No team in the NFL has generated fewer big plays than the Bengals since 2022 (from Marcus Mosher on X)

  1. This actually surprises me. Not shocked to see that about our rushing game since ‘22 is when Mixon stopped being as effective for us, but it feels like we hit big pass plays at a good clip.

    I guess not.

  2. Shows how abysmal the run game has been.

Big pass plays probably smack dab in the middle of the league, big rush plays are the lowest stat on the list of any category.

Big pass plays should be higher given who we have on offense, but man, the run game has murdered this offense. Even a below average run game would have the bengals in the middle of this list.

  3. Maybe now people will start to realize how much Burrow covers up with this exceptionally bad offense.

  4. agree on ZT. i’ve been saying for years.

regardless, i have to ask, how do you guys have only 1 less big play on receiving than BAL? especially with 9, 1, and 5.

  5. Clint Kubiack or Joe Brady better be coaching this team in 26″ also fire Duke tobin and hire a real GM

  6. 1) we don’t ever have explosive running backs (Mixon was basically dead at this point and Brown has been disappointing this season)
    2) Joe missed portions of two seasons in this time frame and yet our 156 big time receptions are better than 14 other teams.

This does not actually look that bad in context.

  7. damn. almost like the scheme is trash. why has no one called out the coaching staff?

  8. this isn’t a great stat for me. kc, the rams, and the bucs are super bowl winners and are mid or lower while sf, baltimore, and the bills are on top and don’t have any super bowl wins. big plays is a fan stat and not an indication of an orgs overall ability.

that said, you still don’t want to be on the bottom of this list with a quarter billion dollar offense.

    FIRE ZT

  9. 2 things. First we can’t give Joe enough time to develop a big play and 2. I think we play for long drives to keep the defense off the field.
