My brother called me and told me while I was in the middle of an Overwatch game and I said, and I quote “shut your dumb ass up with that stupid lie” 😂 and he said “I’m serious” and I said yeah right and that I’d call him later and hung up. Then in the middle of the OW game, someone said “OMFG DALLAS TRADED LUKA”
Pretty sure my entire team AFK’d to check cause after that no one was playing, not even me. I went to ESPN, and I was just in shock the rest of the night. I never even called my brother back, actually. 😂 Absolutely insane trade. Like, if you had asked me to bet on which one would happen first Luka getting traded, or me becoming a millionaire, however long those odds are, me becoming a millionaire would have seemed more likely. Like, there’s just no scenario where Luka ever 1) gets traded, or 2) becomes a free agent. There’s just certain players that you just know they don’t have to worry.. Luka, Lebron, AD, Steph, KD, Giannis, Joker.. there’s more but I mean, those kinds of players.. if they’re leaving a team, it’s because they asked out, not because the organization gave up on them.
Just a bizarre moment in NBA history, for sure.
