It’s essentially what it looks like. Looks like the Shire uh from the you know the practice photos as well as you know Kevin’s pressers and whatnot. It’s good time stuff. Big time stuff. I would say no because you never know at quarterback. It is JJ McCarthy show once he’s healthy and ready to go. Uh but I I I just feel like you don’t punt on Wentz, right? So Wednesday we always say the Wednesday you know take with a grain of salt. Sure. Uh but a lot of DMPS whole lot. So walking through. Well good news first. So Tyler Baddy full CJ Ham full. Both of them are in the 21day return to practice window. Be nice to have Baddy’s energy on special teams as well as potentially against the run. Of course CJ Ham special teams superstar fullback extraordinaire. A great pass protector as well. Would love to see it. Also, Xavier Scott with a knee. So, not the ankle from the beginning of the season, knee, uh, but is full participant. And then the DNPs. So, Darasaw scheduled day rest, which is good. Also, it’s very good that Harrison Smith is not listed, uh, for the second week in a row on the drip board. Diamond Jackson expected with coming back from the wrist surgery likely week seven. Jurgens hamstring. We’ll talk about Jurgens here in a sec. Ryan Kelly concussion DMP. JJ McCarthy with the ankle DMP naturally. uh but uh is looking to get some work in towards the end of the week. Brian O’Neal knee, yes, DNP and then also Andrew Vankel neck DMP already been ruled out uh for Sunday. Now, yeah, most of these guys are just on the injury report because they have injuries where they’re going to miss time, but also not enough to put them on short-term IR, so they have to be listed on the injury report. And with Jurgens, it’s just like what what have we done? Like honestly, what what have we done to the football gods to just make them poop on us all the time? But uh Kevin Seafford, ESPN, who’s not Carl Gerberman, on Wednesday, Kevin McConnell said the Vikings would look to get injured center Michael Jurgens, who didn’t practice today, back into at least some of practice on by Friday. Suffice to say, the team’s offensive line is very much in flux at the moment. So, uh Jurgens, uh with a hamstring did have a sleeve on at practice. He didn’t participate on Wednesday, but we we’ll see about Thursday and Friday. And of course, Justin’s school is already out there. just Blake Brandle just stop starting games. You know what? I’m going to start even harder. It’s exactly what’s going to happen. And there’s entire offensive line issue. Uh I know that people have brought up trades except given this one-off game in London and as well as the by-week, I don’t see many trades happening, especially since ideally right after the buy or a little bit after Darasaw, Jackson, Kelly, Fry, O’Neal will be back, right? As we said, like there’s tons of issues right now, but conceivably this first team offensive line could be back together, you know, week eight, week nine at at the latest, but we’ll see. But even the the freaking backups are getting hurt. Like Justice School had a concussion. Jurg is now dealing with a hamstring. Do do you play Brandle at center? He’s got zero goose egg. And Dander Russell career snaps at center in the NFL, regular season, in preseason, or in college back Oregon State. So that’s good. Huber does have some center experience. Same thing with Henry Bird and obviously Rashawn Lee. But that’s what we’re talking about at this point. Also, if you put Brle from left guard to center, like what do you do? What do you do with the other guard spot? Do you have Walter Rouse who they’ve worked in at guard? So, it would be Darasaw, Rouse, Brle Fry, school. I hate everything. I I honestly hate everything right now, but hopefully knocking on all the wood will be back to good uh eventually as soon as week seven. That’ll be good. Also, oh, thank heaven for week seven. Uh Kevin Okonnell talked about JJ McCarthy’s return to the practice field potentially this week. Uh this full quotes from Alky Athletic. My hope is soon, talk about JJ again getting back. Sooner rather than later, we can get him at least back on individual level where he’s throwing to our guys and working on his technique and fundamentals. I probably would not expose him to the look team so he wouldn’t be on scout team. Uh which they alluded to on the broadcast on Sunday based on nothing. Uh maybe at some point get him some real reps, but you hope at that point uh you you get him some reps back in there with the guys. Uh, but I think it’s more important to just feel his footwork and with it specifically being the back foot of his base as the as a right-handed thrower, just making sure he trusts that thing to put it in the ground and transfer his weight and starts feeling what it’s like. Uh, then you really might know what it’s like to have to lose. Uh, it’s different than just playing catch when you’re standing there. These guys can all do that. It’s the full speed nature truly stretching the the field 53 and and a third and down the field as well. and the pocket movement and all that stuff. It’ll be a process of getting him in individually working towards that. Uh he’s doing some things with the trainers now that he’s in the he’s in that part of the rehab phase, but we’re going to want to see it with cleats on the grass. So, that’s pretty much like he not he’s not going to return until he’s 100%. And I think that it’ll be good if McCarthy gets some some semblance of practice in on Thursday and Friday. You have the full by week. Uh but of course uh you know players are still around the facility either getting treatment or getting work in. And then you have uh the full week ahead of the Eagles game. So I still think it it’s possible and plausible that you could see him week seven against Philly. Even though yes, the Carson Wentz revenge game narratives and stuff, but I I feel like if he doesn’t play against Philly, you won’t see him until Detroit at least where I I don’t think you roll him out there on a short week uh against the Chargers out in LA because there’s not going to be much practice. Actually, here’s the thing. Thursday night football, like there there isn’t a real practice in between Sunday and Thursday. Like you you have a walkthrough or two. That’s about it. All right. So, uh, and also, do you want to roll McCarthy out at Detroit against that great pass rush, Aiden Hudson? Whatot? Although, there’s never a perfect time to come back. I mean, right now kind of looking like Baltimore is is a good spot. Who knew that Baltimore would be the That’s a win dog. Who knows? Vikings never make it easy. That’s what happens. But you know, KB1 looks like he is going to be getting it done. Uh, current QB1 Carson Wentz talking to the British media jackals. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh. You look like a giant Irishman. So hopefully he gets back because I I know that every single team deals with injuries, but honestly this is a spot where you’re gutting half your team and it’s the top half, right? So your best players are going down injuries and you got to question the randomness of it, man. Speaking of injuries, uh Daniel Oeus, ESPN beat writer for the Browns. Browns defensive end Miles Garrett, as you heard of him, isn’t expected to practice today because of an ankle injury per the team. So, the the Browns are having their practice on Wednesday and then they’re flying out Wednesday night. Uh, so they had practice yesterday. They’re arriving in London practicing Thursday, Friday. This could potentially be just a veteran maintenance, you know, type issue with Miles Garrett and he practices. Even if your practice is limited limited Thursday, Friday, uh, he could still play and he’ll still be a freak. Honestly, they could Miles Garrick could saw off his foot like Carrie Elways in Saw and probably still get a sack and a half. Actually, probably not against uh against Derosaw. Also note this because Mazgar generally lines up with the hand of the dirt right defensive end left side of the offense and if they’re going to move him around which would make sense especially since the Vikings are going to have Justin School a right tackle as well as some mination of whatever on the in interior they’d want to move him around but he should pro it would behoove him to get some practice reps in that regard and if he doesn’t practice or is limited in some fashion maybe that’s advantage for the Vikings who knows but Yeah, I’m not buying that Miles Garrett isn’t gonna play, but yeah, we’ll see what happens uh Thursday and Friday. Also, so even in the Cavalcade of injuries and terribleness and all the things that are going on with the Vikings, Jaylen Redmond is emerging as a star, man, Vikage, uh Vikings defensive tackle Jaylen Redmond this season. 76.4 PF, grade 17 in the NFL, which is which is good. Uh three sacks, leads the team, nine quarterback pressures, tied for fourth on the team. uh four tackles for loss, leads the team, one force fumble, second on the team. So Quy went out and found baby Aaron freaking Donald in the XFL, but of course he gets no credit because people just want to be mad about Lewis scene. But either way, it it’s absolutely it’s absolutely a great thing. And I know that Allen Hardgrave were the major signings, but just eyeball test-wise, take the names off the back of the jerseys, Jaylen Redmond and Levi Draco Rodriguez have been playing better than both of them, right? I know the LDR got dinged uh for you a bad PFF grade on Sunday, but just eyeball test. Who brings more juice? Jay Red and LDR over Allen Hargrave right now. And that’s the truth, man. They have to close the transfer portal, man, because these draft picks, this is a weird time for the NFL draft because because of the Rona years, you have guys coming in with six, seven years of college experience and they went to three, four schools. Uh, per persuasion. Since becoming DC, the Vikings, Brian Flores is 4-0 against rookie quarterbacks. 2024, 2 and0 against Caleb Williams. Maybe you heard of him. 2023 2-0 against Bryce Young and Aiden O’Connell. So, bring it. Also, a picture of Will Evvis. Yeah, we took him to town, but he was second year quarterback last year. Also, he had that random touchdown to to Westbrook, which really chat my ass last year in fantasy. Evans, man. But yeah, you know, Brian Flores is revved up, ready to go uh to go against uh a rookie quarterback Dylan Gabriel. Although Gabriel’s game is a quick game, and I’m sure that they’re just going to put it in Judkins uh stomach, you know, 30 times after they saw what Gainwell did to the Vikings on Sunday. So, we’ll see. Florida’s going to have to adjust because teams just aren’t going to drop back five and seven step drops in their offensive line, isn’t there against a great pass rush? I mean, who would do that? Uh, and also this is this just irked me. Spencer German be for the Browns. Browns rookie Shador Sanders only pantoimed answers to questions about the quarterback change and his role as quarterback three. So the media come came in asked Shador questions because Gabriel is going to be quarterback one. Joe Flacco announced he’s going to be quarterback two. So Sanders role remains unchanged as the emergency quarterback three. So when he was asked questions, he was just like, which is just so stupid. And now everyone is seeing why teams passed on Chador Sanders because this is this has been his game. This has been his bag for, you know, the last couple of years when he’s not getting his number retired at Colorado where, hey, is he a good quarterback on the field? Yes. In in spurts, in certain situations, in the right scheme and system, yes, he can be an excellent quarterback. But just this immature like bratty like this is just childish where hey Dylan Gabriel might be competing with you at that position but guess what? He got drafted ahead of you and guess what? He’s still your teammate. So you support your damn teammate and instead of just trying to usurp him at every single opportunity, right? Hey, you’re going to get your shot. It’s the National Football League, man. Also, maybe you shouldn’t turn down the Ravens because you’d be start starting this week for Baltimore. But I don’t know, like like you you’re starting to see why teams pass him and why he fell to fifth round. And if Brown’s ownership didn’t force uh Barry and Stfansky to take Shador in fifth fifth round, like I wonder how far he would have fell. Who who knows, man. But uh it’s weird because this is the first time I’ve actually thought about Shidor Sanders this week, even though the media just makes it all about him all the time, which I do not understand.
