Why haven’t the Tennessee Titans fired Brian Callahan yet? SHOULD they fire him already?
Tennessee Titans fans, I wanted to talk about this today because I’m seeing a lot of you guys talking about it. It’s what’s on my mind. It’s what I’m seeing in my comments section every day. And so, I want to address it because it’s what’s on everybody’s mind. Brian Callahan, head coach of the Tennessee Titans. In my opinion, the handwriting is on the wall. He’s going to be fired. I think he knows it. I think every coach in the building knows it. I think every player in the building knows it. every higherup in the organization knows the handwriting’s on the wall. The proof is in the pudding. However you want to put it, he is going to be fired. That’s my opinion. I think it’s a foregone conclusion, and I think it’s been a foregone conclusion for a week. The question then becomes, and I get it’s a it’s an understandable question. Why not just fire him? That’s the first question I’ve been seeing from people. If that’s true and they know they’re going to fire him, they know he’s out, why not just go ahead and rip the band-aid off and fire him? Well, let me say that’s what I think they should do. I think they should have fired him after the Colts game in week three. Like I I agree with you. They should fire him right now. The reason why I don’t think they have is all PR related in my opinion. It’s all PR related. I think Amy Adams Strunk has developed a reputation for firing people. Three off seasons ago, we fired John Robinson. Need to look for a new GM. Two offseasons ago, we fired Mike Vrabel, need to look for a new head coach. Last off season, we fired the other GM, Ran Carthon. Had to look for another one. This offseason, it looks like we’re going to fire the head coach, be looking for a new head coach again. She’s got a reputation for firing people. And whether you think this is fair or not, she has developed a reputation for being impulsive, too hasty to fire people, you know, and whether you agree with that or not, that’s the perceived thing about Amy is that she’s too hasty to fire people. She keeps just firing people way too soon. So, I think she’s wanting to drag this Brian Callahan out, this whole Brian Callahan thing out as long as she can so that she can say, “Look, I gave it enough time. I I didn’t fire him in week three or week four or week five. I gave him time when everybody said I needed to fire him. I gave him every opportunity in the world. I think that’s what it’s all about. It’s just we don’t want to be too quick to fire him because we fired so many people and we don’t want to make it look like we just fire people on the spot. I think that’s what it is. It’s PR related. Also, you have to remember the Titans this whole off season preached patience. We’re going to be patient with Brian Callahan. We’re going to give him every opportunity to turn this thing around. We’re going to see this thing through to the end. And in their mind, if you fire a guy in week three, week four, week five, that’s not patience. That’s not seeing it through to the end. We can’t go back on our word. We said we’re going to be patient and see it through. So, let’s be patient and see it through. And while in some situations that would be honorable and that would be cool, I think Brian Callahan has forced their hand. I really do. I think he’s been so bad last season and in the first month of this season, I think he’s been so bad that while it’s not ideal, while it’s not what you wanted, while it’s definitely not what you set out to do, I think he’s forced your hand. I mean, the last home game they’re booing him out of the building. They’re chanting fire Callahan. He has repeatedly made mistakes in games that are baffling, not knowing that the elbow equals two feet. The sequence before half against Denver that resulted in free points for Denver. The sequence before half against the Rams when we had a chance to be aggressive after an interception to score a touchdown and we just settled for a field goal. Actively settled for a field goal with multiple timeouts. The sequence before half against the Colts when we tried two 60 plus yard field goals and then gave the Colts free points before the half. And then the sequence before half against the Texans where we had a chance to be aggressive and score a touchdown and we settled for a field goal. We we let the foot off the gas. This has happened numerous times and I’m talking about the sequences before half, but there’s been numerous times where this guy has just his play calling, his offense is not good. The route combinations are horrible. Nobody can get open. It does not suit itself to a roster that’s already not very good and which is what the Titans have. and then his in-game awareness, the adjustments that never seem to get made. I mean, it’s just a one thing after the other. And let me ask you this while I’m thinking about it. All these times when Brian Callahan is super conservative and he’s coaching scared and he’s just surrender draw on third and 12 instead of trying to get a first down or, you know, getting in the red zone and just taking the foot off the gas to make sure we get our field goal, this, that, and the other. If he’s doing that over and over again, what message is that sending to the team? The message that’s sending to the team is he doesn’t believe in us. He doesn’t believe in Cam to make the throw that he needs to make to get that first down. He doesn’t believe in the offensive line to protect him. He doesn’t believe in the receivers to get open and catch it. And if he doesn’t believe in the players, why would the players believe in him? If he doesn’t believe in the players, why should the players believe in him? I think Brian Callahan has been so bad in the first month that while I understand their reasoning, we want to be patient. We want to see it through to the end. That’s what we said we were going to do. That’s what we’re going to do. He’s forced your hand. He’s been so bad. He has forced your hand. And their reasoning is PR related, but you’re about to have a mutiny on your hands with the fans because the fans are fed up. The other thing I’m seeing in my comments a lot are people who say, you know, yeah, you could fire Brian Callahan right now, but what good’s that going to do? Like, you may as well wait till the end of the season because we see this all the time. You fire the head coach, you promote an interim head coach. Does it really make that much of a difference? Is that really the best path forward? Yes, I think it is because I shared a post last night on the two-tone talk X. I wish I had it pulled up, but statistically statistically teams that fire their head coach in the middle of a season statistically more times than not perform better with an interim head coach than they were with the head coach that got fired. That’s not just me wishful thinking. Go read the post I shared last night from I wish I could remember the name of the account. I should look it up. But statistically, teams perform better after they fire their head coach in the middle of a season than they did before. Not saying they become playoff teams. is not saying they become contenders, but they statistically play better and win more once they fire the head coach. So, that’s that. But also, I think Brian Callahan is actively making this team worse. I legitimately believe that Brian Callahan, the players are not bought into what he’s selling. They know he’s going to get fired. So, it’s like a cloud hanging over the team. I mean, think about it. If you went to work and you worked under a manager who you knew was going to get fired very soon, you wouldn’t even want to listen to what that manager had to say. You’ just be like, “Dude, you’re getting fired. I ain’t listening to you.” So, what do you think’s happening in the locker room? These guys know Brian Callahan is going to get fired sooner or later. So, why would they even be inclined to buy into anything that he’s selling? Like, it’s just a dark cloud hanging over this locker room. And I think it would be better if he were gone because if you promote Dinard Wilson or Fossil or whoever to interim head coach, at least you stand a chance of those guys saying, “Okay, we’re done with this conservative crap. We’re the Tennessee Titans. We’re not good. We’re not going to be a playoff team. So, let’s just try and have some fun here. Let’s try and have some fun and let’s try and air this thing out and let’s be aggressive because why not?” Also, remember what we said before the season started. What was the whole point of this season? Regardless of the wins and losses, the whole point was we want to see first of all Cam Ward grow, learn, get better. He’s not growing or learning or get better or getting better based on what we saw Sunday. I think a lot of that is due to Brian Callahan. So, let’s just get him out of the way. Let’s get him out of there and let’s let’s change up our scheme and our philosophy for this offense. The whole point is to see Cam Ward grow. And I think Brian Callahan is actively hindering that growth. But it’s not just with Cam. It’s all these young players, the Cedric Grays and the Ellio Manners. Like these guys, we want to see them grow. We want to get to the end of the season and be able to say, “Hey, we’ve got nine or 10 guys that we drafted that we believe in as building blocks for this team.” Never mind, y’all already traded one of them in Jarvis Brownley last week. But that’s what you want. And right now, these players aren’t even being given an opportunity to show anything because it’s so hopeless and it’s so boring and it’s so lifeless. And that I don’t see that changing with Brian Callahan in the building cuz it all stems from him. Go back to last year. I saw the same stuff last year. Lifeless, boring, a bunch of guys look like they don’t want to be there. It’s not going to get any better under Callahan. They’re not suddenly going to come out in Arizona this Sunday and be ready to go and ready to get a win. They’re not going to do that because they’re going as their leader goes and he’s taking them nowhere and they know it. Even if they like him, they know he’s not taking them anywhere. So, I think they should fire him. I think it would make the team better. Not saying it would make them a playoff team, but I think they would be better with somebody else as the interim head coach for the rest of the year. And I think you would get a better look at Cam and these other young guys for the rest of the year if you get Callahan out of the way. Just my thoughts. Let me know what you think in the comments.

When, not if, when Callahan gets fired, the next coach Amy Strunk hires better be someone with experience coaching a pro football team and someone that knows how to win. Hiring someone with no prior head coaching experience was a bad move. Because there are a lot of guys that can be coordinators but can’t be head coaches.
He's being for what, 3 or 4 years? Make the guy work for his money. We're terrible & no one is gonna turn this season around. Leave him out there & squirm at press conferences & make it so obvious he's terrible that he can't get a job as a ball boy.
Amy needs to sell the team. She is the common denominator in all this. Get a billionaire that actually cares about making the Titans titans.
I think they are waiting for the road trip to be over before they fire him. IMO
Jags fan here, love your videos. I like hearing the perspective of a rival team's fans, and you're very entertaining in your way of voicing how the fans feel
They can't afford to wait any longer. They need to fire him immediately and remove that toxic energy and that loser mentality that Callahan has instilled in that locker room. He has to go asap or I think we are going to have a rough few years. And if Cam is the man that we want to move forward with we need to make changes immediately or we may drive him to the point of wanting out of Nashville.
Shut up queer. No one cares what you have to say about anything
You look like someone who’s mom took waaaay to much Tylenol while pregnant 😂😂
Fire Brian
He WILL be fired after the GREAT MIKE VRABEL comes to town and puts the beat down on Cally.
So freaking glad Houston RID themselves of Bud and his seed Amy. Lost the team to another city but it was worth getting rid of the worst ownership family.
Weather she sacks him now are later in the season this year is going to be bad poor cam😢
Callahan is God awful…but you guys drafted a QB who can't speak English. He can't be the face of a franchise and lead a team
I think the next 4 games are genuinely winnable like if they can’t pull at least 1 out of those then 0-17 is actually possible. Probably lose to the chargers then another chance at this bad Texans team.
PREACH !!!!!!!! PREACH!!!!!!!!
As a Giants fan who hates the coaching staff I am kind of envious you are closer to dumping yours.
My name is Brian Callahan, and I haven't been fired yet… ha ha. Just kidding I'm not Brian Callahan.
Is Chad Brinker just a finger pointer? He doesn’t take any accountability, but wants final say so.
Bad roster= Ran’s fought
Losing record= Cally’s fought
Needed a new GM, passed it to Borgonzi instead of taking over.
No no don’t fire him marry him instead
Bones takes over as interim. Walks out of tunnel with eye black and coaches with his shirt off. Brings X up to roster. Tells Cam this is Tennessee Hurricanes. Sling it! Titans win out. lol. At least it sounds entertaining.
Preach!
