#cincinnatireds Wild Card Roster is Set

Breaking news here on Tuesday, just barely afternoon, like just afternoon. Uh the Reds have announced their playoff roster and Santiago Espanol is on it. We actually discussed this on Tuesday’s episode where seemed like he was the pivot point. You could either keep Zack Maxwell on the roster on the bullpen and have Santiago Espanol in the taxi squad, but if you got the Zack Maxwell, it felt like a lot of other things would have had to go wrong. Don’t love him in the playoff high leverage situation. I still think he’s got a bright future. Just don’t think he’s ready for the big lights right now. Everybody else is the usual suspects there. There are no other surprises other than the fact I mean Brady Singer’s off the roster because he pitched on Sunday. He would not be rested and ready to go for this wildard series. And then you know Espenol being the 14th position player. So, of the 26 players, the Reds have a breakdown of 14 position players, 12 pitchers as they get set for this series in LA.
