  3. Hoping we can bury Cease early to give Imanaga a safe cushion to work with when he eventually comes in. Imanaga has been a bit homer heavy recently, but maybe the fact that the Pads don’t hit lefties well might balance it out.

  25. Saw on MLB network that the Cubs have struggled against high fastballs in the second half of the season. That was Pivetta’s plan of attack and it was pretty effective. Cease will try the same for sure. My hope is since Cease doesn’t have the control Pivetta has we can get some walks and force some hitters’ counts.

    Cease will have a short leash. Jumping on him early would do wonders for today. Force them to go to that elite bullpen early to stretch it as thin as possible
