Every NHL Teams Worst Trade Since 2000: Western Conference 
Here is every NHL team’s worst trade since 2000 Western Conference Edition. The Anaheim Ducks traded away Sheay Theodore to the Vegas Golden Knights during the expansion draft for selecting Clayton Stoner. The Calgary Flames traded away Matthew Kachchuck to the Florida Panthers in which that caused the Panthers to be a powerhouse. The Chicago Blackhawks went into a downward spiral after trading away our Timmy Paneran to the Columbus Blue Jackets. The Colorado Avalanche gave up on a young Chris Drury early as they traded him away to the Calgary Flames. Before Cory Perry became a member of the Dallas Stars, the Stars traded the Cory Perry pick to the Anaheim Ducks in the 2003 NHL draft for two seconds. In 2015, the Edmonton Oilers made a mistake by trading away the Matt Barzel pick to the New York Islanders for Griffin Reinhardt. The LA Kings traded away a fan favorite in Rob Blake to the Colorado Avalanche in which that helped the Avalanche win the Stanley Cup in 2001. The Minnesota Wild traded away a future Norris winner in Brent Burns to the San Jose Sharks in 2011. In the 2008 NHL draft, the Nashville Predators traded away the Ear Carlson pick to the Ottawa Senators for the 18th pick, in which the Predators selected Chad Packard. In 2007, the San Jose Sharks traded the pick that turned into Max Peteretti in Josh Georgees to the Montreal Canadians for Craig Revit for the Seattle Kraken. Too early to tell. Ryan Miller’s tenure with the St. Louis Blues was a disaster as the Blues traded for him in 2014 for the NHL’s newest team, the Utah Mammoth. It’s too early to tell. The Vancouver Conucks literally traded the ninth overall pick in the 2021 NHL draft for Oliver Ecman Larson. And that ninth overall pick turned out to be Dylan Gunther. Also in 2021, the Vegas Golden Knights traded their franchise goalie Mark Andre Flurry to the Chicago Blackhawks for a bag of pucks. And the Winnipeg Jets traded away the Knicks Suzuki pick in the 2017 expansion draft to the Vegas Golden Knights in exchange for selecting Chris Thorburn.

The Tkachuk trade was the beginning of the end for the rest of the league and nobody realized at the time

Tkachuk didn’t want to stay in Calgary. So Calgary‘s hands were tied. Under the circumstances, it wasn’t a bad trade.
Flyers let Bobroski go,,,traded Gost for a high 2nd round pick,,let Lyons go to and now we have the worst goalies in NHL
The Blues traded Chris Pronger for nearly nothing. They also traded Ben Bishop for nothing.
The trade for Ryan Miller isn’t even top ten worst trades. They still had Brian Elliott, Jake Allen and a dude named Jordan Binnington in the system.
