  1. I want someone new if Boone doesn’t fix this soon. I want someone outside the organization like Mark DeRosa and Skip Schumacher as candidates

  2. No ace wants to leave in the middle of the ~~6th~~ 7th inning with a lead.

    Horrible decision by Boone.

Add it to the pile of horrible Boone pitching decisions.

    Edit: Wrong inning.

  3. Boone should adopt the George Constanza policy of doing the exact opposite of whatever his instincts are telling him. But seriously, fuck Boone and this team is a bunch of fucking chokers. I am so tired of it.

  4. Something Something Poor management, yadda yadda, 8 years go by, and nothing changes.

  5. I would’ve left him in until someone reached.

Boone not allowing that is baffling. He’s a nice guy imbecile who thinks 100 pitches causes arms to fall off.

  6. After he just made a fucking great play in the field… You brought him out for the 7th, let him fucking go

  7. Boone will verbatim say “we liked the matchups for Weave better there, Max gave us some great innings but we just liked the matchups that Weave had to get us those outs.”

Absolute garbage response and everyone knows it, he has no clue how to just let the best pitcher on the roster finish out the inning, he has to make his mark and for whatever reason that only he knows, he goes with Weaver instead of literally any of the high leverage guys. Absolute disgrace, I feel bad for the players

  8. Cora leaves his Ace in while Boone trusts one of the worst pens in the second half lmao. Weaver has a 7 ERA, 4.8 FIP, 4.5 xFIP in September. It’s not a tough fucking call. Even if you go to the pen go to someone else.

  9. Boone is a trash manager. Nothing new to see here.

Weaver looked like it was spring training

  10. You can’t pull your ace in the playoffs in a situation like this. You just can’t, ESPECIALLY with a shaky bullpen and EXTRA ESPECIALLY for a reliever who has been awful that month. Crazy shit

  11. So glad we’re saving Fried for the offseason. God forbid he pitches more than 102 pitches in a 3 game series.

  12. You ride your ace in the playoffs. Let the man pitch! I’m afraid Boone fucked the Yankees for the remainder of the series.

  13. He was rocky at times, but he got out of every jam he put himself in. He earned the right to go until he couldn’t. How many more years of Boone overmanaging games do we have to put up with?

  14. If we don’t win the next two games, this _should_ be final straw that ends the Boone era.

But Cashman won’t fire Boone and Hal won’t fire Cashman. We’re stuck with these knuckleheads.

  15. 100 pitches has become such a garbage arbitrary number to pull pitchers

If a guy isn’t in trouble and has given up 0 runs unless you’re replacing him with your bullpen ace like Bednar it’s a bad move

15-30 more pitches isn’t going to kill a pro baseball player

I miss the days when you let your ace pitch a complete game if he has a shutout

  16. Gotta live and die with your best guys here. Boone has no sense of urgency. He’ll never have the balls to stand up to the analytics guys, which will cause him to lose the clubhouse. He has to go, but Cash will never fire him.
