Here’s the Titans’ portion of ESPN’s latest article. Looks like ownership is losing patience with Callahan and Tennessee is viewed as a desirable coaching location around the league. (Scroll through for the full portion)
I have no idea why we would be desirable absolutely ridiculously run organization.
It starting to feel like we could be 0-15 and Amy would still wait to fire Callahan until after the season
I’m not sure if this is common knowledge, but I heard from someone with a connection on the coaching staff that Bill Callahan is only showing up a couple times per week to work with the O Line so I wouldn’t be concerned with him leaving when his son gets fired
I think it’s a desirable spot for someone a kin to Callahan. No real experience, no idea what you’re doing. No experienced coach would want here unless they are desperate
My theory is that the new gm has always planned to hire a new coach but has held off for a couple of reasons: 1: giving Callahan some time to see if he can do the job or if he can’t, is a good candidate to tank for good picks. 2: showing potential new HC candidates that we can commit to them for some time and that they won’t be fired at the first sign of struggle (making the position a more desirable).
That’s the thing. It’s not being winless (which does suck but we were the worst team last year) it’s just how terrible we look and appear to be getting worse. Which is concerning.
Not to mention Callahan not knowing rules about catches and stuff too.
I’ve said the bye week always made sense if they are going to do it in season.
Of course it’s desirable. Who wouldn’t BS their way through a couple seasons and collect a fat check to retire on?
I’m saying that Callahan(s) will be let go right after the “Vrabel Bowl” and before the bye week.
If not then, it will be at the end of the season.
IMO the real date is week 7. If (and most likely when) Vrabel’s Patriots embarrass us at home, I can’t see Cally keeping his job come the following Monday.
Tank this, tank that.
Keeping Callahan in the building is tanking Cam’s confidence and he looking worse every week.
It is malpractice and fucking BS. Unfair to Cam.
This shit is unwatchable with Callahan at the helm. I’ll be multitasking and listening on 104.5.
But I’ve been told this is revisionist history lmao

And to think we let Vrabel go for this guy…
I don’t feel we’re truly desirable, we possibly have a franchise QB, a very good LG, and an All pro Defensive Tackle, and that’s it. We’re void of talent and any average player in free agency we’re going to overpay since how awful the team is.
Callahan turned out to be horrible. I hoped we get someone out of the Shanahan/McVay coaching tree. The play action motion offense is killer, whatever the hell offense callahan runs is trash. I just hope it’s not mccarthy or gruden.
