  3. It’s funny that they made this guy some Pittsburgh hero for acting like an asshole and nearly dying. I’m glad he survived, but that should’ve been the end of the worship. He clearly has an alcohol problem and he showed up to court in a hoodie and jeans, so he clearly has a maturity problem too

  4. The one comment saying can the Bucs get anything right is a bit annoying.

    It’s not on them to personally vet everyone who throws a first pitch. Adding to that, it’s not like a first pitch means someone’s a hero. I’d even argue the first pitch was as much for the fans that had to witness the fall as it was the for the guy himself.

    The guy has some issues and it’s a reminder to stop glamorizing people you nothing about but let’s not blame the team for this one.

  8. Dude’s life is a fucking rollercoaster. He’s young though. Here’s hoping he can get his shit together while he still has some goodwill saved up

  9. Him and his buddy who gave him the alcohol should have been arrested once he was walking again. Should have been no celebration of him, he should be punished. Glad he survived the incident caused by him being an asshole, now lock him up and ban him from PNC, and get him in AA.

  11. We all make bad choices ( like him drinking too much). I’m just glad most of my bad choices were not broadcast to the entire world.

    That said, he almost definitely suffered a traumatic brain injury. That will impact his critical thinking his entire life.

  12. Yet another example of “don’t believe your Lyin eyes” brought to you by the Pittsburgh pirates spin office. We all saw it and heard about it based off accounts of those around him that day who said he was belligerently drunk and acting a fool. Glad he’s alive but this new allegation, unfortunately, further confirms my initial suspicions: JAGOFF.

  15. I remember when it happened plenty of people said he was a belligerent drunk and it was him carrying on that caused the accident. Then the FO comes and paints this tragic tale and turns him into a hero, only for him to go right back to being a belligerent drunk.
