    Also MLB: Schedule games only involving eastern teams at a time where more than 25% of the US population more than likely won’t be able to stay up for the end of the game.

  6. For me 8pm is preferable to 1pm. I have a toddler and an infant so at least at 8pm they’ll be in bed and I can watch uninterrupted. Afternoon games are really tough because I’m on dad duty.

  8. oofta that could be brutal, wouldn’t get back to Green bay till approx. 1am and my folks wouldn’t get back to the UP till at least 3am, may have to pull for the Yanks on this one.

  9. This is dumb. The mariners are hosting a game on Saturday. They’re the only west cost team hosting so they should be playing the late game.

  10. Hilarious that this article doesn’t even mention NLDS game 2 for us…

    Edit: they just updated it to add the monday NLDS game 2 games but did not designate a time.

  11. I’m really confused by this.

    They are both Eastern time zone teams, no matter who wins they will play the Blue Jays in Toronto which is also Eastern time zone, so it seems utter meaningless to change the playoff scheduling based on which teams win.

  12. I’m rooting for the 8 o’clock game for the simple fact that afternoon games suck for people on the 3rd base side if the roof is open (which I imagine it would be on an 87 degree day).
