing series to under .500 teams like the A's, Braves, Marlins, Nationals, Pirates, & White Sox ugh.

  3. I have been saying since the brewers series weeks ago that we wernt making the playoffs if they prove me wrong they do but I don’t have even a slight belief in this team

  4. The Reds just cannot beat the Pirates and the Brewers. Both have pretty well owned the Reds this season and last season. I hate to say it, but I told you so.

  5. Playing at Home …The Reds being the Reds playing to the level of their opponent & losing to the lowly Pirates once again! Also the Mets gotta Win!šŸ™„

  6. THE HITTING COACH OR MORE LIKE THE NON HITTING COACH, NEEDS TO BE FLOGGED! You changed your tune this morning by being so happy with this CRAP loss…. Skenes will own us tonight as usual….Lots of us regulars tried to temper your psycho optimism but this morning you were off the ledge…. come down to earth, please!

  7. If this was pre-1994 this team couldn’t even spell ā€œplayoffsā€. Fourteen and a half games back and we think they are playoff contenders? You can’t play baseball 3 out of 6 months and expect to make it past September.
Classic case of ā€œtoo little, too lateā€.
But we’ll get ā€˜em next year, right? Right???

  8. This exactly why i wasnt celebrating when they tied for the wild card spot. We have seen this whole year how inconsistent they are. Just gotta look forward to next year and hope to god they make impactful trades/signings
