  1. that fucking sucked. FUCK.

Go cubs go, let’s win tomorrow. There’s no reason to not believe. Happer/Pete/Tucker: please do something tomorrow.

  2. Bats have to wake up tomorrow. Jump on Darvish early

As good a game as Craig had yesterday, didn’t work out today. Opener gave up a run and I don’t know why he let Shota pitch against Machado again

Guess it doesn’t matter if they can’t score runs

  3. I don’t even know how you battle against 100+ mph fastballs all day long. Lights out.

  4. Series tied but it feels like backs are very much up against the wall. Offense HAS to take advantage of Darvish tomorrow

  5. Curious why you don’t pinch run Tucker there. Not saying it changes the game but just with the calf injury why risk it

  6. Well that was a lot of really fast pitches. None of which were thrown by the Cubs’ pitchers.

  7. The downside of games like yesterday feeling so exhilarating is that these games hit the other end of the emotional spectrum. Just a flat day of ball with the bats.

    Tomorrow or bust.

  8. Disappointment aside, watching dudes get mowed down for a few innings straight is honestly just not that interesting. MLB needs to figure out how to get more balls in play

  9. Unless they score 3 or 4 in the early innings tomorrow I don’t think it will end well. The Padres bullpen is basically unhittable if they throw strikes. Some of the nastiest pitching I’ve seen for a complete game.

  10. I wanna add that this commentary team has seriously affected the enjoyment of this series. And it has nothing to do with perceived bias. They’re all just unbearable and that Foghorn Leghorn announcer must get paid by the word, because he never shuts up.

  11. Hopefully we don’t have to face miller again tomorrow haha or if so maybe he’s tired and drops to 100-101 haha.

Props to that guy man, he is a beast.

  12. Let me guess, the comments are full of people condemning players and staff to the abyss?

  13. Petition to ban the following people from Chicago indefinitely*:

    •Mason Miller

    •Maxx Crosby

**(except in the even of a trade to a Chicago team)*

  14. Pitching was good enough to win. Unfortunately the offense closely resembled what we’ve seen for most of the 2nd half.

Still have their shot tomorrow. It would be advisable not to fall behind early because I don’t like our chances against that pen.
