NHL Preseason Highlights | Jets vs. Wild – September 30, 2025
trophy. Uh, all the accolades in the net and in the other net it’s Jer Valstead. He’s probably looking at Halabuk saying, “Hey, that’s the kind of guy I’d like to be like someday.” Hanel Levank to pick it up for the Jets. Knocked out toward the line. Johansson intercepts for the Wild Center for Hartman. It got through. Boy, he’s winning these battles, too. I mean, you can come into camp lighter and faster, but you still got to be strong and battling for position. He’s done a great job this first shift. Bardi sends it in behind the net out to the line. Pon controls the long shot. Knocked down by Volstead and he’s able to track the rebound and cover. Eight years in a row he was in the top six in the Selki voting. Here’s a turnover and a backhander slides through Ballstead and the Jets grab a one zero lead and this is another of the former Bulldogs. Cole Kept Winnipeg’s first goal here tonight. Yeah, faceoff win and the Wilder want to get this out but it’s just a a soft play up the wall and then Urch gets a second look at it and picked out of the air by Kepki. He’s able to just finish this one on the five hole. Ball head kind of caught by surprise right through the five hole. Trenan fires it wide. Long rebound held by Spurgeon. His shot save Heluck. Rebound loose. Trenion and Felino both hammering away out to the line for Favor. Middleton back to Favor. Favor’s long shot went wide. Trenan on it quickly while establishing a forche as Trenan brings one off the side of the post. Favor to Middleton down low. Felino couldn’t pull the trigger on the one-time. Favor a shot. Saved by Helle. It’s not as obvious who’s going to be where and that creates opportunity. Baldi’s in alone. He scores. A brilliant feed by Capriov. And Foley ties it for Minnesota. [Applause] Good strike offense. Capri off does a great job on the wall here. He just he just ships this one into space knowing that Baldi’s He’s moving. Smart play from Capri off. He sees Baldi. Baldi, what a nice pickup to to be able to corral that, stay on sides, possess the puck, and then this is kind of his calling card on breakaways these days. It’s his quick little shot where he sets his feet, he gets his head up, and a little snap shot. He gets it right. not to be redundant with the intermission. But I do think that that is important, you know, not just playing well, but playing well the way that you want to play that the coach is is happy with. Fully 100% at least not like believing or skating like he’s 100%. Everything takes a year to recover from. And um if you think about that, that happened in the final preseason game. So yeah, it’s it’s on everybody’s mind. That’s worst case scenario. But I think these guys too understand the importance of a of a good start and if a good start is playing full speed your final exhibition games. Volstead beaten again. This one out front. I follow was doing the work along the wall. Nomesticov deflects it and it beats Volstead. It’s 21 Winnipeg. I think it’s I follow that ends up bringing the puck to the front of the net from behind the net. Vid’s down. He’s got that short side post covered. Yeah, just a little room in the five hole. The Masticov with a great feed from a follow and Hartman lugs it through center. Hartman fires on goal and Peloba will cover and get a whistle with it. Gustiffson moves it ahead. Anderson Dolan in on the forche. Ford comes off the wall with it centered and Gustiffson was left alone in the slot but sent it over the top of the goal. Boy, another four checks for Winnipeg where they make the wild defense turn, create a a turnover, then throw it right to the slot to Perfetti. Hartman’s clearing attempt hit Yurichek Taves to Perfetti and a bouncing puck recovered by Taves. a shot. Another chance for Taves. Johansson got a stick on it. Last year they had that sevengame trip that really set the tone for the season. Showed the ability to come from behind to win on the road. Went 5-1 and one on that trip. Out to Buham at the point. Terra Senko moves into the circle. His shot got through and a save by Heluck. And at least the first indication here is that down low Baldi back up high Buddy into the corner for Terasenko. Back up high Bu. It was deflected by Capriov on the way and Minnesota with a power play goal has tied the game. Some anxiety with that power play. not getting a great look, but they get it set up in the zone and Bu does a good job. They’re kind of looking past the Baldi, the the pressure from Winnipeg. There’s a lot of room in the middle there and Caprioff finds the soft spot. He’s the bumper, but he kind of falls off to what would be Buum Strong’s side. The great little tip in the high slot and Nomesticov tips it back the other way. Valardi plays it across. Stanley centers. Ballstead got a pad on it. Got some good news with at least a return to practice today, but not yet ready for game action. Peon sends it across. Tave set it wide. Nomestacov sl across. I’m not sure if he got a piece of that. Hand eye coordination. Knocked that first one down. There’s the second. There’s another one. And now he and Rossy come in short-handed. Baldi works around Miller. A shot and a save by Hel. Second one. similar position, but it’s not the giveaway. Good stick. That one’s right by the foot. Turns that one over, but then he understands. All right, now I got numbers. I I can carry this puck. Perfetti sends it into the corner. Now it’s Lambert with it. Valardi tried to center it. Deflects across and Trenion works one-on-one against Miller. Faber back to pick it up for Minnesota. Tipped away by Nomesticov. Nomesticov comes out of the corner with it to the line. Miller a shot and that got through. Allstead. [Music] Second power play chance for Winnipeg. Centering pass for Valardi and a save by Walstead. A clean faceoff loss, but Valardi kind of gets lost. The Wild gets stacked up. Little miscommunication where Faber and Middleton kind of queuing on the same guy. Rossi, he he doesn’t feel comfortable. Chibberov plays it into the corner. Wallstead with a pad stop. Lambert sends it up high. Pock shot that’s deflected in the slot. Lambert after it and an interception by Felo. Felo short-handed for Minnesota. Scores. [Music] [Applause] [Music] So Paul Mstead said with the save puck goes to the corner then good pressure. Watch from the left side of your screen. He gets on his horse. He takes away a little space. Bianc with the giveaway. And then how about the pull away speed from Marcus Felino there. Little burst. Four strides separation and then the puck’s rolling on him. He gets it to set at the last second. Gets the head up. Miller Hansen without a stick. Miller fires. False dad able to get a whistle and a much needed whistle. A goal scorer. NHL shot. He’s able to use it in Iowa. Point goal scorer. Great rookie year. Here is Hate with a shot right on. Saved by Helle and he covers. made the comment on how the puck just sometimes finds certain players and and that shift it found Jonathan Taz, but he almost acted like he really didn’t even want it. You don’t see him trying to simulate what you can in terms of game intensity throughout training camp, both during practice, then when you’re in these spots trying to simulate a regular season game. Marco Ross is taken with the ninth pick in 2020. [Applause] Austin kicks that one aside. Dlo Baldi able to hold. Favor retreats. Baldi walks by KKY down the slot. Sends it across. Rossy denied by Halabach. What an entry by Matt Baldy. The winner Connor Halabach. Look at this move by Baldi. Capri off to Johansson. He clears Yurov with a shot at the empty net. It comes after the horn, but Minnesota hangs on for a 3-2 win. [Music]
Kirill Kaprizov had a goal and an assist and Jesper Wallstedt stopped 26 shots as the Minnesota Wild topped the Winnipeg Jets 3-2.

🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Boldy is lifted up on great level.
kirill the thrill for seventeen mil
Hell yeah lets go Wilds!!!
Boldy looks like he has improved over the summer. Wow!
The insane difference in tone of these commentators when the Wild score vs the Jets is nauseating.
There is no logical reason why the Wild won that game. From the looks of how that game was played by the Wild.
It's going to be a long season. The Jets were on everything. They had chance after chance, in the slot no less
and couldn't put it away. The Wild are still playing old fashion hockey. Bring it up the wing and then park someone
in front of the net. Where is the rotation. They are basically standing still on the power play.
Boldy looked great. Boldy is someone they can build around. OH wait. They don't have anymore money.
Kirill got all the money. Sure Kirill made a difference in this game by being in the right place.
How long will that last? Can Kirill stay healthy. Three weeks in, Kirill will be hurt.
What is the Wild's front office thinking. They just got out of massive contract with two players that left years ago.
Another year and more of the same. Don't get your hopes up. I just don't see the talent.
I played in men's leagues for the better part of forty years. I know what I see.
BOLDY WITH THE DANGLE!
Boldly has been working on his hands. Undressing defensemen.
Minnesota Wild
Commentating was garbage
$207,000 per game for Kaprizov this season. Our boy is gettin' paid. Hopefully he can stay healthy the majority of the season.
Kirill just learnt what caphit means
How is that not offsides at 2:29? both feet cross before the pick even gets to the blue?
Good to see Hellebuyck in playoff form
Jets are bad, the Habs would never have lost this.
Whoever said the Jets are bad has a mental issue. Jets will continue to win like last year. They got 5 or 6 really good guys that can score plus the rest of the team got better. Hellebuck will lead the nhl again and this is only preseason. Guys aren't in game shape yet. Love me some Jets.
Buium really looks like he can play.. Two points for Kirill!😊
5:24 This crap has to start being called. After the damn play even.
Let’s go Wild
