I hate to say it, but to my naked eye yesterday, CMC has lost some significant burst / speed. There were holes yesterday and he wasn’t able to get through them and to the second level fast enough. Combo of age/injury and his ridiculous workload (out of necessity rn) is hurting his play.
CMC is washed.
What does Like Farrell do well? I’m being serious and am curious because we signed him for a reason right? But he’s been objectively unplayable from a blocking perspective and short of one weird play in New Orleans he’s been virtually absent in the receiving game.
How in the world did Trent and McKivitz have the highest grades.
I can’t stand Bourne! 3 drops on all very catchable balls and would have all been 1st downs. He’s never had hands, just good at dancing and hype man.
Bourne missed a key block on what should’ve been a CMC touchdown, then he dropped two passes from Purdy (the first one wasn’t as bad). At this point I’m not sure Trent is actually better than McKivitz. Just an all around terrible outing for the offense.
I’m dying on this hill, that was Brock’s worst game as a pro. Bal/KC were elite defenses at the time and Purdy had bad games. Jax is not and everyone of Purdy s throws were off target. DV away idc. I hope he can turn it around by Thursday night
Why did Demarcus Robinson only get like one target? Can anyone answer that?
Colby still young and Puni clearly playing on a bum knee but the Colby-Brendel-Puni trio is some of the worst interior run play I think I can recall. CMC running into a meat grinder every time, BRob I think is more equipped right now with his build to take those inside carries tbh.
Lots said about CMC, I’ll add my 2 cents. He ended his season last year with a pcl injury, after being rushed back from achilles tendonitis. He’s probably not going to find whatever his ceiling is now until next year, if he manages to not get hurt this year. Superbowl run CMC was insane and probably the only year we’re going to see that, but I think he can get close again. Just probably not this year.
“Connor Colby is doing so good for a 7th rounder.”
Like the bar was pretty high with Ben Bartch…
I don’t want to live in a world where McKivitz is our best pass protector.
Brendel should be a zero for his run blocking. He’s pretty much an extra defensive lineman for the opposing team.
Pff has some limitations. They said Bryce young played better than Rodgers week 1 and there’s just no chance.
