This whole season has felt a little off. I am just glad they made the playoffs. Hopefully they can pull this out.
Time to sit Crone if tomorrow’s SP is a lefty for OMG. You can even make the argument to sit Sheets for Johnson to start the game (can’t believe I said that). You can eventually pitch hit for Crone and Sheets later in the game.

Pivetta was good enough, L was definitely on the offense. Have to score runners on 3rd with less than 2 outs
Not saying it’s over and going doomer yet… but if you’re surprised by today, you missed a lot of August and September.
Why did the guy who was throwing 103 past EVERYONE not come back out for the 8th? Bad move by Shildt. I know they still would have been down by a run, but down by 2 changes the mentality of the at bats when you need one swing to tie.
Tatis (especially) and Bogaerts going down looking in the 8th and 9th is unacceptable. Tatis didn’t swing at a pitch up in the zone and then watched strike 3 go by in the middle of the plate and up in the zone at a critical time. Swing the bat bitch.
Pivetta pitched great. The bats need to come alive. Also, not sure how I feel about Estrada…he’s not pitching as well the last couple months. Him giving up a run is not why we lost by any means, but it doesn’t help.
I’m at an all time sad. But, you gotta keep that mother fucking faith. Cease masterclass and bats get got incoming. Love my fucking padres through it all
