Heisman finalist, multiple All-Americans, 50-3 record, and one of the best college QB stat sheets of all time.
The guy oozes football and every time a reporter asks him a deep question about the league and modern offenses you can see his excitement talking about it.
Whether the QBs we currently have are the future of the team or not, I trust Kellen to make the right choice come next April if we do decide to go QB.
He is the youngest coach in the league and other coaches already seem to have a lot of respect for him, which is a great sign. I believe he will right this ship in time.
Have faith y’all.

Can we be the first team to have their active head coach also be their starting Qb ?
He’s already a better head coach than Dennis Allen, even with 10,000 penalties the first three games.
Interesting. He could probably start for Cleveland.
Interesting. He could probably start for atlanta.
I mean, He’d probably be the Cowboys’ starting QB atm if he wasn’t injured (or recovering from offseason surgery idr exactly why he was unavailable at the time) when Tony Romo got hurt causing Dak to take over instead.
(My dad is a big Boise State fan and I have to hear about how great that roster was and how all of those players that came out around that time [Kellen, Doug Martin, Jay Ajayi, Titus Young, Austin Pettis, Shea McClellan, Jeron Johnson, Billy Winn, etc, etc, etc] would be Hall of Famers if they would have been used right or stayed healthy. And DeMarcus Lawrence, Leighton Vander Esch, and Ryan Clady were proof of it)
Sounds a lot like Payton, and with a completion % that is almost Brees-tier. He just needs a normal team’s salary cap.
Moore is definitely a bright spot this year
Interesting. He could probably start for Carolina.
Im still big on the KM hire. Team seems super invested in him, he can communicate well and his playcalling is getting better as he settles into the role. Just wish people wouldn’t write him off yet.
Rome wasn’t built in a day.
I think the majority of the fanbase knew what this year was once Derek retired. And tbh as much as I *wasnt* a fan of him, I’m very thankful he retired for two main reasons:
First is obviously the cap break it gave us. The hole he dug us out of just by giving up his contract is something to genuinely appreciate, very selfless.
Second is the expectation that set for our fans for this year and the future. With rookie QBs, most people understand we’re not competitive and it will absolutely give Kellen a longer leash with the fans. Lord knows if we started 0-4 with Derek as QB some of our fans would already be calling for Derek and Kellen’s head. Starting out this way means Kellen truly gets to build this team without too much pressure.
If Im honest I feel like I see the team already fighting harder for Kellen than what we saw last year under DA. I look forward to seeing the progression these next few years, and I’m hoping in maybe two years we can look forward to playoff hopes again.
Not a Saints fan, but from Boise. I really hope you give him at minimum 3 years due to how bad the situation was that he came into.
boise state was the bomb with him as QB. those were awesome years for all college football fans!
I remember watching him at Boise State. It’s honestly surreal that he’s our Head Coach now..
Philly really misses Moore although they 4-0 they are crying they still miss him
