Will the Brooklyn Nets be BAD? Wanna bet on it? 2025 NBA Season Preview!

So, next up is the Brooklyn Nets, who managed to squeak out 26 wins last year. They actually had a pretty hot start, but they ended with a record of 26 and 56 after the team told Jordy Fernandez to cool things down cuz they were winning too much. They had a better record than the Sixers. That’s That’s my little uh you know, conspiracy theory. But, and their overunder is 20 and a half. 20 and a half. 20 and a half. Not a lot expected out of them. I’ve been saying I thought that they would be a decent team under Jordy Fernandez, but that was before they traded Cam Johnson and before Cam Thomas pretty much said he’s not resigning with the team. He’s probably not going to be a part of their future. Yeah. But he also signed the qualifying offer. So that means like he’s unrestricted free agent. So he has to play well and show that he deserves that money. Yeah. So, but the team is going to be kind of jelling and growing together. They also drafted four guards. They drafted all ball handlers and no shooters. Uh, this is the NBA, so you kind of need to have some shooters. They got Terrence Man, Michael Porter Jr., Haywood Highmith. Mhm. I didn’t know they got Haywood Highmith. Yeah, they he was dumped there from the heat after the Norm Pal thing. 20 is not a lot. They’re going to be bad though. They’re going to be really bad. We know that they’re going to be bad and they want to be bad because they are out their picks later. I’ll be first. I’ll be first. I’m going to What were you said? They were 26 last year. Uh 26 wins last year. How many games? How many games did the Wizards win last year before I made my pick? The Wizards were only at like 17, I think. 18 and 64. Okay. I’m going to say under on the Nets. I think they’re going to be really bad. I think they’re going to find ways to sit Porter Jr. and those kind of guys bats and even they my point. Yeah, they don’t even have to sit him necessarily, but I think they’re just going to be bad. DLo is gone. At least DLo, you know, make say what you want about him, but he’s like a a guy that’ll win you a game or two. Ice in his veins. Yeah. Uh, and yeah, I’m going to take the under. I think they’re going to be really, really, really bad. I agree. I’m going to go under on the Nets, too. I like Jordy. I’ve been saying they they have a bright future, but it’s not now. Yeah, I’m going to lock it in and go under as well. I think they’re going to be horrible. And I hope I’m wrong, but and they want to be. They’re going to be playing rookie. They have they drafted a ton of rookies that are ball handlers. Like they’re they want those guys to grow through the mistakes. So, it’s not it’s not completely in mockery, you know, kind of way, but it’s they’re just Well, I think they just did it so like I don’t know. It’s they can figure out who’s going to be all handlers in a couple years. They’re going to take all those guys and they’re going to figure out which one of them is good and like like who can we keep and we dish. I the other thing I’ll say is I do trust Jordy for his coaching and his rotations and things. I think we saw a lot of it with Mike Brown, but who knows if he’s any good with scouting talent or personnel. He might have just totally blown this whole thing and even developing that same talent.
